  1. I can't take it anymore, I gotta rock out till game day, post your music videos, husker highlights or whatever and TURN IT UP! Headbanging time! PsnYrH3BUP8 F_JF8oSxXtM Ok, I know this is HHH's theme, but it kind of fits where we want Nebraska to be. doHoE156RAo V9KHtX9oJTk KZimumOkA1s Can't rock out without OZZY!
  2. Thank you! I can only imagine how fired up Bo Pelini will be in the speech before the Virginia Tech game.
  3. On the field, at least in College Football I thought Christian Peter was awesome. Maybe he had major issues off the field and probably could have died numerous times, but I think Christian Peter knows what constructive criticism is. I remember a Husker Video, I think it was A Day in the life of the Huskers, where Coach McBride is relentless towards a Defensive Player in practice because he isn't giving a full effort. "IF YOU MOVE ANY SLOWER YOUR HEART WILL STOP!" I'd much rather have a Coach who doesn't sugar coat everything and say, "We're excellent in all areas". Coach Pelini understands there is a lot of room for growth, and even if Nebraska has an awesome practice week, it has to happen out on the field of play too.
  4. If everybody wore black to a night game, would it make the stadium look empty?
  5. #19 Nebraska takes on #13 Virginia Tech on Saturday. If, or I should say when we win, Nebraska and Bo Pelini will have beaten a top 25 ranked opponent again, something Nebraska hasn't done since beating #24 ranked Texas A&M in 2006. The Coaches, and the Players are better than the team of 2006 too, and have a better understanding of the playbook. Win this game and Nebraska takes a big step forward. I wish I could see firsthand the emotion in the players this week. I can only imagine that they'd lay down and die for each other right now, they're looking one another in the eye knowing, that they'll win as a team. They can't be thinking they hope their good enough to hang with VT, Nebraska needs to hone in that Nebraska tradition of Dominance on Offense and Defense. Smashmouth football, and knockdown drag out Blackshirt Defense that shows how we rule the field.
  6. Back before the 1996 Fiesta Bowl, Sports Illustrated said Nebraska's lack of speed meant Florida would win the national championship "Bruised, Battered, but #1". Nebraska proved SI wrong. I don't know that this game is about speed as much as ball control, and battles in the trenches. We need to shut down the VT QB's ability to break free and gain yardage. There can be only one way for him to go, BACKWARDS. Nebraska needs to pound the guy flat on his back, and Helu needs to rush through holes at full speed. Maybe give Helu the ball on some short yardage situations too, if we're in the Red Zone. Nebraska was in it to win it last year, and this this year, Nebraska is even better.
  7. Shoot, 82 views and no replies. I hope everybody is getting a good laugh anyhow.
  8. I think we need to flush him out of the pocket with nowhere to run. Limit his options where he feels footsteps and throws dead ducks. Knock him on his @$$ every chance we get. I wonder how things will look up for the QB when he's flat on his back?
  9. ON NEBRASKA, A BIG-TIME PROGRAM WITH A GOOD OFFENSE, BEING A CHANCE FOR THE DEFENSE TO SHINE: “This game is a chance for us to shine. We’re going to give Nebraska our best game. They’ve played two Sun Belt teams. They’re not Virginia Tech. We’re going to get their best shot, and we’re going to give them our best shot.” ON HOW EXCITING IT WAS TO SEE THE OFFENSE BREAK LOOSE AGAINST MARSHALL: “It really was exciting. Especially from the standpoint that, behind the scenes, those guys put so much work in. It doesn’t always shine through on Saturdays, but throughout the week, through the winter, the summer workouts, through camp, those guys are working. The receivers, the running backs, especially the offensive line, and Tyrod, they’re all working so hard. For it to all come together on Saturday was a real good reward for them.” We are.. NOT Marshall! Nebraska is working hard too. The Nebraska attitude that showed up against Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado and Clemson needs to show up for this game. Nebraska needs to bring their knockdown, drag out, make the QB hate having to line up behind the Center, A game.
  10. If by Godfather, you mean Bob Devaney. It seems like from clips I've seen, Bob Devaney was a man of few words that had the same fire on the sidelines as Coach Pelini. Devaney let the team do the talking on the field.
