Confidence Level - Final 2 Games - Will we earn a bowl bid?
LennynSquiggy replied to TGHusker's topic in Husker Football
I'm not surprised we lost to MSU considering it was their Senior Day. -
It is a new team with progress being made and it's out there for anyone that cares to see it. The team is still a work in progress and that's ok.
-
What I recall is years to get back to competing for Conference Championships and National Championships. The fact that we' ll likely make it to a bowl game in Rhule's first year speaks to the ineptitude of the last staff and the competency of this one. Rhule might do it faster than 4-5 years but he certainly won't have all the wheels back on the wagon this year.

I learned that Haarberg is still better than Sims. Yes, Haarberg has had some turnovers but we've overcome those mistakes and still won. That's HUGE and it's something we haven't been able to do for years now. I'm pretty sure the Dalai Lama cries when he sees Sims on the field and so do I.

I learned that we can make mistakes and overcome them in order to win. Good job guys.

He just might be innocent. https://www.cbsnews.com/detroit/news/mel-tuckers-attorneys-release-new-evidence-as-former-msu-football-coachs-title-ix-hearing-begins/ -
I jumped on the 5-1 bandwagon.

Those same people ignore the fact that he doesn't throw sidearm every pass.
-
He doesn't throw sidearm every pass attempt so I think it probably is correctable.
-
If our offense could start playing as well as our defense we'd win a lot of games.
-
Statistical proof we are better than last year in at least these areas.
-
Does it really matter how many passing yards CU has if they are losing? And since when are stats that show gross incompetence (such as CU's defense) irrelevant?

Did Bill Callahan sabotage the 2004 season?

We could add Bo's less than stellar performance at Youngtown. -
Why would he? Colorado has given up 90 points and 1020 yards in their last two games which unsurprisingly were both losses. https://cubuffs.com/sports/football/stats

Suggesting that Tom Osborne and Bo Pelini were anything close to equals as coaches in their accomplishments is laughable in the extreme. -
I think we're playing better than we did last year and while that's not saying a whole lot, it's still encouraging to see. If I heard them right, the announcers said we had the number 1 rush defense in the conference. Compared to last year, that's huge. How many of us thought we actually had a chance vs Michigan? I didn't and I optimistically voted for 10 wins.

Technically speaking, it's not a crank bait, it's a topwater bait, most likely a Whopper Plopper or a variant thereof. That said, I've never heard of catfish taking topwater lures before.

The opposite of "front".
