I think people will be pleasantly surprised this first game after coach Riley starts this exciting season off with a win. He and the rest of the coaching staff I think will be the difference as I believe the players on the team are talented enough to win most if not all the games on the schedule.

I've believed since the hiring that coach Riley will be able to make Nebraska a consistent contender for conference titles and occasionally national titles. I'm optimistic even about this season, the team is young but playing for a conference title certainly is not out of the question in my opinion. I think these coaches will be the difference as it seemed to me the past few seasons that was the difference, not the personnel on the field. I will remain optimistic until proven otherwise.

I feel that this hire in Mike Riley is far more ready and qualified than the last two coaches we've had. I'm very excited to see what we can do, and I don't expect it to take long with a coach like this to see what the AD just signed us up for in the coming season of Nebraska football. I get more excited about this the more I think about it. I fully believe good times are ahead.

I love all these people that can predict the future with this new coach ha ha. Coach Riley, just as any other coach they could have hired has a chance to make this work out great or not, there are no sure things when it comes to a decision like this. At this point in time he looks like the exact thing this program needs. Whether it works out or not NOBODY knows, but I very much look forward to finding out.

I think most of the griping is from all the people who thought Tressel was a lock to be our coach, and then he wasn't. I was shocked and disappointed at first slightly but then after learning more about this guy, seems like he could be just what the team needs.

Exactly, I don't know why everyone is crying about this hire. We may have found the right guy...

If I can support the Huskers through the Callahan days, then I can get through anything. And coach Riley has the potential to be just what we need. Only time will tell, no reason to whine and cry like a baby because they didnt hire pipe dream coach (Tressel). I believe Nebraska has a bright future ahead.
