I totally agree with what you're saying, and I probably should have used a different word than complete. Adrian is far from a complete QB, but he is a pretty good runner, and I think a better passer than T-Mart. Thats why I said complete. However there is no question Ganz is a far more "complete" QB than either Martinez. I was just answering the question of Adrian Martinez is our best QB since?

I'd say T-Mart. But I think Adrian is a more complete QB then Taylor was. BUT Taylor was alot more successful then Adrian has been thus far in his career

I seen someone earlier dissing on taco pizza (too lazy to go back and quote it) and I must say Casey’s taco pizza is straight fire! -
If that translates to getting top tier recruits and wins I’ll be thrilled!

How Nebraska Can Take A Massive Leap With NIL
Gorillahawk replied to BIG ERN's topic in Husker Football
It depends on what you consider a large amount of money, opendorse founder Blake Lawrence said he thinks Adrian Martinez could make up to $150,000. While most players won't make near that, it's not crazy to think that a lot of contributors could make 20 or 30k in 4 years -

How Nebraska Can Take A Massive Leap With NIL
Gorillahawk replied to BIG ERN's topic in Husker Football
A couple upsides that NU will have is that 1. there is no major sports team in the state and Nebraska football is easily the biggest ticket in town/the whole state 2. there are a lot of opportunities across the state, and even just across the Iowa, Ks, and Mo borders for players to make extra money. NU has a great setup for the NIL, much better than say Texas schools, or many Big Ten schools that will have to compete with major league teams for funds. When I played college FB at Pitt State (small D2 school in Pittsburg Ks), it was hard to find a job, as pretty much every company was a booster to the school due to the small community size. IF Nebraska's athletic department plays this right, it could be something in 10 years we look back on as the thing that got the program back on track -
** 2021 Opponent Previews : Illinois (Game 1) **
Gorillahawk replied to Saunders's topic in Husker Football
after reading that, it kinda sounds like Bielema is weeding out players who aren't going to fit into what he planned. It said they had 19 OL on roster and added 2 OL recruits, so it might not even affect their depth that much. -
what's the chances that they already have someone either committed or in mind, and now they are doing the "national search", using a firm, act for appearances sake?
-
or you're the problem

I'm guessing it'll be Stepp if he's healthy. Its a lot easier for a rb to score down inside the 5 then it is for a wr just about anytime

I feel like we all know by now that we should not take too much from a spring game. BB will do better at Illinois then he did at Arkansas but I don't see him replicating the success he had at Wisconsin -
Brett Venables is super highly respected across the country and even more so in KS. He's a Salina guy which is around 1.5 hours from Hays so he's super well known in that area of the state and a lot of people hoped he'd take the KSU job when it was open. If he is in on recruiting a KS kid, it's going to be extremely tough to get him.

I saw this too, but I also wondered if they would have had to tackle our RBs if that would have slowed down the pass rush since they wouldn't have been able to just pin their ears back like they did. It's pretty easy to not have to worry about the RBs when all you have to do is touch them. The red team would have scored a few more with Martinez in if they would have been playing tackle football

The pick didn't worry me at all, since obviously it was a what the hell it's the end of the half pass. I thought he looked as good or better then he ever has
-
It was just nice to see a couple deep balls! That should help the run game!

Gut Check Poll - Will Husker go to a Bowl Game in 2021
Gorillahawk replied to TGHusker's topic in Husker Football
With the portal I think “expect transfers “ is going to be extremely commonplace from here on out. And not just at Nebraska but everywhere -
I kinda like that he was blunt and it was not a ton of spring ball sunshine pumping. It's refreshing to hear what the coaches are really thinking

I think a lot of the fan base is just so jaded we focus on the negative a lot more than the positive, and in doing so just assume that player is going to end up being super disappointing. Especially at the QB position
-
I tend to agree. I think Smothers is talented, but he strikes me more as a runner, a lot like McCaffrey was but he does have a better arm. The few videos I've watched, he seems to shot put the ball and has a low release point. I've been to several coaching clinics and almost every QB coach I've heard talk, speaks to the importance of elevating the ball high in the throwing motion, for several reasons. I think Smothers is a great athlete but I'm not convinced he'll be a good QB
-
He's such a mystery to me, because I thought there was a lot of good things being said about him last year by the staff
-
I am assuming you mean why they train to run the 200 or 400 in track? If that 's what you mean then almost all sprinters run more than just the open 100 and the 4x100 relay. These young men still want to compete and win at everything they can. Plus I'm sure their track coaches want them competing in more than just 1 or 2 events.

K-State has been to a few teams (mainly Texas and OU) what Northwestern has been to teams in the BIG
