  1. Probably exercised yeah, haven't heard a number like that actually being paid you're right.
  2. I am not advocating to move on at all, but you'd be surprised at the buyout numbers out there. Auburn just fired Gus and will pay him $21.45 million, which according to this is only the 12th highest buyout in college football right now. https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/auburn-football/gus-malzahn-buyout-auburn-fired-2020/ Frost would be about $25 million from what I can tell, after the extension last year.
  3. That's exactly what I said yep, thanks for clarifying that for me. Relax people, take a break.
  4. I think the message was for Scott to run the ball more at that point. Or maybe that's just my take against the 110-something ranked rushing defense anyway.
  5. Fred had family history here, unique situation that I don't think applies to your argument.
  6. I don't think it's being entitled to simply not like the sh!+ we're being fed. It's not sunshine and rainbows. I'm simply asking to not witness a team who traveled barely 50 kids, down 33 from Covid, walking into Lincoln and easily winning a game, then trolling us on the way out of town. I'm asking for more than 11 wins in 3 years. Is that entitled? If it is then let's just shut this thing down if we can't even ask for that. Frost will get more time, lots of it, but this game was important for the trajectory of this program and it was a huge failure.
  7. I was talking about the coaches. Trotting the same batch of assistants out. Sure the OC was changed but we all know who the OC actually is. Frost changed DeWitt and we've seen improvement. Time for more. This program is at a crossroads, like it or not. And the phrase is most certainly accurate, press conferences, game plans, clock management, turnover issues, penalties. Same things over and over. You can choose to not see it, that's fine, we will agree to disagree.
  8. I agree the phrase is worn out, I'm very tired of watching play that warrants some to make excuses. What else would you call what you said about "Frost having no other choice" with young offensive lineman? No matter how big the rebuild, we should be seeing better than this in year 3. I am in no means calling for Frost to be let go, but I don't think asking for more from the assistants after 3 years is outrageous at all. I don't think it's reasonable to trot the same crew of assistants out next year and magically expect different results. Like Einstein's definition of insanity...
  9. Just stop making excuses for Frost. It's year 3 and Minnesota was down 33 players today. They're not making excuses, they're finding ways to win still.
  10. I've been really rooting for him, hoped he'd play also. I lost my Dad at 24, but had a bit more time to prepare (cancer). It definitely made me grow up faster but some days are still difficult looking at my kids and wishing they'd been able to meet their Grandfather.
  11. Got a better idea? Do you enjoy the same 3 teams winning every year since the playoff started? I sure don't.
  12. This is why, in my opinion, two things should happen. 1. Split the divisions, P5 and the rest. It will make the other division much more interesting for all involved. I would watch the G5 playoffs for sure. 2. Expand to 16 teams and put a cap on 4/5 star recruits per team. Folks say that their are only 4 or 5 teams that deserve to get in, they're correct but that fact is a self fulfilling prophecy. Kids only want to go to those schools and it won't get better until things change. The NFL playoffs are so good because of parity. A wild card team can win, and have won, Super Bowls. Keeping a 4 team playoff and allowing a few schools to take all recruits will kill any remaining parity and ruin the product. I am already so bored watching Clemson play Alabama that I barely pay attention anymore. Something needs to change or the trend of lower attendance, less viewers will only continue.
  13. @Hilltop I second the sentiment but the game is in Lincoln this year.
  14. You guys thinking this is at all the fault of Purdue's defense....
