    We're headed out of the state. Not sure where we're stopping tonight. Trying to find a hotel anywhere in the southeast along our path is... hard.

      I'm glad to hear this - was worried with your staying.  There are a couple places in AL and GA that are posting w/availability (old nursing homes and camps) - if you really find that it's tough I'll forward.

      My mother in law (who's with us) found a cabin in Gatlinburg through a family friend. I guess waiting out a hurricane in the mountains ain't so bad.
