  1. Sorry; didn't mean to be a dick. When I saw this topic, I genuinly wanted to see an outsider's opinion of the Big 12 -- and I guess I was just thinking out-loud that there's possibly an alternative reason as to why you were empathyzing... (pardon me for reading that as respect) But you're right, Nebraska has never beaten USC... good thing my team is 2-0 against you. Look at my Avi. But anyway, back on topic.... I hate the media to.
  2. Reading through this thread, it got me to thinking about how much disrespect we really get. After reading the USC fans thoughts on the big 12 and how they appeared to be compassionate with the average fan of the Big 12, I had the feeling that there was a reason for it... I couldn't put my finger on it, but after some research, I discovered that the big 12 has accounted for 25% of Pete Carroll's losses at USC. Hmm... Seriously, no disrespect to TarheelTrojan or any other USC fan, as I myself am a troll that usually only reads... and doesn't post. I But I felt compelled to point out that Trojan fans opinions, while relevant, may not be as bias free as Big 12 fans; and not quite the "outsiders" opinion that many people were looking for.
  3. If anyone cares; From a Wildcats perspective, I'll admit he did have a horrible game... It's concerning, but there were quite a few factors that played in. The WR's also had a horrible game. Also, like many spring games, the clock is left to run down until it's inside of 2 minutes where the clock stops and start according to actual rules... so it wasn't even a complete game. Like someone posted above, we do a draft style to pick the teams... The purple squad (Freemans Team) had our #1 WR #1Te 3 starting Lineman (inc. starting center) and our #4 and our #5 RB. On top of that the white squad’s defense was nearly all #1's on the depth chart. The white squad never even had to stop the run, as Freeman's team couldn't ever get it going with our crappy RB's. Because of that, all Freeman's WR's were in double coverage all day and every one of his completions were threaded through the a couple defenders. He did however make at least 4 absolutely horrible throws that he should have just tucked away. It was a bad performance that no one will deny... but everyone I went with went in knowing the purple squad was going to lose because the white team had the best running backs and the best Defense. Freeman's biggest problem right now is skipping through his progressions when he feels any pressure. If he can learn to read some pre-snap D or just tuck it and not lose any yards; he'll be fine. I don't mean to regurgitate Prince's "coach speak" but KSU fans need to remember this guy is a Sophomore, and the mistakes he's making are mistakes that young guys make. He has all the tools - He just needs to put in the work and the reps. As for depth at QB... It's still not great, but we actually have 1 scholarship Soph. (freeman) 1 scholarship RS Freshman that was a Grey shirt last year until all of our QB losses last year. (Carson Coffman... Chase Coffman's little brother) 1 Junior Juco Transfer (I think is a walk-on Caleb Smith; nothing special) and have 1 incoming freshman that may RS in Tyson Hartman out of Wichita. At this point Carson Coffman seems to be the only legit backup. But he looks like a guy that could contend for playing time by his Junior/Senior year. I honestly think we'll be okay this year. We'll have to be if the north can ever get any power back from the South.
  4. It's really the most entertainment I've had since Jan..... God I hate the off season.
  5. It was all a joke guys. The guy that started it was just being sarcastic, as were all of us KSU fans, and a few Husker's took it seriously and spread the rumor, 20 minutes into it we were just trying to make it more unbeleivable to see how much some people would beleive. Entertainment. Even the screenshot of the Facebook was fake.
  6. I dont' really expect any of you to feel any different.... But neither do they... That's my point, they will do anything to get under your skin, and they are accomplishing that goal. I don't agree with it, I would want to feel the same way; but ultimately, the only way to get rid of it is to ignore it.
  7. I know most of those guys don't really mean any disrespect to lucky or berringer's family. They're only intentions are to ruffle feathers. I don't join in, but it isn't anything that I'm offended by. My skin is thick enough and I'm wise enough to know that my thoughts and wishes will come back to me. I guess I'm saying I beleive in Karma, and holding any negative feelings to those guys that say those things aren't much better than saying those things.
  8. Hey guys; haven't posted in a while, but the only reason any of those guys make those jokes are for threads like this one to exist. It isn't about lucky's condition or Brook passing, it's about getting under your skin. They're just fishing is all. Sincerely hope Lucky has a speedy recovery.
  9. Maybe this is just me being upset with our worthless performance last night, but I can't hold it in any longer. I've been objective about everything I've ever read on here, and yes I realize that this is a Nu board, and most people here hate KSU. But anyone that wants a fellow big 12 team to fail because you have harsh feelings towards a fickle 18 year old kid, well then you my friend are a miserable loser. Wishing pain and frustration on anyone is immature and childish, regardless of whom they are. I thought you were the best fans in college football? From what I’ve seen the past couple of years, that title can only be relinquished to a handful of you. A couple of friends of mine and a couple of you on this board that were respectful to me don’t outweigh the spoiled ungrateful punks that won’t even be going to your own bowl game because you think Dallas is a stink hole. I’m sorry but there was a time that I would have referred to Nebraska as the college’s greatest fans, but those days are no more. It’s easy to be a great fan when you’re winning. But true colors are shown in the face of adversity and several ‘skers that I know have proven to be nothing but fair weather fans incognito. I don't like anything about NU football. I laugh when other big 12 teams beat you, but come January 1st, I'll be watching and hoping you stomp Auburn into the ground. Why? Because you are still the big 12; you're the cousin I don't like, but you're still family. Good luck to your team against Auburn…. and if you were happy KSU lost and Freeman was drilled into the ground because of lack of protection…. I hope you stub your toe as you turn on your TV to watch the game… If you even wake up in time to watch it.
  10. As Ronald McDonald would say... I'm Love'n it. We lose? No big deal, we were supposed to. We win? Kansas State upsets an ESPN Darling. With a crappy 7-5 record, this is the best matchup we could have asked for. B-E-A-UTIFUL!
  11. Slight chance my cats could be there. Hoping for a Rutgers victory this weekend. Then Texas could go to the Gator. Everything we've been hearing is UT #1 choice; KSU or TECH #2 (No one giving a clear answer who is leading the #2 race); and MU #3.
  12. probably a combination of things. Freshman on the road; arrogance from previous week; poor game planning (we ran the ball 4 times in the first half for crying out loud) Leads to no protection when the opposing D is sending 6 guys every play. Our biggest gains of the game came from the first play TE post, a shovel pass, and a delayed handoff. Not taking any of the blame off of Josh, but the game plan and the play of fellow players certainly didn't help the situation. Regardless, he still needs to grow up. I've got high hopes for next year. Returning all but one o-lineman and 2 recievers on Offense losing a DT 2 LB's and a Free safety on D. All of our playmakers will be back next year with the exception of LB Brandon Archer. Given the progression we've made from the past month, and the lessons we hopefully learned from trippin over ourselves last week, there's no reason we cant have 8 or 9 wins next year. Hardest games we'll have next year @ Fresno St., @ UT, @ NU, @OSU. Everyone else is at home with the exception of ISU, but I don't see how they could do anything next year. The north next year could come down to the KSU vs. NU game. But I'm getting ahead of myself... we're still getting talk of a possible Alamo bowl. Good to be back in post season.
  13. Been lurking here ever since... just haven't posted because there was nothing I could really add to.
