  1. Completely agree. But it appears we're getting killed by the national media. That's not what was expected. A lot of these are reaction comments made by people that mostly look at paper results. It's just a subject to chirp about. I'm not paying attention to them and what they have to tweet about. The right thing to do was done. For the time being of getting killed by the national media, it will pass.
  2. Might be why they left "it up to SE"? I believed that you knew something borN. I just wasn't 100% if was going to be HC or somehow just a few assistants. Thanks man!
  3. I do sympathize with the players and how they must feel. Those guys have seen a lot of the playing field. Are there any tweets coming from non-starters? Just wondering because it's a pretty big team.
  4. Big time sports and corporate America, yes. That screenshot you posted shows the Huskers 4th all time in victories. 4th.....when compared to all the Power 5 conference schools, I think that is a pretty big deal too. Maybe that carries some heavy reality weight? I doubt we got all those wins in the mid to late 90s. We've been good at winning a long, long time.
  5. Very well said. That's the bottom line IMO.
  6. This is exactly correct.I've always felt he'd have any DC job he wanted, even in the NFL where he has his origins, so firing him was never really a moral dilemma for me. I agree - a lot of teams will contact him. Definitely the NFL. He will be fine. I wish him the best.
  7. I understand the sentiments. I'm just not sure how impactful families are. In Bo's case they are $10 MILLION richer. Sorry fella, but since I am poor, I can only dream of such a tough situation to be in.
  8. Holy cow. I'm partly shocked but extremely excited at the same time. I can't believe it actually happened!!!!!!! Best of luck to Bo.
  9. The Tech game instantly came to my mind too. Also agree with Taylor against NW. While Martinez at Washington, KSU, and OSU were fun. As was his first game. But in my opinion, the 2nd game Zac Lee played in 2009 was incredible to watch. He threw the ball so accurately well with confidence. 27-35 340 yards & 4TDs. To some degree, that's my preferred style for Quarterback. Not Lee per say, but an accurate passing QB with just a little more quickness & speed. And of course intelligence, poise, and leadership.
  10. Great Point Great Point Great point - Possibly Great Point Because more people respond to my threads than any other poster! NOPE.
  11. Any good Husker Sports Radio Shows I can stream? Looking to catch some Husker talk and vibe from the good state. Thanks

  12. It was a stupid hire. It's lasted 7 years since the announcement. Callahan was a stupid hire when announced as well. Going further back is nitpicking. 11 years of this baloney is too long, but I'm still watching or streaming every single game. Even with crappy DSL high slow speed. I've even listened to games online when I couldn't watch. I'll still be here rooting for the Huskers. Sticking it out until the end of game. But man I'm not looking forward to the SSDD type of big-game results if Bo is retained. Those games are the ones that I circle with most anticipation and can't wait for the week to arrive. Then 30 minutes after kickoff it's SSDD all over again. Not 30 football clock minutes into it, but a half hour after kickoff. 11 years. 7 with Bo. I won't walk away from the Huskers by keeping Bo. But I can't say with 100% certainty that I will be into it as much as I have been. Truthfully, the Wisconsin game a few weeks back was the dagger and games like that keep happening with Bo as Head Coach. He needs to go - NOT ME!
  13. It's a tough call. Because we want the 4 best teams to play for it all. I'm disappointed too, but without Barrett, tOSU is different team. Barrett was playing at a real high level and the biggest part of the offense. With his backup at QB now, they will be good, but they aren't better than any of the top 8 teams. So I think the humans consider that and they're out.
  14. Who is calling anyone stupid? I feel like that is the pro-bo camp tonight throwing words into the other sides mouth.Anyway. I'll give one, because there is only 1 I want legitimately. Jim McElwain - CSU ShawTressel Moglia Shaw yeah right. Tressel has a do clause til 2016. Moglia is like 55, and mcelwain just lost to air force. Yeah fire everybody and hire those nobodies. What are these great reasons to keep Bo? What are your thoughts on both losses to MSU, both blowout losses to Wisconsin, both losses to Minnesota, both UCLA losses, the Georgia loss, the South Carolina loss, the Ohio State loss, the Washington bowl game loss, a home loss to Texas, and the home loss to Northwestern, last years Iowa loss and Bo's post game reaction, and his unsportsmanlike penalty towards an official, the Michigan and Wisconsin lopsided losses in 2011, the Texas A&M loss, the several unsportsmanlike penalties including one on Bo towards an official? And with the exception of a few of those games, the rest were all on national TV as big games of interest. Please explain your thoughts and reasons on those games mentioned as why Bo should be retained. I just want to know. And I'll extend that to any Pro Bo fanboy.
  15. Pretty good read. These were the quotes that I relate my frustration with: "Too good to fail. Not good enough to succeed." "Established programs rarely give a coach so many chances. That’s because elite head coaches almost always prove it early."
  16. Yeah. I like this coach since AR Husker mentioned him a week ago. So I had to look into it some more. Wish I saw a few games he coached. But for now, I would prefer him as a front runner among whatever possible candidates there would be. Then I hear about buyouts and extra millions as possible issues or a road block....and I skip over it since that is way over my head and concern
  17. So ready for Bo to be released from his duty. A new head coach would breathe some life back into huskernation. However, I just hope there is an intelligent plan that was put in place over the past year. Definitely need to execute this one properly. So if there is an action plan, it better be a good one. With several good candidates lined up. And a good PR team to express solid reasons and expectations.
  18. U are also comparing us to the top 2 teams of the last decade. Nobody is saying we are the third best team in the country, but we are more consistent than the rest of the teams in the country. If u have ever listened to Dr tom speak u would know that u can achieve instant glory the wrong way or If u truly want to accomplish true success it is a long hard road with no shortcuts. Read the OP and circle back. Or you can read Coach Power'T post #14

seriously, we have been through this, last year. a coach that gets to lose 4 games a year in an easy conference, who does not have to win anything of meaning, who does not have to improve, who can tell the fans to f#*k themselves, who can call himself a defensive guru and yet field some of the worst defenses in school history, and who can do this for 7 f'ing years. honestly, why keep bo and who would be afraid to replace him? this team is as bad as it has been under him after he had 7 years for his "process" and to find players that could "execute." i really wonder what quality coach with any self-esteem at all would be afraid to follow in bo's footsteps. Man oh man. This has to be my favorite post of the day. Very well said. I'd search for an applause gif if I didn't have DSL with the slowest speed since modems.
  20. My little common sense looks at the number of games LOST. Nebraska 27, Bama 10, Oregon 13. Would take another 7 years for Bama and Oregon to match the Husker total. 9 wins is the wrong number to look at. Then I look at the scores of those games that the Huskers lost and it really makes the 9 win benchmark seem irrelevant.
  21. Well actually, the Huskers really had no choice than to play Huck It and Chuck It and hope something happens. That's the only thing you can try before giving up. Also, as long as Iowa punts the ball out of bounds, DPE can't get the entire team back into the game. Credit DPE, a lot of hopeful deep routes, a few plays by Ameer, and good ol' Iowa for having no speed, inferior playmakers at the skill position, and an awful coach. Pelini had no hand in the great comeback. Iowa really sucked and the Huskers connected on a few big plays to save the day.
