@Redux Iowa has been the better team 4 years running, no question about it. I think the saltiness comes from a realization that the tides are turning. My best man is a hawk who went to school at NU. We have a group text of 5 skers and him and he was a bit put off that we all shrugged off this year and immediately said we are coming in 2019. He wanted some validation/acknowledgment for the last 4 years and not to move on so fast. He wouldn't admit it but I know he is trying to hold on while he can.

Sure is nice to have a past to be obsessed with.

I think top 15 is doable, but need 9-10+ wins next year to get there. This year will be more diamonds in the rough and a few high rated guys. I think 20-23ish is where this class will settle.

At WR I hope we are seeing contributions from McQuitty and Miles Jones. Warner has shown some ability as a possession guy too. OL-wise, I hope Raridon steps up at LG or sliding to C. A guy like Wandale could get meaningful snaps as a true freshman if he has a change of heart though.

Chinander just completed his 3rd season as a coordinator. Twice inheriting awful teams with bad tendencies, full of the last guys recruits for a different scheme. The guys here at NU have had 4 different D coordinators in 5 years, depending on how long they've been in school. That means learning 2/3/4 new schemes while adjusting to new coaches. You don't think the kids at UCF recieved positive habits from this coaching staff they are carrying over this year after they took them from 0-12 to 13-0? It would be nice to inherit a 13-0 crew rather than a 116th ranked 4-8 crew. How about you just calm the heck down give him a couple years to recruit and develop?

The guys are getting beat, plain and simple. Amazing how you blame the coach for the d line getting blown off the ball.

They are better than Michigan State, but let's not act like they are a top 10 offense here. They rank #79 in total O. The defense sets up their offense as other posters have noted, so the key will be to not turn the ball over, and to have some success on offense ourselves. If JD plays, and is healthy, I expect that to happen.
