  1. Everyone's at least a little racist. Conservatives get so butthurt about the conversation and liberals get so frothy at the mouth about the conversation because most people treat it like a yes or no thing when it's really like being hungry. Like maybe you aren't right now but a cheeseburger could cut you off on the highway and all the sudden you're pretty hungry I know I'm a little racist because I get a little extra excited if a white receiver catches the ball in the NFL
  2. For the sake of making sure we're dealing with correct info this isn't true, at least not immediately which is what the implication seems to be. Abortions ballooned after Roe V Wade, and have been on a steady downward trajectory for several decades now
  3. The view of this twat tweeting on twitter and those in central NE and everywhere else who actually believe this is really genuinely coocoo for cocoa puffs. Small town chuds with no purpose LARPing as moral virtue freedom fighters, so corny lmao
  4. Okay so is it fair to say that when brought up transgender athletes as an example of "the problems they have real solutions to are not at the forefront of most voters top priorities", that was a pretty terrible example of whatever point you were trying to make? Because that's also not a problem/solution that is at the forefront of the Democrats top platform priorities?
  5. Because the democrats are satanic god-hating groomers trying to steal the soul of America. Literally tens of millions of citizens genuinely believe this.
  6. Don't hold your breath. Most Americans support things like single-payer healthcare and common sense gun control measures, and the GOP doesn't give a s#!t.
  7. So commenting on something is the only basis we have for how high up the list trans women competing in sports is for democratic politicians? That's pretty vague and not really useful. Do you think it's high enough on the list to be a bullet point on anybody's campaign website?
  8. No we don't. Frost is still the coach, and he's not gonna easily let an entire year of dutifully studying coastal carolina's orbit motion option scheme fall completely by the wayside. Our option game last year was dynamic and effective, I doubt it's completely going away.
  9. You said traditional marriage. What year did your idea of traditional marriage start and what does that mean?
  10. What do you mean by a traditional sense of marriage? I get the feeling you're not referring to the traditional sense being grown adult men taking ownership of 14-15 year old women and f#&%ing them to make it count as marriage. Btw, the government isn't getting in the way of peoples bedrooms, threesomes still exist and are legal.
  11. It's absolutely worse overall, but immediately is not worse for the NCAA protecting it's non-profit status and not opening itself up to more lawsuits. But yes, clearly they have kicked the can down the road for too long being too scared and now everything is chaos.
  12. Schools and conferences "can't" do this, because it would require unionizing or a collective bargaining agreement with the players, which would be the nail in the coffin for the idea/imagination/myth of amateurism.
  13. Welp...try and find one person on this board that wouldn't be more than totally fine with that. Cable news is all poisonous trash, even though it's important to understand that it's not all equivalently poisonous trashy trash, some are far worse than others.
  14. How high do you think this issue is for Democrat politicians?
  15. We can all easily understand the difference between this abstract wishful thinking and what we're seeing testified to in regards to an actual plan in place and attempted to be acted upon.
  16. Does that include vindictively and selectively going after private companies for having liberal opinions?
  17. Friendly reminder on the heels of Juneteenth that this exists from one of the most influential evangelical voices of our generation: Oh and then the sequel:
  18. Good for you. Unfortunately, the content of much of MLK's public work is such that if he were an activist alive today the accusations of CRT would be hurled at him nonstop. As far as these speeches, I'd recommend reading Letters from Birmingham Jail, and Beyond Vietnam to start. MLK was a radical activist and was disliked by over 90% of white Americans in the 60's.
  19. Would you have any issues showing your kids these parts of MLK speeches? “I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. We must rapidly begin the shift from a thing-oriented society to a person-oriented society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights, are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, extreme materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered... The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and racism. The problems of racial injustice and economic injustice cannot be solved without a radical redistribution of political and economic power... Again we have deluded ourselves into believing the myth that capitalism grew and prospered out of the Protestant ethic of hard work and sacrifices. Capitalism was built on the exploitation of black slaves and continues to thrive on the exploitation of the poor, both black and white, both here and abroad.” "But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear?...It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." “Whites, it must frankly be said, are not putting in a similar mass effort to reeducate themselves out of their racial ignorance. It is an aspect of their sense of superiority that the white people of America believe they have so little to learn. The reality of substantial investment to assist Negroes into the twentieth century, adjusting to Negro neighbors and genuine school integration, is still a nightmare for all too many white Americans…These are the deepest causes for contemporary abrasions between the races. Loose and easy language about equality, resonant resolutions about brotherhood fall pleasantly on the ear, but for the Negro there is a credibility gap he cannot overlook. He remembers that with each modest advance the white population promptly raises the argument that the Negro has come far enough. Each step forward accents an ever-present tendency to backlash.” "First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection."
  20. Interesting idea but length doesn't mean all that much if it sacrifices mobility. The Warriors win because A. pretty much everyone on that team can drain 3's but also drive the lane with massive success, and B. they play great fundamental unselfish team basketball. If Scottie got switched onto Steph, he'd have to guard him 28 feet out, and if Steph gets around him then somebody's collapsing then somebody's open. Shutting down one player is worthless against the Warriors, you have to play disciplined committed smart team defense. I think it'd be a good series.
  21. Sometimes things are true even though they aren't officially codified. You're smart enough to be able to put pieces together.
  22. It actually did happen, while filming for real in the air though. Definitely a mistake, but it wasn't because it was fake or VFX'd or anything.
  23. Yes. As evidenced by education level voting patterns, and whatever flavor-of-the-month issues to be scared of in education and academia on right-wing media. It's probably similar to what the 'mainstream' media is. That is, to folks inside the right-wing echo chamber, anything that isn't conservative.
