  1. I have to go to work early tomorrow, so I thought I'd post some videos again to get people pumped up. EHmefyksm_I What comes from Texas? zVyNZzyw9zw Are you ready qdEcMUU-rGo If this doesn't get you pumped up, nothing will. 2PtvLTZS4Ik Nebraska is the underdog in a battle nobody predicts them to win. Sound familiar?
  2. How freaking awesome is this? The media picks Texas to win, a ton of College Football Fans want Nebraska to win. I hope all the Cornhuskers know how many people they have pulling for time in this one.
  3. I'll probably go out to my car and honk my horn. I imagine I'll see fireworks going too.
  4. If it's snowing in Texas, I guess the Good Lord wanted to make Nebraska fans feel at home, or it just goes to show that He is a Husker Fan.
  5. Varsity Sports on 96th and Q next to HyVee or on 144th. Brewsky's on 84th and Park Drive or 150th and Q. I'm trying to think of others. If you plan to go somewhere, be sure to arrive there extra early. Cornhusker fans will probably be high-fiving each other in this one.
  6. It's Thursday Night, and I'm already foaming at the mouth. I am off work Friday, so I'll be playing NCAA Football 2010. Nebraska is in the National Championship 13-0. I have yet to play Nebraska vs Texas. (Can you play Texas at the Cowboys/Big XII Stadium?) Saturday, I'm up early to work at Super Target on 84th ST. If you're bored stop by and I'll be working behind the deli trying to prevent myself from pulling a "ram-jam" on the meat slicer to be able to leave early. At least KETV has a pre-game show on at 6pm to help pass the final hour.
  7. hskerfan4life, that video and the music gave me chills. If ABC showed that before the Big XII Championship, they'd have people on the edge of their seats. Awesome! Just freaking Awesome!
  8. I remember being there in front of Crossroads Mall after the Fiesta Bowl and overall the crowd was having fun, giving high fives.. Then this policeman on horseback is working his way through the crowd trying to maintain order and this guy literally punches the horse on the left butt cheek. The horse almost threw the rider and another cop comes over and arrested the guy cuffs and all for "assaulting a police officer". After the 1998 Orange Bowl, the crowd was yelling chants of F*ck Michigan, and some poor gal doing play by play of the crowd on top of the van would get swarmed and the fans kept rocking her van to the point she looked ready to fall off. She finally kept her light off. I think it was KMTV. I watched the tape later on and found out that she kept the lights off to keep the fans from rushing the van. I wish I was there for 1994 but I remember heading there and getting near Center Street, and they said that they police had started turning people away.
  9. Hell yes. Hopefully they'd see Suh's total domination. I can't see how Suh isn't at the top of people's Heisman ballots when announcers say over and over again, "This young man is going to have an excellent career in the NFL" too.
  10. I had a dream before the 1995 Orange Bowl that Nebraska would come from behind, and that the game would end by interception. All I keep getting about the NU vs Texas game is Texas making some stupid mistakes that keep shooting them in the foot. "Illegal block in the back" on a huge kickoff return that pins them back deep in their own territory, a late hit penalty on a crucial play that allows Nebraska to score, and a miss read of our Defense that allows #33 to run the ball back for a TD. My dream was that 1/2 of the fans watching the game at the start of the 4th turned off the TV because they figured we had a snowball chance. The score is 24-10. Nebraska by the grace of a short field ties up the score 24-24 and is moving the ball down the field with time ticking away. They take a final time out and try for a field goal with 1 second remaining figuring it's time to win or go into OT and hope for a miracle. It's long enough and Nebraska kicks a 55 yard field goal and the Nebraska side is erupting, and the Texas side is dejected. Bo Pelini walks to the middle of the field to shake hands, then as he's being interviewed, the players sweep him off his feet and carry him off the field.
  11. I'm teary eyed about Bowden's retirement like I was when Tom Osborne announced his retirement. I might not be a FSU fan, but Bobby Bowden is a class act. When FSU won the National Championship in 1993, while Bowden accepted the National Championship, he also exclaimed that "sometimes the better team doesn't always win". He was as gracious in defeat as he was in victory. I really hope he writes a book of his experiences now too.
