  1. Sounds like TT. Don't get your hopes up.
  2. Yeah, but if the two of them were seniors in HS today, Nebraska would be recruiting them as WRs, given our current offense.
  3. Agreed. Both Warren Sapp & Ray Lewis have said LP was the best player they have ever played against at any level.
  4. I agree with this. I know that many people (myself included) visit the Recruiting page much more than the Main Forum.
  5. Player: Jordan Allen Hometown: West Monroe, LA Position: DE Height: 6'6" Weight: 248 lbs. 40 time: Visit Date: TBD Scholarships offered: Nebraska Favorites: Nebraska, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Scout: ESPN Grade: Assessing the talent: Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20%. We are in with the early offer and listed in his top three.
  6. It would be quite the coup to get him out of SEC country, especially Baton Rouge...ever since I left LSU I've noticed that kids that go to high school in Baton Rouge rarely leave. they did take Sheppard, so i would assume they would pass on him Every school wants to take one QB a year. Can't imagine why LSU is different.
  7. Well, if that's the case, I hope he doesn't decide to go the Chris Whaley route and elects to play ball with his bro instead.
  8. I'm sorry, but why is this news worthy to to us ? Dude, no need to be snappy about it. Pete was just letting us know the status of the kid. I thought it was newsworthy, and am interested in the status of these guys. If it bothers you that much, don't read it.
  9. Player: Aaron Benson Hometown: Cedar Hill, TX Position: LB Height: 6'2" Weight: 205 lbs. 40 time: 4.5 Visit Date: TBD Scholarships offered: Nebraska, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M Favorites: Texas Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Scout: ESPN Grade: Assessing the talent: Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 5%. We are up against the big dogs here. Goes to the same high school that current Husker CB Anthony Blue attended.
  10. Player: Taylor Bible Hometown: Denton, TX Position: DT Height: 6'3" Weight: 280 lbs. 40 time: 4.9 Visit Date: TBD Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Arizona, Baylor, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech Favorites: TBD Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Scout: ESPN Grade: Assessing the talent: Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 10%. Is a teammate of 2009 Husker OL commit Jess Coffey.
  11. As a football player, none are better than LP. As a person, all are better.
  12. Eh, this is a bit different - this WR is a soft commit and has always said he is open to taking visits, versus A. Green who was a firm verbal and hasn't visited anywhere in months.
  13. normally families like that have a pretty close relationship.. hopefully that will mean something when it comes to recruiting his lil brother. Great point.
  14. Told Bob Stoops no thanks. Solid on his NU commitment.
  15. technically Rodgers was a HB Agreed. I don't think that Johnny Rodgers was a WR in the purest sense of the term. If we are talking about who is the best pure WR that Nebraska has ever had, the answer is hands down Irving Fryar. We have not had a player at that position come close to his level of play-making ability before or since. When you look at his body of work at Nebraska and in his 15+ years in the NFL, there is no contest.
  16. I've heard it as well. He has made it public that he will commit to as yet un-named Big 12 school on signing day.
  17. I would say his chances of being qualified are 85% and his chances of being N are 70%, based on stuff I have read.
  18. Athletically speaking, none of those mentioned can touch Irving Fryar. He was a freak in terms of speed and agility, and the best example of a pure WR that Nebraska has ever produced. People forget - Fryar was the number one pick in the 1984 NFL draft, and a five-time Pro Bowler. Who says we can't produce quality wide outs?
  19. Yeah, even though he is 5'7" he seems like a very good player. Highly doubt we will pursue him though - I think if we strike out on Eric Martin then we are calling it quits at LB for the year.
  20. It will be a cold day in hell when a Texas kid will pick a Nebraska offer over a U of Texas offer.
