  1. Every person is different, and a lot of that is predicated on where a person's ancestors lived and what their diets looked like, as our guts adapted to whatever our ancestors ate 1000s of years ago. However, I consult with lots of people trying the keto diet that say the same things regarding bowel movements and lack of energy, and with most people, it's just simple tweaks to what they're eating that solve these issues. Like I said, I've been LCHF (not exactly keto, just more carnivore with meat as the primary food) for about 8 months. My bowels are extremely regular, and I've got 10x as much energy as I did eating carbs all the time, and no dips in energy throughout the day unless I'm REALLY lacking sleep.
  2. What type of side effects did you experience?
  3. It can make your breath smell terrible for sure.
  4. One thing to note on keto as i see people are noting weight loss early on. Most of this is just excess water weight that your body flushes out from having less glucose. Some ppl use this as a point to discredit keto - I'm simply stating it as matter of fact. This is my third time doing keto. Tried it the first time a little over 2 years ago. Did it for about 3 months and lost close to 30 pounds. (240 to 210). This time i convinced my wife to do keto with me and she's all about it. So we've been LCHF for 8 months now almost and we couldn't feel better. Anymore I'd classify my diet more as carnivore (meat and greens only) than keto, but i have many of the same results. As of now, i haven't been doing it for weight loss - more for overall health and weeding out highly inflammatory foods completely. I do a refeed once every 2-4 weeks which for me means I'll hit the mandarin buffet by my business and eat whatever the hell i want for one meal every 2-4 weeks. If you're trying to lose weight, I'd recommend not doing a refeed any more often than every 3-4 weeks. Main benefits that i like aside from aiding in weight loss: 1) mental focus - brain runs very efficiently on ketone bodies 2) no dips in energy thru the day - since i don't pound my gut with carbs like most ppl, i don't get the constant insulin spikes and subsequent lulls in energy 1-2 hours later like i used to on traditional diet 3) less bloating and inflammation - my body just feels better in general Additional info: Personal opinion - much of the dogma around red meat is mainly garbage. Eat steak, it's good for you. My net carbs (total carbs minus fiber) almost never exceed 25g unless I'm refeeding. I never liked seafood either until i tried the salmon fillets from Costco. If you haven't tried that, you should with steamed broccoli. Put it on a pan, sprinkle salt and pepper on it, and broil at 550 for 8 minutes, and it's insanely good. Another good idea when eating LCHF diet is to increase your sodium intake. I over salt all my foods. The reason is, i like to play basketball, and I'll cramp if i don't overload the salt to help with hydration. I don't know everything, but I'm happy to help anybody that needs info on keto or carnivore diet.
  5. Glad I decided to start Jimmy Graham in my fantasy league
  6. Honest question: Should a girl who has a video of herself performing sexual acts as a minor be charged with possession of child porn?
  7. And if the case ends up getting dismissed, he'd have to sit out the whole year for.... What reason?
  8. And as usual, the people with the strongest opinions are the ones that know the least about the situation...
  9. Just giving my assessment of him as a QB. I didn't say he was garbage - just that he's not a top QB in the nation as being nominated for those awards would suggest... You're obviously welcome to disagree
  10. I don't disagree that he's a quality QB, but there's a reason he lost his job to Tua in the first place - because he was ineffective as a passer and limited the Bama offense's production against better defenses. Awards many times are given to players on the best teams, not necessarily the best players in the country - as was the case with Jalen.
  11. We will see how Hurts does against better defenses this year (doubt he'll face an elite one until the playoff), but Lincoln Riley deserves a TON of credit as a QB guru. I thought Hurts struggled throughout his entire career throwing the ball at Bama, and he was just lights out vs Houston.
  12. Abdullah was on the smaller side, but he ran between the tackles pretty damn well and had enough strength (due to his weight room work ethic) to break tackles and fall forward when tackled
  13. Huskers - 45 Buffs - 23 Rush - 330 Pass - 214
  14. Truly elite RBs would have a mixture of everything - Speed, agility, power, shiftiness. (Ameer Abdullah) If I were to have to choose between the different types, it would really depend on the type of offense I'm running. If it's a spread like what we run now, I'll choose small shifty RBs all day. Get them into open space and make guys miss. If it's a pro style offense, I'll take a strong bulldozer for RB. They can carry 25-30 times in a game and hold up. My unsolicited 2 cents...
  15. Different players, different situations, different opponents, and most of all - different mental hurdles. Do people remember what this program was like when Frost got here?! Damn, there's very little reasonable amount of patience going on right now. If any thing, I'm more encouraged because of the aggressiveness of the defense and vast improvement on special teams. The offense will be fine. Shoot, last year if the defense could have made 2-3 more stops a game on 3rd and long, we would have won 8 games.
  16. 1) Presumption of innocence is a foundation of our legal system for good reason 2) As others have said, the actual situation of what happened is far less serious than what should be a felony (not saying it wasn't a mistake by Mo) 3) You don't believe that coaches should show their players grace when they do wrong?
  17. One of the main issues i saw was Mills missing the hole several times. Hopefully he improves in that regard, but there were a few carries early on where he had a hole but ran into the pack instead
  18. Thought I'd chime in with a long, well thought out, detailed assessment of what think about the offense: We will be fine. Hope that helps
  19. Not sure why everyone overreacts LOL. Everything going on right now is coachable
  20. And it also includes unlimited recordings. So i literally set every single college football game to record :D
  21. I've had YouTubeTV for about 8 months I believe and it's fantastic. You get all the sports channels you need: ESPN, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, FS1, FS2, BTN, SECN, CBSSN, NBCSN, etc. for $49.99/mo If there's ever a game on an alternate network hosted by ESPN such as last night's Clemson game on ACCN (not on YT), you can use your YouTubeTV credentials on the WatchESPN app on roku, smarttv, etc to authenticate and get access to anything. Hope that helps.
  22. If Minn doesn't play a lot better, they're about to get slaughtered in Fresno next week.
