If you want to use your QB as your primary run game, that's fine with me. Guess that's one way to clear up a QB competition. First one with a broken bone loses. Get a fullback if that's the case...or better yet, put a TE back there to help lead block.

I learned this was the first game of the season and looked like it for both teams. Defense looked pretty stout against the run. LBs looked surprisingly decent against the run but slow on coverage. Good hitting though. Secondary has no speed and needs a dose of mental discipline My big question about the offense was where is this running game everyone keeps talking about? QB draws and scrambles is not a running game. Actual running backs carried the ball 14 times. Combine that with a bunch of slow receivers and you have a pretty anemic looking offense.

Hurry up and roll over already. Football comes on in 20 minutes.

Iowa State is allowing 25,000 season ticket holders into the first game against Louisiana Everyone going to the game has to wear a face covering from the minute they leave their vehicle to the minute they get back in their vehicle to leave No tailgating will be allowed No ruling on how many people will be allowed at the rest room trough at one time... Iowa managed a high school baseball season. Football season should be fine.

Yeah, there have been news stories about college prospect kids whose parents have moved to Iowa so their kids can play football...need tape for the coaches. The quarterback I watched last night was one of them. He's a 5* from Colorado whose parents moved here.

Pretty funny all the kids playing who just appeared here from Texas, Colorado and other states that cancelled football...

How funny would it be for Iowa State to win a national championship. Hawk fans would be jumping off silos all over the state!

I heard UNO is going to D1 and bringing back football...

I am going to grab my old Cyclone jersey and helmet...drive to Lincoln on some snowy Saturday afternoon...sneak into Memorial stadium...line up on the 50...throw myself a quick slant then sprint over the goal line and spike the ball yelling "In your face Father Time!" I will then go get a Runza and push random old people down on the sidewalk...and maybe kick a puppy.

It's relevant because all your fans are farmers. ALL of them. No one will be able to watch games because their horse drawn farming implements don't have wi-fi. So, they will have to choose...famine for millions or miss the game? We will all die of starvation in 2021...

Can't have football in the spring...that's planting season.
