  1. I'm glad to see that the game will be on ESPN, but starting at 8pm CDT? The game will start on Saturday and might not be over till Midnight. Oh well, it's the Huskers and they're worth it.
  2. I'm going to be sure to get that day requested off of work, or at least be off by 3:30pm or so because I'm sure my family will get the PPV or my Wife and I will go somewhere to watch it at the bar. For Nebraska vs Oklahoma in 2009, the teams should wear "throwbacks" too. I hope Husker Hounds and places sell some authentic stuff in regards to the 300th win, they'll sell a ton.
  3. Someone Needs to print a Shirt with a pic of Pelini on the front with a "300" on it, something like this 300 THIS IS NEBRASKA!! That or something that shows the date of the first sellout up to and including the 300th, and shows all Nebraska's achievements.
  4. Sorry I got so excited, it's just when I got NCAA Football '09 waiting at Midnight when it first became available, the guy at Gamers in La Vista, NE told me "Yep, this is gonna be the last NCAA Football game that EA Sports comes out with." I guess he was wrong.
  5. Looks like my prayers have been answered! NCAA Football 2010 on the PS2!!! :woo http://www.ea.com/games/ncaa-football-10
  6. Awesome! Tazz is a Husker Fan! It's great how Tazz is in Houston TX and is wearing a Cornhuskers Shirt. I bet JR gave Tazz some flack for not wearing an OU shirt, but JR should know that the real Big Red is Scarlet.
  7. Suh eats Offensive Linemen For Breakfast, Running Backs For Lunch and QB's For Dinner. Suh is a monster on the field. I hope he is a team captain.
  8. I could see Alberts starting as the AD of UNO and moving up to the AD of NU down the road. Trev Alberts knows the tradition of Nebraska Football. Heck, he bleeds Scarlet Red! I can't begin to count the number of times Trev would be fuming and ready to lay the smack down on fellow sportscasters who didn't have a clue on the tradition of Nebraska Football, or what it means to be a Cornhusker Fan let alone they seemed to forget that he was a part of the Cornhusker team that "Refused to Lose" in 1993 and came SO close in the 1994 Orange Bowl, and was there on the sidelines telling the players, "You guys are awesome!" as Nebraska led 24-17 in the 1995 Orange Bowl against Miami on their home field. Stepping Stone or not, I think UNO would make an excellent choice as the AD of UNO.
  9. Just in case you want to relive it. 2001 was an Awesome season minus the Colorado game, and the National Championship game against Miami. Remember when all those things had to happen for Nebraska to be able to be in the BCS championship, then one thing happened after another, and during the Big XII Championship we rooted FOR Colorado to get the win?
  10. I take it there is probably a snowball's chance of NCAA Football '10 coming out on PS2 right?
  11. I want to see a Black T with the 300 in red and a image of Pelini being intense. On the Back it could say "300 consecutive sell outs. This Is Nebraska Football!"
  12. I'm not proud to hear the team is having issues during Spring Practice, but it's nice to not have a Head Coach saying, "We're excellent in all areas". What matters greatly is that The Coaches can notice mistakes and fix them. After Spring ball, they can work the kinks out before the Fall Season. I'm sure Spring Conditioning will be intense too.
  13. I see this week that ESPNU is going to be showing Texas' and other Colleges Spring Games from this weekend. I am going to be in Iowa the weekend of the 18th, so I'm unable to attend the Spring Game, does anybody know if ESPNU or anybody is going to show the Spring Game or a replay, or am I going to have to go to youtube to check out highlights?
  14. I remember being at the University of Nebraska the summer prior to the fall that they started using "Husker Vision" and the Tunnel Walk. We were very near Memorial Stadium, and I hear "Sirius" being belted out from somewhere. It was loud and intense and sent chills down my spine. I saw a nearby campus security guy and asked where the music came from. He explained, 'They're just testing out the speakers of the new video and sound for the stadium and they're checking out the sound levels and output. There is something about Sirius that makes your hair stand on end when it's played. The only thing in my opinion that comes close is when they play "Hells Bells" by ACDC when the Defense takes the field.
  15. Notre Dame the football team not so much, Notre Dame Football fans like the douche that was spitting on Crouch when he scored the winning TD in overtime, yes.
  16. The Nebraska Blackshirts are going to be out for the kill in '09. As far as the '09 Offense goes, remember when Tommie Frazier was an unknown out of Florida who was coming to Nebraska to play? I think the possibilites of the 2009 Offense are endless. The Defense will do thier part, and I think the coaches will work on the Offensive strong points and in conditioning this Spring, they're gonna turn the young men into powerhouses. At Nebraska it's been about skilled players, but not just what they bring to the table, it's also about how the coaches mold them into something incredible. Also, the way the Cornhuskers always gel as a team says alot about them too. No Fears.
  17. One of the only reasons I can see Iowa at #20 is because they upset Penn State.
  18. So much emotion through the 1994 Orange Bowl. Pass is complete and he is tackled with 1 second on the clock and Bobby Bowden is dunked with the Gatorade, and FSU thinks the game is over! Osborne steps out onto the field holding up one finger (No Not That One), his index finger and says, "Nebraska still has one second remaining". A field goal try and wide left later. FSU wins, but Nebraska had a "moral" victory because we beat the spread of 17. Bowden has said too that "The better team didn't win".
  19. The 1984 Orange Bowl is amazing. Tom Osborne is still a football god for going for the tie instead of the win. Shows he wanted to win the National Championship the right way.
  20. I'm thankful for the Nebraska Blackshirts for stepping it up for the game and really shining in the 4th Quarter bringing back Husker Dominance. Without them. it's a whole different ball game. I think Nebraska was able to come from behind on Offense because the Cornhusker Blackshirts kept making Clemson go 3 and out and a could of dust. Nebraska wore out Clemson's Defense, and won. Nebraska deserves a spot in the top 25 for this.
  21. 9-4!! Even when the game looked out of reach, Nebraska stepped it up and channeled the Cornhusker games of old grinding it out and NEVER GIVING UP! I have literally got tears of joy in my eyes. This is like we just won the National Championship. I have got a giddy feeling going on. Nebraska should walk with their heads held high. You guys did it! Go Big Red!
  22. By that, I don't mean "Hook em Horns" I am headbanging to the tune! Awesome tune. Sends chills.
  23. I work at a Super Target in Papillion,NE and I had a slew of Cornhusker Fans at the store the last few days that were heading to the Gator Bowl. Word of mouth is that the Nebraska fans are going to make Nebraska feel like it's a home game in Florida. One guy I talked to said that word has gotten out that the Nebraska Fans are going to be loud and proud for their beloved Cornhuskers. They guy went on to tell me that, "Florida is a hotbed of recruiting talent, and a lot can be said to a high school student considering where to go for College Ball and his decision can be influenced not only by a team, but it's fans". I keep getting chills down my spine thinking about the Gator Bowl. It's not a National Championship game, but it seems like it's even more than that. It's about going 9-4 and saying proudly.... WE ARE NEBRASKA!!
