  1. Shortside Option - Grading the Head Coaching Hires
  2. Might as well be using Egyptian hieroglyphics for all I could tell
  3. Makes me feel a lot more confident going into next season. While he might not be the greatest Husker QB of all time he sure looked a lot better than anybody else we had on the team last year. Hope his recovery from shoulder surgery progresses rapidly.
  4. The kid is sharp and has good head on his shoulders. Will do well when he's finished with football.
  5. Dylan Raiola, Top 2024 Quarterback Recruit, Decommits From Ohio State
  6. If you listen to Trev's interviews regarding the coaching search it sure doesn't read that way.
  7. Great addition. If his contribution to NU football is in line with his performance in the HS championship game he's got a great future ahead.
  8. 0 star Joseph Bakhole's visit is reported to have been cancel (by NU).
  9. I like HCMRh or MRh. But might as well type out Rhule. I hate MR since my brain defaults to you know who.
  10. How is CU going to afford all these 4 & 5 stars that will be going to play for Sanders when they don't even have the money at this point to pay his salary? Maybe they are like all of the fans that are so infatuated with Sanders they will forego the 6 figure NIL deals other schools will offer and play for free?
  11. I'll be surprised if coach Sanders is even still their in 4 years.
  12. You might be in for big disappointment if you are expecting a bowl appearance next year. Rhule's combined record for the first years at Temple & Baylor was 3-21. The following years were 44-22. Since these were both ground up rebuilds similar to what NU is going to need I would expect somewhat similar results.
  13. I wonder how that is going to work out for NIL money at CU. I have to assume a school that has next to no fan interest from the students or people in the state isn't exactly rolling in NIL money. Are these top flight players going to come in and play for next to nothing compared to what they could getting elsewhere just for the opportunity to play for Sanders? Maybe some will but I'm guessing most probably won't give up huge paydays for that honor.
  14. Not to worry. The message boards are full of experts who have already done the heavy lifting for you and have fully evaluated him as well as every other coach, analyst and support personnel hired by HCMRh. Unfortunately, you're not going to like their verdict.
  15. Things will change a lot before next Sept. but the way it is looking now I'd be happy with 4 wins for the whole season. 2-2 wouldn't be a bad start.
  16. Going to have to fix the OL before there is any chance of successfully running the ball. We tried it in the 2nd half last Friday and ended up with 20 rushes for 18 net yards. It almost cost us the game.
  17. I was going to post something like this. That was a rotten situation from the very top down to the players and all those in between. This is one man making a very dumb decision that will cost him dearly.
  18. At this point the damage is done regardless of his true innocence/guilt. I don't see that the University has any choice in the matter of retaining or replacing him on the new staff. They certainly can't wait for it to be hashed out in court. And if he is proven guilty I wonder what that nullifies his existing guaranteed contract? Whoever is at fault here he just went from the cusp of being a millionaire to a being in a world of hurt.
  19. Well, I guess the suspense of him coaching or not is over now. Welcome coach Peetz. This has to be the most bizarre twist I've ever heard about during a coaching changeover.
  20. No doubt. But it must still be enough that his hiring is dependent on if MJ was retained or not. This is due to the salary pool issues according to what Sipple & Callahan are reporting.
