  5. Nebraska beat Texas last year. No we didnt beat Texas + the 4 Texas referees, but we did beat Texas Every time Texas scored, they had aid from the referees. Their very first touchdown, the drive got sustained by a poor call. Eric Hagg did not lay a finger on a Texas receiver, yet a flag was thrown b/c he didnt look back at the ball. If you're going to get that picky with the rules, u have to call Texas' o-line for holding 2, yet not 1 holding call the entire game. Later in that drive, Colt McCoy was given a touchdown yet the replay shows indisputable evidence that his knee was down before the ball crossed the plane. Texas' second field goal was sustained by another poor call call which wouldve forced them to punt. PI (maybe it wasnt PI, but it was some BS call) was called on a ball thrown 20 yards out of bounds. The horsecallar called on Larry Asante was questionable at best. Finally, the extra second put back on the clock. #1 Big XII rules specifically prohibit reviews of the game clock. #2 indisputable evidence is required to overturn a call. The referees were unable to review the OFFICIAL game clock, so they reviewed the ABC Superimposed clock. There is no indisputable evidence that the ABC superimposed clock was in sync with the official game clock. Also, on the final field goal, Suh was flat out tackled by the Texas O-line, yet no holding call. But they'll call petty penalties on Nebraska like the 1 called on Hagg for not looking back even though he didnt lay a finger on Texas' receiver. The officiating was not unbiased, Texas was shown blatant favoritism. All 4 referees were natives of Texas, the head official was a graduate of UT.

First I get my name in the phone book and now I'm on your ass. You know, I'll bet more people see that than the phone book.

  7. Wow Va Husker Fan, I bow to you. I just completed my first 1/2 marathon. I loved and I did well, but I wll not be doing a full marathon. I am still proud and look forward to my 1/2. In my youth I was the Nebraska qualifer for the National Hersey's Track meet in the 200. I was an anchor of our state record breaking relay team. I was on two softball teams that made to the semi finals in two consectutive years. One of the those we went to the finals and lost. I also was the Nebraska state barrel racing champion, and the mid states rodeo rookie of the year when I was 18. That is if you consider equine events sports
  8. Plus, if you don't want bad press from whatever Sanders or Glenn or anyone else did...avoid those problems, don't just choose to not address them. I second this, both post. I am not complaining so much about the lack of information shared, but the Bo's attitiude toward the media and fans. Of course I'll forgive him in exchange for a few big wins this next season. Seriously, its time to win some big games. TO was too nice, Bo is too grumpy and all I say is win baby!
  9. At least Nicholas Cage has Raising Arizona. The award for being in the most stupid movies has to be Ashton Kutcher.
  10. I didn't care for Grand Torino. I mean, it was watchable, but kind of predictable. I did not see Taken. Let me say I am a movie snob. I can't stand senseless action, just for action. Same for blood. I am more partial to crafty orginal movies that are almost always are foreign films. I also hate noisy films and ones that try to pull the emotions out of you. That was where I had the problem with Million Dollar Baby. It was just too emotional with the broken neck and all, but I loved it up to there. Every year my hubby and I try to watch all the oscar nominated films. This year we did not get to see them all because they expended the movies from 5-10. So far to date and IMO, The King's Speech is worthy. It is simply awesome. Winter's Bone was very good, but not really an Oscar type movie. Inception was just ok. The Town was a very good movie, and not normally one that I would like-but I did. We are watching Social Network tomorrow. Hopefully we will get to 127 hours and Black Swan this week. Oh yeah, True Grit was very, very good. Just ran into the wrong year with being in the field with the King's Speech. If you have Netflix, get Once. It is my alltime favorite come out of nowhere movie. Also Tshotsi. Yes, it's in subtitles, but you forget about that in about two minutes.
  11. I don't think this is an overreaction. I was pretty surprised they canceled it this year. The Big 10 move can't be why. Although I don't completely disagree with this assesment, the cancellation might be because of something as simple as not having enough registered participants. I mean, it takes money to put these things on, and there have to be other sponsors that participate. If they haven't recieved the support from the community it might have been a case of not being able to raise the money that they would like. 2010 they had 900 participants at $95 dollars a piece for one day. You do the math, that is a pretty good fundraiser. and Bill Callahan does not own football 101, nearly every univeristy has the same fundraiser called the same thing. I hate to say it, but there is some smoke here. Especially since they refunded money to registrants
  12. I completely agree, although you are likely to get some heat for it. It was a hugh deal and raised alot of money I am sadden that he has choosen to take a "hiatus". He seems fine with just giving him so dough though, which really is an insult to his entire foundation.
  13. Shawn Watson don't go away mad, Just, just go away
  14. Just finished my first 1/2 marathon in the Big Easy. It was wonderfully aweful.

      Roark

New Orleans is a city that is awe-inspiring... Hey, remember when the Saints were awful?

  15. I think people are just frustrated that it wasn't a big "Wow!" hire. Its a solid staff but inexperienced. This staff isn't built for the short run. That was the mistake Bo made when he was hired. This is a spot on analysis
  16. Two things. Is it normal for a head coach to secure a position for a soon to be ex-coach ? ALso, I don't see that Cotton's going anywhere.
  17. x 1,000 Maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything on here about doing anything to Watso's family. Calm down, nobody is organizing a lench mob..................................................Yet! Yea, you missed something. Attacking the man's job performance is rite of fandome, purposefully researching the man's address is stalking. Looking up someones address will not hold up in a court of law as "stalking" There are a few more things that have to go along with that. So I still don't see anything I missed. The thing your missing is maturity.

  19. Unfortunately it sounds like it, nobody has said anything about him leaving other than the fans. As unfortunate as it is, Barney is like the slow kid on our staff... I guess for now we're content to let him stay, and on the whole, just leave him alone to do as he pleases. This is unfortunate for Coach Cotton, who secretly yearns to spend more of his time coloring and watching Arthur. don't forget play-doh and playing army guys. Just read Sipple's Sunday article, where he mentions that there may be co-offensive line coaches. More time for those army men.
