I'm pretty sure this trailer is supposed to do just that, nothing. If you want plot you buy a ticket and a lot of tickets are going to get sold.

The trailer isn't supposed to do "nothing," it's supposed to do just what it did - drive the more insane fans even insaner. Most people reacted properly to it (mild interest, continued excitement). It's those people who are FREAKING OUT because we saw another angle of the new TIE fighter that I'm on about.

I meant give away nothing as to the plot. Too many trailers do that nowadays. People are dissecting this thing like a fetal pig. I wanted to punch someone when I read people saying that Kylo Ren is Luke Skywalker. No.
