There's no comparison between Snowden and the scumbag that released this recording. Snowden risked his life and gave up a very high paying job to expose the US government for shredding the Constitution with domestic spying. The loser that uploaded that recording is someone with a personal vendetta. In fact, the uploader's sneaky, backstabbing behavior is much more like an NSA agent reading through your personal emails, looking for anything "incriminating" to get you with.

I support Pelini 100%. Everyone at some point in their life has gotten pissed when they're stressed and said things they later regret. Firing Pelini over UCLA (which is obviously the real reason this recording was released) would be the stupidest thing that Nebraska could do. We'd undoubtedly end up in even worse shape than under Callahan. Whoever released this recording to play "football politics" really is a f***er.

I don't think we'll ever see Texas in the B1G. I think (and hope) that UNL would simply veto their application. I wouldn't be opposed to adding Kansas and Oklahoma though. But I suspect that OU would rather join the PAC with Texas, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech.

Congrats to Creighton -- that's a huge conference upgrade. Who would of thought back in 2009 that the state of Nebraska would become Big Ten/Big East territory?

Care to clairify? I want conferences that make geographical sense. Not NFL-style "conferences." I want the Big Ten to remain dominated by Midwestern schools, even though we're taking on a few from the Northeast for TV dollars. I think adding Kansas and Notre Dame would be the best way to finish off the conference expansion.

Yeah, but that is the way a lot of small town (especially Southern) authorities are. Going 31 in a 30? Pay the 100 dollar fine. That's where their salary comes from.

I voted East/West as well. I like the idea of NU playing the Big Ten schools closest to us geographically every year. Especially as the conference expands out over a larger part of the country.

I still fully support the move to the Big Ten. The Big 12 sucks because the University of Texas controls the entire conference, regardless of its football team's record in any given year. And the Big 8 is long dead and will never return. My only criticism of the Big Ten is the "B1G" logo. It sucks. I really hope they change that eventually.

The caller was a complete douche and a tool. ROFL! I've lived in Nebraska all my life and this place is full of a$$hole$. In fact, Bo Pelini is probably one of the friendlier residents.

The 17-52 loss to Missouri in 2008 was a home night game as well. And it was homecoming... Edit: we also lost at home to Virginia Tech during a night game that year as well. The refs made some bad calls in that one too.
