  1. Jesus Time will tell on Frost's assistants. But i guaran-damn-tee you that Scott knows that great teams are built on the lines, and evidence of that is in his recruiting classes... I think criticism is healthy when done properly, but at least be reasonable...
  2. soooooo you'd prefer not to have Spencer Long, Brandon Reilly, Andy Janovich, Eli Sullivan, etc on the team?
  3. Riley in year 2 had a team full of experienced and quality multi year starters that Bo left behind. That had nothing to do with Mike Riley... Comparatively, Frost in year 2 is stuck with a team full of Riley recruits as upper classmen who have no idea how to win, have terrible habits, and pretty much didn't have a strength program for the first 3 years of their career. Meanwhile, all the best players on the team, with exception of JD, are 1st or 2nd year players that Frost & co recruited. So to break it down more simply, signs of regression vs signs of progression
  4. The fault for that play falls on Miller and Farniok. For sure
  5. If Miller wouldn't have whiffed, he would have picked it up.
  6. You're right, if plays work, the play caller will get a lot of credit, and if they don't, ppl will say that the play call sucked. The reason I'd consider it questionable is because screens have been really poor all year, and we ran another screen earlier in that drive that also didn't work. But at the same time, who knows what play would work - this offense has been wildly inconsistent all year.
  7. I'll add this: as someone who has played a lot of sports and done some coaching as well, I'll tell you that it's a hell of a lot easier to start with a blank slate and coach them to do it your way than it is to coach players who have been coached a certain way, or developed poor habits. A lot of times, they'll do it the right way in practice, but then they'll revert back to their old habits during games.
  8. And aside from purely points, I'd be more interested in the differential of points from each opponents' average points scored over the season. Just scores don't tell the whole story.
  9. Not bad. Then take into account how many of those 20 4-star players are 18 or 19 yr olds, while most other teams' higher rated players are upper-classmen... There's no doubt in my mind we will be better as those young studs develop, while Frost & Co continue to bring in impressive talents like those guys
  10. Not sure if such a thing exists, but I'd love to see an adjusted recruiting rankings taking attrition into account. My bet would be that after you account for the massive amounts of attrition that we've had the past 3-5 classes, our recruiting "ranking" would be pretty damn poor...
  11. Ppl having ad issues on mobile must have iPhones LOL. No issues with mine...

I'm on Galaxy S10 most of the time and have had very little issues.

  12. UCLA up 21-10 on Stanford early in the 3rd and driving... man, Stanford just isn't very good this year. Is this the year David Shaw jumps to the NFL?
  13. I thought Vedral played well enough for us to win. Pretty much every other part of the team was a different story. I just think more than anything, Vedral playing ought to take heat off AM because people could hopefully see the same crap happened no matter who was in at QB. But hey, the snaps were better. So hopefully that continues
  14. Well I mean... If their choice is Nebraska or Nebraska, I feel pretty good about it
  15. If we could somehow close the year strong again with only a loss to Wisconsin (hopefully not badly), the vibes and momentum going into next year will be at an all time high
  16. The lack of a consistent running game has killed this offense. When we're constantly in 3rd and 7+, it's going to be incredibly difficult to convert and keep the drive going
  17. PJ Fleck said in the post game that they felt if they could get our DL moving sideways, then our LBs wouldn't fit their gaps right. Boy did that turn out to be right, and lack of instincts in our LBs is the glaring weakness of our D
  18. It's my impression that we have some talented freshmen who could play now, but Frost is really trying to save their redshirt. I'd bet that we see a flurry of young guys, especially on defense
  19. I've always thought that Oregon has some of the best looking cheerleaders (probably the creepiest emoji ever LOL)
  20. And this isn't an excuse but just an observation - our teams for years have slipped all over the field in wintry conditions, and in Minneapolis was the worst I've ever seen. Yet minny didn't look like they slipped much at all... Do Adidas cleats suck that bad?...
  21. If I were Chryst, I'd come out in the hippo package and run it down Neb's throat until they stop it (which isn't likely). They might never have to pass
  22. I'll have to watch some of it again, but i saw a lot of Alex Davis out there. He's played really poorly in the last few games
  23. My pre season worries about our lack of depth and quality at RB have come to fruition as well. Let's just hope that Martinez and Robinson are ok, or a so-so season may turn into another disaster
