  1. I started reading the last 3 posts...... then I made it all the way through.
  2. The countdown in the 247 link says 1 PM CDT. https://247sports.com/Player/Thomas-Fidone-46086515/ Could be wrong, otherwise that show would be lame!
  3. Ha! If he does that, please pick LSU and not Iowa.
  4. I don't think he'll be playing safety. We're about to have an OLB flipped and don't have many prospects there left with no visits happening. . I expect Koby to slot at OLB.
  5. Sounds like a knock off Dr. Suess trying to teach philosophy.
  6. Pretty sure that is exactly what the NFL wants. Someone who can deliver what the owners say and then take the heat for them. This is a perfect job interview. They don't need someone who thinks for himself, just a figure head. They have others who actually plan and implement.
  7. That just isn't correct. It's closer to 15-17 million more yearly than 7 over the Big XII, and the Big Ten renegotiates right after the others do to push it more. The gap is going to remain for a while. Push that over a decade (150-170 million) and that's your new facility. Still think that's not a big deal? https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/report-sec-comes-in-2nd-to-big-ten-in-2019-revenue/
  8. I love the optimism, but I still have lots of questions about the coaching staff. Wisconsin's and Iowa's have both proven themselves to be good at what they do. Nebraska's has one good year out of 4, with a much higher talent level than their competitors in the conference. What @Decked is saying is that they need the same level of talent advantage here to be as successful, and I tend to agree. 40s classes won't get it done. The one after could be much higher again, you're right, but we need a very solid winning season next year to recover from 2 straight losing seasons and then a lower ranked class. Another losing season and all the shine is gone on that 13-0 season that feels like it was about a decade ago already.
  9. Honestly if all campuses went virtual, football might work fine and not contribute to the spread much. It wasn't ever going to be the 100/150+ on the football team that would spread it far and wide, it was the other 30k-50k students. That basically creates a bubble on each campus.
  10. They were talking about the college football playoff right? So, yes, they have to be left out.
  11. Anyone still think one conference canceling and others playing won't affect recruiting? Notre Dame could be a dream school sure but this makes me go hmmmmmm. @Mavric Could you add ND to the poll please?
  12. Well I don't agree with pretty much all of the novels above, football isn't under attack by people who don't like it, that's pretty much nonsense. What I think will happen is less kids will play it in the coming decades, Mom concerned about head injuries etc. , and other sports will start to become more popular. A gradual decline but it won't go away.
  13. You forgot the part where you fumble for absolutely no reason at the 10 and you fall out of bounds. You attempt to recover the ball again at the 1, but Cy gets there first. You go on to fumble 7 more times, losing 5. Cy escapes with a 2 point victory.
  14. It's his job to go get more donations to maintain that nest egg and grow it. Get those boosters yo pay for it!
  15. A go fund me to support local businesses and workers affected by the cancellation would be something, but the athletic department will be fine.
  16. If that's the case, less 2021 games, put me in the camp of just waiting. I'd rather have a normal full season when it comes back than two chopped up, partial seasons.
  17. Somebody's still butt hurt over the past. Kick em while they're down. We do have an inflated sense of self importance still from once being at the very top, that's true. It's also true that we still live in people like Desmond and Wilbon's heads. They wouldn't care enough to freak out if that wasn't true.
  18. You don't care about former football players??? Some of those are elderly! You can swing the narrative any way you want. I still think a total year over year number is an enlightening statistic no matter how you break it up.
  19. A couple reasons for some, but of course not all. 1. If they were coming from the areas that are playing, to go north, they might reconsider. 2. They might want to be at a school that pushes to play versus cancel, in case something crazy happens again. 3. The perception of balance of power further shifting south, jump on the train.
  20. Yes, Nebraska married up with the Big Ten. But conspiracy theories are so much more fun to talk about, especially when we have no football.
