  1. In the heat of the moment it’s hard to believe, but we definitely are heading in the right direction. It’s good to see these stats. Thanks for posting!
  2. Ouch. Granted that was only a handful of plays, but it certainly illustrates how important perimeter blocking is and how lack of it can make the QB or play caller look bad.
  3. Alright posters in the know. I have an honest question. What exactly does “not buying in” entail when it comes to a starter or major contributor? Not practicing hard? bad attitude? calling the coaches names? Seriously. Why would they be getting playing time if they were somehow holding back the teams culture growth? For now, I’m calling B.S. when it comes JD (or Domann) “not buying in”.
  4. This kid is going to bring the program to another level.
  5. I just watched his post game interview and he certainly didn't hide his frustration. Especially with that last pass play that set up Iowa's FG. I'd say it was pretty fitting once again watching the ILB responsible for the coverage trailing about 5 yards behind with his guy wide open.
  6. The offense did suck more and ST even more than the O, but I could bag on the coaches starting two ILBs and a certain OLB til the cows come home.
  7. If Domann leaves, I'D rather piss on some D coaches. Clearly he was our best tackler and IMO best overall defender. In fact, the only other time I saw other LB's make good textbook tackles was at the end of the Maryland game when Johnson and Reimer were in there.
  8. One certainly couldn't blame him for his frustrations. He has been my favorite player this season by a long shot. Heck I'd be frustrated too if I were in his shoes, based on who the coaches were starting at certain positions that clearly were holding the team back. Meanwhile he's busting his a$$ and the D is still getting exposed. That's why I maintain my "addition by subtraction" prediction for next years D. There are some who had NO business starting and playing as much as they did. Put that on the coaches.
  9. This is really bad if true. You would naturally wonder why. Loss of confidence in coaches? Want's to get closer to family? He was one of the few defenders I would trust on open-field tackles.
  10. Yes, but I remember something about Dewitt changing it to heels on the 8 about mid season to prevent downing near the goal. But still.....that’s been an issue.
  11. From my vantage point in the East Stadium Mills appeared to be getting worn out at times late in the game. He certainly was giving it his all out there.
  12. This and better linebacker play, which I think we’ll see, will do wonders for Chin’s defense.
  13. A lot of good points here. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I’ve not heard anything on the Milton thing.
  14. Both ain’t happening. Frost is smarter than that.
  15. To be fair I think AM’s regression caught Frost by surprise too. By the time it was evident AM wasn’t going to snap out of it, it may have been too late in Frost’s judgment to pull Luke’s redshirt. It’s a tough call to make. I am, however glad we have four more years of McCaffrey. I think he is going to do some special things.
  16. Correct. Not exclusively, but it’s there. Always has been. Always will be. It’s an avenue to vent frustration and get a sense of what others feel. And hopefully add some helpful insight. Surely many posters are lacking in the latter. I just ignore them like I do with supporters of a certain president.
  17. Good stats. Thanks for posting. I would say the defense as a whole did improve even if it wasn’t drastic. I’m betting we see an improvement next year as well.
  18. Exactly. However this is 100% coaching, or lack there of, on special teams.
  19. Something indeed is wrong. I don’t buy the “not fully healthy “ facade we’ve been hearing unless they’re talking about between his ears. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I would point to two possibilities: 1. Duval bulked him up too much. At an offseason function heard Duval talking about how AM squats 500lb. Anyone with eyes can see AM is noticeably slower than last year and lost that impressive burst he had. The QB doesn’t need tree trunks for legs. Get him back to 210 or so and get that speed back. It was one of his best assets and is what made him so dangerous. 2. Verduzco overcomplicated things and screwed up his mechanics and decision making. Some players you just need to let play and don’t need to take a 700 question test about every scenario. Because clearly AM has shown indecisiveness this season that wasn’t as evident in 2018. I don’t know how you fix this one. Just don’t repeat with the next guy I suppose. Natural abilities and instincts are better than a Ph.D. In quarterbacking theory. Who knows what it really was, but these are my suspicions.
  20. Isn’t that what message boards are for?
  21. Maybe there's hope for the GOP after all. https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-for-the-rule-of-law-trump-hiding-ad-074743515.html
  22. I'm pretty sure Frost calls all of the offensive plays.
