I can agree if he really has to cut that much weight. To be honest, I've never believed the weights (or heights) they list are all that accurate. Stemming from my college days and interacting with guys in classes that were clearly not what was listed. My initial reaction was it would be good from the balance and leverage side as you mentioned also.

I don't think DL will care how much he suggests or hints things to them, they'll still sack him.

Adrian had a better arm, Taylor was a better runner. Put AM on that same team and the results would be largely the same if I had to wager. So legitimately 2021 was year 1 for him. Covid was a lost year, and his year 2 was 10-3 and year 3 was 13-0. Still a case of good coaches are on the up by year 2, and sure as hell don't take until year 4 or 5 to show progress!

The stuff between the ears doesn't necessarily become super easy, but I would argue the physical part is quite different. It should be much easier to elude a rush against South Dakota State. There's a reason those kids aren't starting for Ohio State. He can win being more physically gifted at a lower level is what I am getting at, making the mental part less important.

In all seriousness, you only know that a handful are really good college QBs based on production they've already had, and those guys will be fought over heavily. Some might have been products of their old systems however, or of their old coaching staffs. Less experienced transfers might flourish in a new setting, and with new coaching. We basically can't predict what will happen.

It happens much slower though, that's the idea. No guarantee of success, but you have to admit it's easier in FCS or D2.

I think he knows HH is not a QB, and he tells him that. I think Purdy stays and gets a legit shot, with competition from a portal QB and a freshman. Purdy still has potential and has the tools to succeed.

I can see that, but that team specifically doesn't call runs for QBs. That's the reason I asked if you watched them much. I like it, I'd rather not have a QB run outside of a scramble or maybe a sneak as you mentioned. Always ends in them being knicked up late in the year.
