    Microsoft announced today that it's phasing out Internet Explorer. More surprising to me was the HUGE gap Chrome has built over Firefox in the last couple of years. FF is being left in the dust.

      These all go in cycles.

       

      Firefox got huge because IE was a memory hog. Then Firefox started getting bloated. Along came Chrome. Now Chrome is starting to hog resources. Rinse and repeat.

      Can't believe Microsoft would concede defeat in such a crucial area. OTOH, "Spartan". Wasn't it the Spartans who created the Trojan Horse? Oh Microsoft, you are so clever. LOL

      agree w/NUance, as much maligned as IE was I too am surprised they'd give up.
