  1. According Callahan CT returning is not happening.
  2. Not in the least bit surprising. I'd also expect Chubba Purdy to enter the portal if/when McCord/Raiola commit. Our likely QB room next year will be KM -> DR -> HH. Not taking a HS QB last year was maybe not the best choice.
  3. I was wondering if something along those lines could be in the works. A trifecta with a two 5* QB's & new QB incoming potentially.
  4. I predicted 5-7 before the season started so I guess they matched my expectations just exactly perfectly. But when they were 5-3 with all four of the remaining games very winnable and three of those teams were on extended losing streaks when we played them I expected them to be able to win at least one more. But per usual, they found ways to lose every one of them. Guess I should have expected that though. For that reason my final overall grade is a D.
  5. Not a bad senior season for such a slow poke. /s
  6. Can't say as I blame him. He's picked to the be the 1st or 2nd punter taken in the 2024 draft and will probably make north of $1M. Big loss for Iowa since in the games I've watched he had the most impact of any player on their team. We don't want to get into a punting dual with him on black Friday but in looking at both offenses and defenses it seems inevitable (unless we continue our turnover festival which greatly reduces the need for punts).
  7. Consider it a blessing. Honestly, there are a lot of better things to be doing in Breckenridge than sitting in bar watching a football game.
  8. In the event anyone can't afford the 7 day free trail offer from Peacock and misses the game it is scheduled to be on B1G Footbal in 60, Sunday Nov. 12 @ 1:00pm.
  9. Not expecting it but it sure would be nice if we could get up big on MSU early so they don't feel the need to press the walking wounded back into action. I'm sure we'll be needing them in the last 3 games.
  10. If it were just for this game I'd probably pass but I've been thinking about signing up for Peacock anyway to watch the FIS alpine skiing which I enjoy. So I'll watch the game then there the full slate of FIS events the rest of Nov and early Dec. I can watch to see if I want to continue.
  11. The Iowa-NU O/U number probably won't be far off this. Two inept offenses agains two very good defenses.
  12. Agreed. I just posted something similar in another thread before seeing this. Don't like what he's done of the field but can't complain about his character during what must be a very difficult time for him. I'm sure he hates what has transpired on the field more than anybody.
  13. From what I've heard from the people that cover Husker FB he is currently the highest paid NIL player in Lincoln. So yeah, I see no he is here next year. And as much as I like the way HH has come in and lead the team I really hope we can get an upgrade at QB for next season. If the ball bounces just a little differently on few plays HH wouldn't be all that far behind Sims in turnovers. As bad as it has been for Sims I do have to give the kid credit for remaining bought-in and supporting the HH and team. It would have easy for him to withdraw and sit on the bench sulking but everything I've heard says he has been encouraging and helpful.
  14. New bag policy implemented a couple of weeks ago probably puts an end to that unless they just ignore these rules. https://huskers.com/clearbag
  15. I wonder if it has something to do with accommodating the new B1G schedule? I'd guess it will be the ULM game on Oct. 18th that will be going away.
  16. Well, you get my vote for most deplorable post of the year. How much more pathetic could you be celebrating our players season/career ending injuries.
  17. Their punter, Tory Taylor, is a true weapon we'll probably see playing on Sunday. Not a kicker you want to get into a field position battle with trading punts after 3 and outs. He's averaging 48.6 yd/punt with 18 downed inside the 20 and only 1 touchback all season. If they had even an average offense to go with their D and ST they'd be a very scary team.
  18. And yet they are 6-1 and ranked #112 in scoring offense while DONU is 3-3 & #120. Hmm
  19. I reconfirmed my 2nd favorite college team to watch is Air Force. Watching a Falcon game is like getting in a time machine and going back 30 years to the TO era at NU. And I'd take watching a well run option game over an air raid offense every time. There aren't many that run it any more and Air Force is about the only one that executes like it should be run. Plus, it's refreshing to watch a highly disciplined team that has very few penalties and doesn't shoot themselves in the foot multiple times a game.
  20. Haha. So our #120 scoring offense is going to "hang 50" on their #10 scoring defense? K I'll be happy if can manage a one point win. Looking at both offenses and defenses the O/U is probably going to be in the 30's.
  21. Another name to add to our growing list Raiola ❌ McGuire ❌ Satterfield ❌ Foley ❌ /s