  12. I was talking to a guy at work tonight and he said that our Defense could help Nebraska work with a short field, not to mention our kicking game. Who knows what kind of a monster leg #90 has with no wind. Besides exposing Texas' Defense, we might expose Texas' Offensive line in the process too. I keep seeing holding penalties against the Offensive player blocking against Suh over and over. Texas might have to triple team Suh to keep him off of Mccoy. It's time for Nebraska to have that holy sh*t moment and break lose. We might be dangerous because we have nothing to lose either.
  13. Ok, so we don't go to the parking lot of the hole in the wall Crossroads Mall. I hope to see some fireworks going off, and some horns honking though.
  14. Jason would be an awesome Defensive Line Coach.
  15. Ok, here's the question I have to ask? Lets say Nebraska beats Texas for the Big XII Championship. Is this huge of a win against a BCS contender who was looking for a spot in the National Championship worthy of Cornhusker Fans heading to 72nd and Dodge?
  16. I hope if/when Nebraska beats Texas they would give something to Nebraska and not say give excuses to Texas. There is hope, on some Sunday Night College GameDay deal on ESPN or ESPNU they were giving props to Nebraska talking about the Big XII Championship saying you can't simply count out Nebraska and think that this will be an easy win for Texas.
  17. I'm trying to keep from setting myself up for frustration, but I'm getting goosebumps on my skin that somehow, someway, this group is going to play the best game of their lives. I have a feeling it will be a close game, and there is going to be a HUGE momentum shift by our Defense. Nebraska is in the Big XII North because of their never give up attitude. They have the "eye of the tiger" man, the edge. Nebraska has nothing to lose and everything to gain. I want to see the Zac Lee with that look in his eyes like he got the TKO. I know the game is in Texas, but Nebraska has always been a great traveling fan base. Nebraska vs Florida was like a home game and the announcers wondered how so many Cornhusker Fans got a hold of tickets. It's time Huskers. Lets unleash the beast. No Retreat and No Surrender.
  18. "Saturday Night's Alright" by Elton John leading into something else....
  19. What if the Nebraska Offense was "lackluster" enough to get the job done, but not give too much away to Texas? 5 plays shown to bore Texas to death while they watch the game film of Nebraska vs Colorado, and Texas might be overlooking us thinking they just have to show up, and get ready for the National Championship. I imagine the Cornhuskers are going to have a "balls out" practice week this week, Bo Pelini and Co are going to expect nothing less than perfection. I'm going to be foaming at the mouth all week, then I work 6-2:30 so at least part of my Saturday will be covered, then from 3-7 it's time to pace the floor. The Nebraska coaches need to get the players hungry for a victory. Let them think about the great taste of 10-3 and a BCS bowl.
  20. And other College Football Fans wondered why we cried like babies when Tommie Frazier played his last game at Nebraska and when he finished out against Florida in the Fiesta Bowl. I bet Tebow is going to make an impact in the NFL.
  21. Those 4 wins are amazing. I think in the preseason outlook, Nebraska might have even been expected to lose 1 for sure (Oklahoma), and Missouri and Kansas were big question marks. We've come a long way in 2 years.
  22. The score could have easily stayed 28-14 before Colorado went for the last ditch Hail Mary pass with nothing to lose. That TD when they didn't go for the extra point to make it 28-21 or go for 2 to make it 28-22 was a moral score like when Callahan went for a field goal in the last play against Oklahoma that time. The only people who were probably freaking out the most were the ones who bet on a line of 10 or higher spread in the game and thought Nebraska covered, only to see the TD and just a 8 point spread and thought, "We're gonna lose the house". Colorado was the one with nothing to lose. The yardage is misleading too, because a lot of times, Nebraska started with a short field. They had 400+ yards and only 20 points. That's a win no matter how ugly I'll take.
  23. Thank you, I couldn't believe the Refs said "There was no flag" after the obvious block in the back/clipping call too. There were a lot of missed calls by the officials tonight.
