  1. I've read he will be eligible to enroll in Dec. and will have 2 years of eligibility left.
  2. It is Mile High Stadium still. While you might trade a home game the NU athletic dept. sure as hell won't. The #1 requirement for scheduling is to get 7 home games every year. It is imperative financially. And with the 9 game conf. schedule they only get 4 home conf. games every other year which makes scheduling difficult since they must play all 3 non-conf. games at home in those years.
  3. I was just going to post that. Interesting there are discussions of a make-up game on week #14 if either team needs it to be bowl eligible.
  4. I think it makes these next two games must wins. While I was expecting to win the first three games, losing one was not beyond the realm of possibility. Assuming we don't add another game we will need to go 4-5 in B1G play to become bowl eligible if we beat CU & Troy. If, heaven forbid, we drop one of those two games we would need need to go 5-4 in B1G play. With our schedule that will be a lot harder than going 4-5.
  5. I see NU opens as a 5 point favorite over CU. Interesting.
  6. This game scares me for a season/career opener considering the wholesale changes the team has gone through and no real game experience. And as bad as CSU looked, CU did look good and took advantage of the opportunity. I'm not a gambler but will be interested in the opening line on this game. It has to be a tough one for the odds makers to pick.
  7. I think this is the most likely outcome.
  8. Negative experience for visiting recruits.
  9. Yes. Not having a game for our freshman QB and other young players on the team along with running totally new systems on offense, defense and STs is rather worrisome to me. I've always heard your biggest improvement is between the 1st & 2nd games. Plus CU looked pretty good against a dreadful CSU team. I'm curious about what the betting line will be for the CU game. Could we be the dogs? It wouldn't surprise me.
  10. I guessing there is no way the NCAA would give them a rain check because of weather. The kids are here and get the full visit regardless of having a game or not. Sucks since we lose what would probably have been a win and may be the difference of being bowl eligible or not and the kids here for the game get to sit around and watch it rain instead. Can only imagine their visit was a huge disappointment.
  11. I read Nebraska declined the 10:30am start time.
  12. Looking at the radar I'd be surprised if this game gets finished tonight. I'm guessing if it gets cancelled it will not be made up since the two teams bye weeks don't fall on the same weekend. Sucks since we might need another win to become bowl eligible. Since it is a long weekend I suppose they could finish it tomorrow but I'm not sure how that would work.
  13. Great news. Outstanding offer list in probably the #1 position of need.
  14. Good. Maybe we can put this behind us now and move on to the game which is in 3 days.
  15. I've mentioned Cam Taylor in another thread but in thinking about it would almost have to be someone who is currently on offense IMHO. To expect someone from the D to come in and be able to function at even a rudimentary level in this offense is insane. Hopefully we don't need a 4th stringer but if we do I wonder if any offensive players have ever played QB?
  16. Run fake, pass to TE who releases from block to the right flat for a two point conversion after our D scores on a pick six on Akron's opening possession.
  17. Well this development stinks. I figured he might be gone at the end of the year if he didn't see much playing time but didn't see this coming now. This seems to be the norm in college football anymore and with him being recruited to play in a pro style offense it's probably in his best interest to go somewhere the runs a drop back passing attack. Still leaves us in bind with one scholly QB on the roster. Hope AM shines and is able to stay healthy all year. I guessing Frost is going to be very aware of this and adjust the game plansto not place any unnecessary risk on AM. You can't call the game scared but you have to be aware there are only walk-on's behind him. I wonder who would be 4th string? I think Cam Taylor played QB in HS although that would be ton to put on a freshman who is now your 2nd string CB.
  18. McKenzie Milton is listed @ 5' 11" & 185# and he seemed to get by OK last year in HCSF's offense so I think AM will get by just fine. If AM can even approach that level of efficiency I'll be elated.
  19. Zips - 17 Huskers - 34 Passing - 257 Rushing - 151
  20. Not surprising seeing he has only been on the team for 3 weeks now and the others have had the winter, spring and summer to learn. Guessing he will see situational duty with limited set plays in the beginning of the season and his role will increase as the season progresses and he learns the system.
  21. Hmmmm. Adrian & Stanley seem pretty happy after tonight's practice. I wonder if Adrian got some good news today? I also read Adrian stuck around after practice while TG left the field.
  22. Doesn't look good. It seems like every time I watch one of these HS games on TV with one of our commits they end up with a serious injury. Think I'm going to stop watching.
  23. Perfect fit for Scott Frost's offense. Hope he has a great official visit next week and gets a glimpse of what this offense can achieve even though it is the first game.
