I sure have ... it's just my perception that we need bodies at the DT position, regardless of who we have and who we bring in ... and I feel real good about the WR spot. It's a compliment to James believe me ... with a highlight to the need on our team being greater at DT.

I give kudos to the staff regardless of how if all falls. The DT situation has been very frustrating for sure. I feel good about Newby (assurance felt from others opinions), I think I'm puffin' the majic dragon over my want of Willis. I don't see this kid signing with us. We get Newby ... and I'm pleased. Didn't get everyone I wanted or thought we should get ... but it wasn't for lack of effort. I think if we would have won the UCLA game we would have had another nice OL kid and I think the Wisconsin loss hurt us a bit, although I can't/won't direct that towards any one player.

HuskerShark, I'd actually change the and put in an "Insert Truth" emoticon. I believe that to be truth! I say we try to lock up this guy ... then trade him to Florida for a **** star DT like Darious Cummings or Caleb Brantley . :-)

Apart from Taylor's fumble/turnover issues ... he could have been among the top for me. As kchusker_chris said, "I just can't put the FBS leader in fumbles for 3 straight seasons on the same page as some of these guys." Disappointed to see that many for his Junior season ... his last season should be his best ... just wished he would have figured it all out a year sooner.

Agreed aspeedlin. In addition, our Huskers seem to recruit the Kansas City market the best. I think we should do a better job of recruiting the St. Louis market. Mizzou trumps us there and if you follow recruiting from that area you will Illinois and Notre Dame snag players from that market. With it's distance from us and those two schools in play, along with Mizzou ... I think we would bode well in a head to head in a lot of cases.

One thing I've noticed as I have followed recruiting ... stars don't matter when you get a player that has few stars ... and when you get the player with stars ... that is all that matters. :-)

I think he a lean to us ... we want him ... he is committed to us. I am counting him ! We want you Da ! Counting on you to contribute!

Enjoyed this latest video. Knevel seems like a Nebraska kid at heart. He seems like a grounded kid ... but with his hockey background I'm sure he not only has a mean streak ... but has the tempermant to know when to use this. I see great leadership qualities in this kid and a sense of gratefulness from those he knows he can learn from. Can't wait to see his progress and impact both on and off the field.

Sorry to hear that C N Red. Message me bro if you like on anything think I'm negative on. I'll interact with you. I've been more of a "realist" this year I would say. In past years I think I've been more of a "wearing red colored glasses" kind of fan. I have not posted much this year ... especially when all the negative posters come out. Have not posted much at all on recruiting ... I'm liking our class.

Having Stanton leveraged this one big time Mark. Also, loooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvesssssssss Lincoln. Ya, it's stuff like that that I think will be fascinating to find out. We tend to see things so "RED" that we don't understand why a recruit won't choose us. I like this kid so much ... and he is rated so high ... that if we get him I'm real curious to hear the "why" ... maybe we can learn a few things that we can apply the next time we go up against UCLA. I was real high on a OL recruit that we lost out on to UCLA earlier when we lost to UCLA. At the time we seemed to be in the lead for his services and then the week after that game he committed to UCLA. We just seem to have to hit all cylinders on these top tier recruits to get them. Other programs have advantages we never will have. Nail this kid down with an please!!

In the highest class in florida he was good enough to be voted first team by people that saw him play!!! Crazy how this always seems to happen when we recruit guys that the uninformed call reaches....bam a few days later the kid is named all state in the highest class in Florida. But hey, hes just a 2 star. Now watch Miami or Florida offer and steal him. If this doesnt prove the coaches know talent and can turn over all the rocks to find the gems, i dont know what does. Well see in 3 years how he ends up doing. Just an FYI, this kid popped up on HuskerBoard on January 3, at around 4:24 in the afternoon. So, this kid is pretty new to everyone on this board. If I understand correctly, post #13, even you state in a post (that I agree with and +1 your rating) ... that "Other more recent reaches include Avery Moss" ... to which you imply that this kid is a reach. So now, I'm "bumping" your post for the kudos of getting a kid that two days ago ... none of us knew about ... and that also includes you if I understand correctly. It would really suck if he does get stolen from us by a Florida school. Hopefully he is impressed with what our staff sees in him and we can snatch a gem here.

I was just saying that I'm very interested to here "why" he was committing to us. We seem to lose so many recruits to UCLA and I want to know what pushed us over the edge. Especially since it seems UCLA has some good things happening in their program and recruits on the OL. This has nothing to do with being "unhappy". Why would you even go there CNRed? Yes, the "ignorant" comment is directed toward someone like HuskerFowler ... who seems to think that he is the guru or that others like me are "ignorant". I can promise you this ... as a member for I think 7-8 years, and on this board for 8-9 years ... I am not a troll. I just think that if recruiting is such a "guessing game" ... as someone like HuskerFowler seems to admit ... that someone as ignorant as me can ask questions or be real in wondering why we are taking a particular player.