  11. 0LcAuQ_AT-s Sorry I couldn't resist. At the end of the game, the Hokies will know what the Cornhuskers are all about.
  12. Awesome! That gave me goosebumps. Imagine how much the crowd is gonna POP when the beginning of the Tunnel Walk says, "300 Consecutive Sellouts". That and the throwbacks on the players. Nebraska's tunnel walk is unmatched. It is such an awesome addition to game day, I but other college football teams are jealous.
  13. Wow you've gotta love the attention to detail those ESPN announcers have.
  14. Boca Raton - "Win," said Owls senior fullback Willie Rose when asked about his thoughts as the kickoff against Nebraska approaches. "That is the only word I am going to say for the next couple days." Rose (6-1, 236) did have a few more words to say. "We want to win. I want to win. We are going to win. I don't care how it goes down, I just want to see more points on the scoreboard than the other team at the end of the game." FAU players have not been as bold as Rose this week, but they are confident and feel they can make a game of it despite being 21-point underdogs. Rose is a key component of the offense. He's a deceptively quick runner, and has averaged 5.1 yards per rush in his career, and he can work his way downfield as a receiver, and has nine touchdown catches. Rose is an effective blocker who can help protect the quarterback as well as open holes for the tailback. Quick exit: Nebraska senior defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh would like to be on the bench early against FAU. "I don't want to play the whole game. I want to see some of the younger guys get in there and play," Suh said. And he figures Nebraska could put the Owls away in a hurry. "I don't see us coming out lackadaisical and not being focused. I feel like we're going to jump on this team," Suh said. Hanging in: FAU quarterback Rusty Smith knows Suh and the Cornhuskers defense pose a problem, but he has is hoping the game takes a different course. "We have played these teams before and feel as long as we can limit our mistakes, limit penalties, put some points on the board and hang with them as long as possible, we have a chance," Smith said. e-mail: thutton@sun-sentinel.com Well FAU, I have to say that you are going to get a crash course, make that a crash and burn course in Football 101 in Lincoln. Huskers all the way baby! Nebraska is going to be focused and you're going to see determination in their eyes. I'd love to give FAU a goose egg. Make Captain Kangaroo go back to Mr Moose with a loss.
  15. That's cool. I told my Wife this morning that I feel like a kid on Christmas eve, The only thing is, we have to wait till 6pm to get our gift. Thank God, I have to work a while on Saturday, or I'd be pacing the floor. I went to Husker Hounds last night to get a schedule poster to write down the scores, and walking around makes me want the season to start just that much more. The size of the crowd inside was intense and you could feel a buzz in the air.
  16. The 300th win should be "Old School" with everything in black an white except for the Husker Red Jersey's and crowd. It has to have something to do with Devaney and Osborne too. I'm thinking just seeing the Huskers in the throwbacks is going to send chills down the spine.
  17. 70's with a chance of rain? Hopefully in the second half, FAU feels a cold chill in the air. I freaking can't wait! I've got my Husker Jersey ready, and I am looking forward to sitting at the bar and grill watching the game and downing beer and Roman Coin Pizza at the Varsity.
  18. I remember reading or hearing somewhere that the Broncos were thinking of picking him up too, maybe the Buffalo Bills even. It was a tragic loss to have #18 gone too soon. Before the plane crash, I had planned to make whatever team Brook was going to play for in the NFL my favorite team, and I was going to buy his NFL Jersey after the draft too.
  19. Check out Husker Hounds. I have seen some recordings in the past from 1995. Depending on how far you want to go back you should try to ask the owner. I think his name is Randy. If he doesn't have any, he might know where you can find some.
  20. Isn't that the same song Mangino's wife plays when Supper is ready?
  21. CBS CBS Sports Nebraska Football I think CBS has always had it out for Nebraska Football, they're like the Mangino of Sports.
  22. Is the rudeness of Colorado fans due to the high altitude and lake of oxygen or because of years and years of inbreeding. It's nice to be a part of the "Greatest Fans in the Nation" in Nebraska. I bet when Colorado visits Nebraska, Omaha and Lincoln make tons of Money. When Husker Fans visit Colorado, they're turned away. Great thinking Colorado. I guess Colorado's obsessing with the urine bombs is because they're golden, and they drop quickly just like the Buffs.
