In the Big 8 days we always had a big game prior to conference. Alabama, Auburn, Penn State, Florida State among them. Always made for a good time and especially if it fell on the same week end as mid-year St. Patrick's Day. This combined with a mid-level opponent and a couple patsys made for a good schedule and a lot of fun. ...T_O_B

Sounds good and I would be very happy with this situation but it still leaves Bo in a position where he's likely to make another move in 2 or 3 years and then the program is again in a state of flux. Part of Cally's problem was that the doors to the Assistant Coaches offices were revolving and he didn't have the ability to keep coaches in place for the long term. Wasn't Gill who lost. It was the team. The coach made a decision and we came up 1 point shy. We, The coaches, the players, the fans lost a game that day we also gained the respect of the college football world. If you want to turn this into a race thing then you had better take a longer look at Nebraska's Football program and the man who occupies the position of Athletic Director. Are there race problems in the State of Nebraska? Yes, but I defy you to find an area of the country where race is not a problem. Further more it's a street that runs both ways. Can't think of a reason to think ESPN's insiders know any more than any one else. I'm waiting for Ozzie to step in front of a podium and announce wo the new coach is. I think it will be some time next week after conference championship games.
