  1. If you're making a website for a football player to win a national award for the best player in the entire country, and you make it using microsoft word or some pre-made template, you are not going to be taken seriously.
  2. Besides penalties I thought they played great. Zac Lee didn't get sacked once did he? Besides the fumble that came out of his hands and the missed snap, but those hardly count as sacks.
  3. It's also on espn360.com
  4. If there was some kind of legal problem, either nothing would happen, or we would be informed and then we would take it down. As far as a blog, I'm not really sure it would work well because the only thing you would really put on a Heisman website would be a very basic page that looks nice and has minimal info, but links to other info.
  5. Someone made a semi-sarcastic post last night to get Suh's Heisman site up as soon as possible, but if someone could cut it up and code it I could make the graphics. Anyone interested in going into this?
  6. Amukamura played absolutely lights out in the secondary as well as good performances by everybody else.
  7. There is NO way Bo can justify not giving them out.
  8. Good game by your guys as well. I am starting to enjoy this Nebraska/Missouri thing...
  9. Who cares? I have mispronounced tons of players' names before, including our own. It took me two years to figure out how Amukamura (sp?) was pronounced, and I used to say "HEY-loo" as well.
  10. The question was who did you enjoy watching more. I absolutely agree that Tommy Frazier is leaps and bounds ahead of Crouch as a player but I will admit that I liked watching Crouch play way more than I liked watching replays of games with Tommie Frazier.
  11. Besides the fake field goal against Colorado (which Henery and possibly the refs is/are to be blamed for), I don't really remember any other times where trick plays hurt us? I remember Lucky's throw back to Ganz, fake field goal where Wesch threw it against TTech, fake field goal LSU-style against Kansas and maybe a halfback pass or two.
  12. I was talking with one of the Rivals Insiders today and he told me he fully expected Moore to commit to the Huskers.
  13. The Packers tried running the same type of play against the Vikings. It's normally only good for a few yards or so.
  14. How about the infamous Nebraska halfback pass, that seems to work exactly 50% of the time, but the times it does work are always big moments.
  15. The fan that can't take any criticism of their team and will claim that any said fan is not really a fan and should leave the bar. Met a lot of these fans during the Callahan years. I bet their the same fans that cuss whenever his name is mentioned now. They remind me of the subject Real fan post on here occasionally. Landlord not saying your that kind of fan but it sounds pretty close to it. I don't think I am that kind of fan, but I could be wrong. I am fine with criticism, and I am fine with being criticized myself as long as it's in a healthy matter. An example of what I dislike would be when Ohanlon gave up the 81 yarder to Va Tech, I heard a lot of people around me shouting the likes of "THAT GUY IS SO RETARDED I'M GONNA GO STAB HIM!" and "PELINI IS AN IDIOT TO PUT THAT KID IN IN ANY GAME HE IS THE WORST PLAYER I HAVE EVER SEEN". Hope that helps clarify. P.S. - I am far from someone who cusses anytime I hear the name Callahan, in fact I even made a thread called "Good things that Callahan did for our program" or something of the sort.
  16. There are a few types of fans that I get annoyed by (they aren't actually annoying, the error is in me, not them), but I think the people I have the worst time with are people who are just overly pessimistic. You don't hear anything other than a typical "WHOOOO" when there is a big play, but you hear constant moaning and putting down of the players when they mess up.
  17. Aaron Green is the REAL Barry Sanders Jr.
  18. The biggest problem with polls is that people have the same mentality as you, Bosnian Husker. You think that if a team loses, no matter the margin of victory or how they played, that the game they lost is not allowed to be used in determining their talent. We outplayed Virginia Tech on 60 out of 63 plays, so I think that means we are very close to their talent level. Seems logical to me..
  19. Does anyone get their cable out of Sioux City? I'm going to school in Wayne and during the NU/VT game, we had to watch the game on ESPN2 because the Iowa game took the abc spot (presumably because our cable comes out of Iowa), and I'm worried that Minnesota Penn State might do the same, just because of the Big 10...
  20. The ticker to the next game on the board index says that we play missouri on Saturday October 8th. Just thought I would let someone know.
  21. Was hoping for a night game, but I'll take an ABC/ESPN broadcast over a night game! GBR
  22. Sat, Nov. 7th we play Kansas in Lawrence. Both teams could realistically be one-loss teams, with Nebraska having a win over #18/24 Missouri and a loss to #5 Va Tech, and Kansas (if they take care of business) could be undefeated or have a loss to Oklahoma. Looks like this could be a big time game that could draw a lot of attention if things go well beforehand, maybe even a chance of Gameday coming (if Kansas is #15/16 right now, they should be very highly ranked, ESPECIALLY if they beat Oklahoma, and we should as well). Ok this post was a bit of rambling but basically what I am trying to say is that I AM PUMPED FOR THE CHANCE AT ANOTHER NATIONAL GAME FOR US TO PROVE OURSELVES
  23. I go to schol at Wayne State and we do this once a year for women's basketball, where we have a "pink out", the players wear pink warm-ups and shoelaces, etc. It's really a fun event, and I'm not sure if you guys know or not but Nebraska's women's basketball team does the same thing, and they wear pink jerseys and auction them off. As far as I knew this was something that was usually done at women's sporting events though, but I would be absolutely for it!
