  1. Had to stop you right there, because we dont do that Cy. We just.. dont.. do that.
  2. He was wearing a beautiful red suede sport coat, with tan elbow patches and gold buttons. He also had on a crisp, solid white oxfort shirt, a black turtleneck, and wrinkle-resistant khakis by Dockers. His shoes were shiny black Hush Puppies supplied by Thom McAn, and his socks were brilliant ghost-white.
  3. I think the Pac 10 is the weeniest conference EVAH.
  4. KU on the nuetral sites. First they will beat Mizzou (Arrowhead), then OU, Tex, or Okie State in the Big XII championship game (San Antonio), then they'll beat LSU in New Orleans (or whoever flip flops the rest of the year). I think KU is playing with an ubelieavable amount of confidence, and they are just clicking on all cylinders. And the band plays "Fat guy in a little coat. Fat guy in a little cooaat"
  5. I see what you are saying. Let me throw something out there... The defense scores 2 TDs, causes fumbles, sacks, interceptions, great field position, etc, and carries the team to a 31-7 victory. Still thinking keep Cally and get a new DCoordinator? In this scenario, a punt return also goes to the house for a 50 yd score, while the offense puts up one touchdown and a field goal. The game is won convincingly. In a different scenario, the offense scores four TDs, a FG, and win 31-7. I personally would be happy with either scenario, however it would not fuzzy up my thinking. When the season is over, it's over and done. Either 6-6 or 5-7, bring in a new coaching staff and let's move on.
  6. When CU looks at game film, no doubt they will run the ball up the middle, to the left, to the right, and misdirections all day. Toss in a few play action passes, some post routes, and mismatches with their TEs inside the red zone. Game plan for NU should always be - Dominate the line of scrimage, attack the ball, and swarm tackle. Just havent seen NU stop a running game yet.
  7. Good point. BTW I am right there with you brotha on your thoughts about Pelini.
  8. NU 23 CU 28 Rush 127 Pass 283 Edge goes to the home team. And last I checked, still cant stop a running game.
  9. disagree again, Weis will learn how to be a good college coach, there will never be any hope for clownahan. Why do you think “Front-Butt” will change his ways but Callahan wouldn’t? They are basically right from the same mold. Both are very arrogant and set in their ways. Weis is just as much as an a$$ as Callahan appears to be (to the wolves). The only thing is he isn’t the coach here and if he was his crap wouldn’t work (for the masses) just like Callahan’s. The real difference is that you call him Front Butt, and I call him Six Boobs. (Two on top, two in the middel, and two below)
  10. so if CU blows us out, what will be the effect on season ending coaching changes? A presser on Monday to announce the termination of Cally. It will be up to the new coach to assemble a staff. I think it will be done in a calm way by TO, addressing a lot of positives about Cally and so forth. on the other hand if we win, does anyone think that would save at least Cally's job? HELL TO THE NO! The hiring of TO as interim AD mid season was to alert the obvious, that changes would happen after the season.
  11. I say hire Chris Petersen and paint the field RED! Seriously though, I do like Petersen as one of my few favorites. BIO here
  12. If Miles bolts LSU for Michigan, he would have to pay $1.25 million to leave (per his contract). He went to Michigan & played for Bo Schembechler. It's the only gig (as far as a "dream job") I think he would take over his current place.
  13. The weather is better in Baton Rouge. So is the Gumbo. But I'd choose Michigan.
  14. H37 - That picture is so awesome. I love it. The Reaper's coming.
  15. Cool. I'll catch 'em in Austin this year.
  16. I may have been taking it out on the keyboard.
  17. I thought Callahan was given a second chance after Tech hung 70 on his azz. Then I thought he got a second chance after he got waxed by OU and called the fans /// hillbillies. But then I thought he got a second chance the following year when he got lit up three straight games by Mizzou, OU, and KU. So then I thought he got a second chance by explaining to the Big 12 that his throat gesture, um, well he "had it up to here"... hilarioius. And this season so far, when I'm thinking he was given a second chance after USC, after Ball State, after Missouri, after Okie State, after A&M, after Kansas - (what was that?), I think he pretty much has run out of second chances. But this is my opinion, maybe a little harsh, or maybe it's a 2 X 4 right in the middle of the forehead. Wakes you up. Gets your attention. Sometimes its needed. He tried. It didnt work out. He moves on. We move on. Time for a different direction. A new chance.
  18. I made the argument last year that Miami, Fla and FSU didnt deserve a bowl invitation by finishing with .500 records and losing conference records in the ACC. So I guess I should be fair and say NU wouldnt deserve it either. If they get invited, all is fair then. Dont even want to think of the Hogwash that comes with "20 something consecutive bowl appearances". Or the "at least they made a bowl game the past few years" crap. Because it is.
  19. Co-worker requested a day off so I am came in for him. It is dead quiet at the office. Unbelievable. Maybe I should change my shift to include Saturdays. 2 more hours to go before I can go home, get cleaned up and then go spend money on my date tonight. Dinner and drinks. I am so ready for that beer!
  20. Texas / OU is exciting because it's early in the season. Miami / FSU has not been anything the past five years. Since there is no conf championship game, Ohio State/Michigan stays a huge rivalry because they know it's the last game of the regular season every year.
  21. OU or a cinderella team. Pac 10 & Big 10 have no conference championship game. How pathetic is that? And I'm a little exhausted from the constant SEC publicity, specifically Florida & LSU.

    OH OREGON

Glad Oregon lost. Not a fan of the Pac 10 or Big 10 until they start playing a conference championship game.
