I just hate the terms like basically and pretty much. Just boot them and get rid of the distraction completely. It’s unnecessary to even have the possibility of a return to be on the table.

Can’t we just boot these knuckleheads from the program and be done with it. Frost seems to give these dudes a lot of unnecessary leeway. Move on from these two and Washington - let them have their 2nd and 3rd chances elsewhere.

It’s sad isn’t? We’re arguing with each other about which side of the ball is worse. At the end of the day the fact we’re even doing this shows none of it has been good enough. It also falls on the feet of one guy. We’d be singing Frost’s praises if we won 8+ games this year, he gets the blame for us not being bowl eligible once again - no matter which side of the ball we want to point fingers at. Disclaimer: blaming Frost for a poor season =/= I want him fired.

At this point I don’t think there is any coach/player above the blame. At times the offense wasn’t near good enough. At times the defensive wasn’t near good enough, all the time the special teams wasn’t good enough. The talent isn’t good enough .The culture isn’t good enough.

I'll also contend PJ is committed to winning above all else. It's the same mentality you see in Urban Meyer, Dabo and Saban - almost to a fault in most cases. QB's sucked in year one, we're giving someone else a chance. Defense not cutting it in year 2 - see you later DC. No one player or coach is above winning in that program. I will say if Frost is truly committed to winning above maybe hurting a players feelings or putting a coach out of a job - we will see a couple of changes. Bring in as many LBs as possible and open all 4 of those jobs, that was the worst unit on the team (I actually think he is doing this), make it a completely open QB completion this season and play the guy that gives you the best chance to win, make a change with who coaches special teams - end of story.

Tommie is a fan at this point, he obviously was heated we lost to Iowa for the 5th straight year, and won't go to a bowl for the 3rd straight year. Did he handle it the right way? No. But if you're a husker fan and not heated after this season, you're probably a monk.

Martinez was a known commodity by the time the Iowa game rolled around. Leads the B1G in turnovers. Mobility in question, not fluid East to West - Frost doesn't trust him in the passing game - Iowa wasn't gonna let him beat them with his legs. McCaffery showed flashes of potential in his time in the game (and last week). Ability to hit the open man, good decisions on RPO, home run threat in the running game. It's not that McCaffery would have for sure given Iowa fits, it's the fact Iowa had proved they had Martinez pegged and a switch up could have caught them with their pants down - give McCaffery another series and see where it goes.

7 years seems like a truly arbitrary number. We should see significant progress next year

We all wanted Frost. A lot of us ignored the negative of hiring a coach with 2 total years as the head coach and 1 winning season as a head coach. He has a ton of learning to do, and he hired a young staff who all have a lot of learning to do. My hope for the offseason is Frost brings in someone with a ton of experience to be with the staff in some capacity (coach, analyst, Asst AD). Frost needs someone to check his ego from time to time - and it's painfully obvious no one on his staff will do that. I think Ron Brown is the only one we have on staff that would do that, and even he is more of a friend/mentor. Frost will continue to have to learn lessons the hard way, and with his stubbornness, I honestly don't know how much learning is happening.

We had what 5 chances to score to take the lead. Defense wasn’t the one who fell apart when it mattered.

I was pretty harsh on Chin but he deserves credit for the last 2 games. Hats off to him - looks like he learned more then Frost did from those losses.

I believe it already came up in a presser earlier this year. It obviously impacted him and he's protecting Martinez. Detrimental to the team this season. Hopefully someone he respects calls him on it (TO, Ron Brown) because it potentially will rear its ugly head next year.

Ego the size of the entire state. Wasn't gonna admit he was wrong all season. Better to just lose the game.

Hopefully we don't bulk him up to the point he moves like sloth. Staff is 0/1 on that front.

I honestly can't believe what I saw today. The fact he went back to Martinez after McCaffery's TD pass was mind blowing. He is more married to Martinez then he is winning - and it's so god damn obvious.

IF they want to pay me a consulting fee, I could probably pin point why the culture sucks - and it's not "Riley's players". Its cause you preach about players not wanting to be there, and not wanting to win. Then proceed to coach not to win, and play the guy moping around at Qb and not the guy that gives you the best chance to win. You think these guys don't see who the better QB is in practice. Maybe they're sick of the coach putting kids down for not buying in - when he himself isn't doing all within his power to win a game. That will kill a culture. My 2 cents.

Honestly at this point I think if the coaches put in McCaffery and he tears it up they look like idiots for not doing it earlier. They’re all in on Martinez.

Special Teams is always coaching, not talent. It reflects This staff and it doesn’t reflect well.

Seems like a lottery ticket, but who knows could be the next Ziggy Ansah. Can't teach elite physical stuff.
