  1. That this will be the norm as long as Pelini is head coach. 10 wins/year, terrible post-seasons. Never being able to take it to the next level.
  2. I understand the frustration, but I disagree with you on Pelini.... On which point? What is your reasoning?
  3. Yet another 10 win season. Yet another year with no post-season win. I don't believe Bo will ever be able to take this team to the next level. He is just lacking that extra "something" that makes a great Head Coach. Honestly I'm more excited about the future of Husker Basketball at this point. That is sad.
  4. So.. what the f#*k happened to our secondary? Evans and SJB looked like complete jokes out there today. Also, on that 3rd &12 Georgia scored off of, how the f#*k was there no safety over the top?
  5. Damn Huskers.. got my hopes up. Oh well, knew it was too good to be true.
  6. heismanpundit has aTm's QB as a lock to win it as a freshman. Teo is the consensus runner-up. I don't think we'll be seeing a defensive player win this year. I wouldn't say Teo is better than Suh.. think it has more to do with the field of Heisman potentials this year being weak.
  7. I was confused by this as well. Ticketmaster shows the legends and leaders sidelides opposite of what huskers.com shows. They just have the field flipped. Both are correct, just look at the section #s. I figured it out eventually....just needed the extra cup of coffee this morning. I was confused by that too. I think the one linked on Huskers.com is the 2011 map.
  8. My girlfriend and I are going We just moved to Indiana from Nebraska a couple of months ago.
  9. Posted it a while ago... Scroll up, post #23
  10. "The biggest thing holding Nebraska back over the past 5 years is undisciplined play and stupid penalties. This has to be the #1 focus to fix this offseason." Wasn't that the #1 issue to fix last off-season? All the "leadership" and "accountability" stuff was supposed to take care of it....
  11. Penalties, poor line play, terrible play calls.. and now something new: dropped passes. We get a gift to take control of our division, and we're looking to throw it all away a week later. This is hard to watch.
  12. with burkhead out i was very surprised we didn't see more of cross and heard. especially cross on short yardage situations.
  13. Yeah, he barely got touched as he went to the ground. Announcers said something about someone landing on him, but they were wrong. Case closed.
  14. For a minute there it looked like Martinez was going to be out of it too. What a weird second half that would have been.... Neither of our teams has a serviceable backup quarterback apparently.
  15. I'm not sure it's clear whether the OP is a Husker of Wolverines fan... he's got the default N avatar and his wording didn't make it clear one way or the other. The title implies he's a michigan fan, so that's what i assume.
  16. Do we need to win this to make it to the B10 championship game? Yes. Do we need to win this to make it to another 9-3 record? No.
  17. Premature? You call 5 years of seeing the same problems time and time again premature? You may want to check the definition of premature. Maybe some of you could ask your wives or girlfriends and they could probably tell you exactly what premature is. 5 years of Bo's teams and staff bickering on the sidelines, players making the same mistakes, bone headed penalties, and stupid ass turnovers.....no, that's not in any way premature to be calling for a change of pace. Matter of fact, a lot of programs don't even give guys 5 years anymore. I could always see where people were coming from with wanting Bo gone, I just never quite felt like it was time, but after this game it's pretty clear that a change may not be a bad thing. As long as it's the right change. Nebraska won, this is where you go cheer on your"new team" until they lose again. BUH BYE!!!!!!!!! hahahaha.........suck a richard. Same warning. Suspension or ban will follow with another violation. How is it that in other threads people are getting insta-suspensions for comments like "FO", but these clowns only get warnings? Some consistency from the mods please?
  18. I love it. We can go 12-0,11-1 or 10-2 and not worry about playing and getting embarrassed in the Rose Bowl Game. We'll let ann arbor university do that AND get a top 5 ranking NEXT year And exactly what good would that top 5 ranking be next year, hmmm?
  19. Well, we have one 1-point win, and one 25-point loss, so... wait? what was your point again? You like winning? Oh yeah, me too!!
  20. It would seem to me that the penalty was indeed a personal foul and the ref misstated the penalty, or the enforcement was wrong and the refs will be hearing from either the B10 and/or NCAA about it. That isn't the correct rule citation. The one you cited only has to do on passing plays which is where you most often see defensive holding. This was called on a running play. So the 10 yards was correct. 5 yards and an automatic first down is the NFL rule. As far as the enforcement, I also thought that seemed odd but it appears to be correct: So, as crazy as that seemed, it appears it was enforced correctly. Whoops, my bad.. I thought it did occur during a passing play. I stand corrected!
  21. That's not what I said. I'm merely providing it as evidence that the coaches do not have to be completely involved in the motivational process as the OP suggested. The players-only meeting by itself means nothing. But, I believe it raises an eyebrow given everything else that we've seen.
  22. It would seem to me that the penalty was indeed a personal foul and the ref misstated the penalty, or the enforcement was wrong and the refs will be hearing from either the B10 and/or NCAA about it. Hmmmmm From what I recall, it was holding and not PI, but I don't know. Seemed like the ultimate bonus first down. I didn't know if there was a rule change I didn't know about though. Awkward. The way the rules is stated (unless it has been changed). A defensive holding call should have been 10 or 15 yards from the previous spot plus an automatic first down. There is no language that allows for the penalty to be enforced from either the spot of the foul or from the end of the play. It was either a) wrong penalty announced or b) wrong enforcement of the defensive holding penalty
  23. Yeah, you're right we were just imagining things. And the cameraman who cut to the scene was just imagining it too. Maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked, but it certainly looked bad.. bad enough that they switched the camera feed to show it.
