  1. I dont agree. As thankful as some are that Scott didn't let his ego get in the way of firing coaches, I am equally thankful that he didnt let people's opinions of him get in the way of what he believes is true. Our defense was not the problem, in fact they improved. Our problem was QB and offense in general. This Chinander sucks stuff is rediculous considering the same people who claim this, fail to admit Adrian was the Anti-Borrow for lack of a better term.
  2. Not sure where your coming from here? What is wrong with his tweet?
  3. I think he means his supposed decision to list 1 memorial stadium as his address and then put no homosexuality allowed....or something like that. I could be wrong though. While i will say Brown crossed the line if he did this, i also dont think this is a big deal. I mean people have the right to believe homosexuality is wrong. Even if Brown did this, its not a huge blunder on his character in my opinion. It is a mistake to list the address of NU's stadium, certainly. And i understand that if you are born that way, it is wrong to be judged for it. At the same time it is wrong in the same way someone who is an alcoholic is wrong, and i have been there. So im just as guilty. Noone is perfect, so hate against homosexuals is very wrong, but standing against it is the same as standing against a drunk, which many people do without judgement. Brown's mistake was listing his address as Memorial. While clearly wrong on Brown's part, not anything worse than anyone else has done. Screams emotional response.
  4. Mickey is the best possible OC at the moment. Period. He is the only one that played on Nebraska in our Glory days. How do you not get this?? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that any Husker from 1980-1997 OBVIOUSLY has greatness in his blood, in his SOUL. Grant Wistrom was my pick for Receiver Coach, but according to my sources, the knuckleheads at NU never even contacted him! I mean WTF. Ah...i digress......Mickey has clearly proven his greatness being WR coach for the past 3 years because he had 1 year where his team won the Championship with the best QB season possibly ever recorded, and possibly the most talented receiving group ever, whom im sure he recruited in his 2 seasons prior. But look....i am from Nebraska, so people will call me biased...smh.
  5. Just heard from trusted sources its Lubick. Let me confirm with my sources. Edit: its Lubick
  6. Why is your tongue out? And why your tip haveth such frost?
  7. I have known about Walters leaving for ages, or so it seems. But you gotta respect the process, so i layed low...im in a call at the moment ill let yall know when i know.
  8. I just got off a long conversation with my best 3 sources. Word is Walters is out, we have a new OC and wide receivers coach. Btw, i feel i need to verify my sources, for some reason i feel that noone will trust me. I have several, but # 1 is a guy named Jim Beamer, brother of Frank, the man responsible for "Beamer ball". Also I have a Native American friend from the Res in Cherry County....we will just call him Redman for now, but he has spiritial insight. I also spoke with the always trustworthy Mary J. Blige. Yes she is a singer but what many of you dont know is she also has connections to the football program at NU. Anyways, Word is Walters is out. I will get back to you on the replacement. Peace and Love.
  9. As usual noone on here knows anything. Let me check my sources and ill get back to you with the truth
  10. My sources tell me we got a new offensice coordinator. I will let you know who when the time is right
  11. Tell me where i went wrong lol. You think LSU was better than Ohio State i take it.
  12. Great post. I agree with most of it. Couple points. -NU 95' would beat this LSU team 8 out of 10 times. That team was more physical than any team in the history of college football, and would impose their will on the lines. -LSU wasn't even the best team this year, so how could they be the greatest of all time. Ohio State was the best team this year, im sorry but they got jobbed along with bad luck against Clemson, and OSU would beat LSU 6 of 10 times. They were both very good. Ohio State was on a different level than Clemson, but lost their 2nd best defender, their best 2 offensive players had leg injuries they were pushing through, and every single thing that could go wrong did. And yet they still should have won. 5 of 10 times OSU BLOWS OUT Clemson. And Clemson had a shot against LSU. -I strongly agree with the example of LSU playing their best QB, even though he was not "their guy". LSU ffinishes 9-3 or so without Burrow. The kid from Ohio...maybe Nebraska would have finished the same with Luke? If Martinez is a different guy im fine with him being our QB, but if he is the same guy (especially mentally) as this past year, how in the hell can we start him? -Lastly, it does not take 10 years. If you do things right, and with a lil luck, it can take as short as 4 or 5 years. Look at Clemson. They were on the level of Nebraska just 3 years before they became the most dominant team in all of college football. It will either take us 3 more years max to be nationally relevant, or it wont ever happen (atleast in the forseeable future) nothing takes 10 years.
  13. Not even on the same level as LP. People make mistakes, i dont have a problem with Mo. But to compare him to LP as a football player is one of the most rediculous things ive ever heard. LP had the same speed and cut as MO but had 10x the power. Literally 10x.
  14. I agree if thats what happened. Had no idea.
  15. I am a believer, and i even think its rediculous to think God decided you would win that game. But from their perspective, i think they are just trying to mention his name to get people to consider their God, in hopes that maybe they will give Him a thought or two, and who knows, maybe it will lead to them finding the truth. So i respect it, but also agree that God doesn't care who wins a sporting event...unless their is a far deeper reason like some fan/player possibly needed the win to keep them alive or maybe a losing fan/player needed it to humble themselves..who knows.
  16. Fair enough. I can understand what you mean. Dabo uses his platform after almost every game to mention Jesus, and so do alot of coaches/players. I can see both sides to it. For one i can see why it could annoy some people cause i really dont think God cares who wins a football game. So in a way it can be a lil rediculous. But i believe Kapernick, Dabo, and others have the right to use their platform however they want. Its just their opinion.
  17. Im not saying i agree with Brown, but then would you also say that it would be wrong if a coach used his position as a platform to support LGBTQ rights? For the record i believe everyone should be loved. And everyone is loved by our maker.
  18. I respect your opinion, but i just find it ironic when someone who believes in people's freedoms (in this case to be in favor of LGBTQ rights), in the same token doesnt want a guy with opposing beliefs to be "in a public" position. It seems very hypocritical. To be fair that would be like Brown saying someone with LGBTQ beliefs shouldnt be in a public position... Edit: probably belongs off topic, just the irony of these types of situations goes beyond your comment to a large portion of people on both sides of issues. I guess human beings are hypocrites, i can be a hypocrite too.
  19. Im wondering the same thing. Let me check my sources and ill get back to you. But if we do lose 3 coaches......Beckton, Dewitt, and Walters would be the 3 I would be ok losing. Not that i want to lose them. Walters is the one i'm least sure of as far as how good he is. I'm no expert on our coaches, i know very little about some of them, and Walters hasn't had much talent to work with (including a QB who can get the receivers the ball, maybe the most important of them all) so you can't really judge Walters yet. That being said he hasn't shown anything worth missing yet. We did pull in a heck of a receiver class this year. Was that Walters?? And if your position coach leaves, can recruits get out of their LOI??
  20. I hope Pola-Gates can get to 100% that would be a big loss.
  21. I dont have any inside info but i think he is just too small. On Huskermax the word is his frame was too small to carry more weight and he came in at 260. He added the necessary weight, and his feet got very slow.
  22. Anyone close to the program have any opinions on which of our young guys will be good? I see Jurgens, Corcoran, and Benhart as being 3 possible all-conference level lineman. We need 3 more, i just dont know much about the other young guys.
  23. Thats a lot of numbers on the DLine. You would think at least a couple of those guys will develop well. We just know so little about our young DLinemen.
