Nebraska beat Texas last year. No we didnt beat Texas + the 4 Texas referees, but we did beat Texas
Every time Texas scored, they had aid from the referees. Their very first touchdown, the drive got sustained by a poor call. Eric Hagg did not lay a finger on a Texas receiver, yet a flag was thrown b/c he didnt look back at the ball. If you're going to get that picky with the rules, u have to call Texas' o-line for holding 2, yet not 1 holding call the entire game. Later in that drive, Colt McCoy was given a touchdown yet the replay shows indisputable evidence that his knee was down before the ball crossed the plane.
Texas' second field goal was sustained by another poor call call which wouldve forced them to punt. PI (maybe it wasnt PI, but it was some BS call) was called on a ball thrown 20 yards out of bounds.
The horsecallar called on Larry Asante was questionable at best. Finally, the extra second put back on the clock. #1 Big XII rules specifically prohibit reviews of the game clock. #2 indisputable evidence is required to overturn a call. The referees were unable to review the OFFICIAL game clock, so they reviewed the ABC Superimposed clock. There is no indisputable evidence that the ABC superimposed clock was in sync with the official game clock.
Also, on the final field goal, Suh was flat out tackled by the Texas O-line, yet no holding call. But they'll call petty penalties on Nebraska like the 1 called on Hagg for not looking back even though he didnt lay a finger on Texas' receiver. The officiating was not unbiased, Texas was shown blatant favoritism. All 4 referees were natives of Texas, the head official was a graduate of UT.
