  1. Who's arguing? I'm asking for evidence. Lighten up, Francis. Where in Omaha did you see this? I've never heard of this being painted in Omaha, only the rumored one out in rural NE.
  2. And you know this because.... ? I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just wondering why you say it happened because I've never seen any evidence of the incident.
  3. Just to make sure I follow, there is no evidence of this being done at all or just no evidence that it was definitely Husker fans? Not sure. I've never seen this sign, or a picture of this sign, or news articles about this sign, and I've searched and searched and searched for it. The only place I've ever seen it discussed as fact was on Buff message boards, and one person here (forget who) who said they saw it. Regardless of whether there's evidence of it actually happening, there's ZERO evidence about who did it. Heck, it could have been KSU fans trying to stir up trouble. Pinning this on the Husker fan base is pretty flimsy. It wouldn't last a second in any kind of court.
  4. The sign was painted by NU fans. The sign was painted by CU fans attempting to cast aspersions on NU fans. The sign was painted by Elvis when he landed in his space ship. The sign was painted by mermaids who took that left turn at Albuquerque. The sign evolved that way in the wild. There is no sign. Take the Blue Pill. You know what all of these things have in common? Without witnesses or any kind of evidence, they're all equally likely to be true.
  5. I agree that our O Line probably isn't as good as 'Bama's yet, but they are MUCH improved over recent seasons. If they continue to develop they'll be a fine unit during conference play. Our D Line is hard to figure. We've seen great things from Suh and some good things from Crick, but I only recall one or two plays being made by either Pierre or Turner. I was expecting MUCH more from our ends. Maybe it's a scheme thing... ?
  6. Suh cannot play both sides all the time. The man will get worn down if he's in too much, and frankly, I'd rather have him in on defense rather than offense. Yeah, that was a pretty fun play last year where he scored, but it wasn't ever meant to be an everyday part of our offense.
  7. Not surprised at the way he characterizes the Huskers. Whatever. He wasn't a good fit here, and we weren't a good fit for him. No biggie. Good luck to him in the future, and here's hoping he puts that degree to good use.
  8. I will not rejoice in the discomfiture of others. This situation is just stupid and sad. I hope it clears up soon for you, Jayhawks.
  9. I must be the only one sad to see this? Sure, KU is "the enemy," but this kind of stuff isn't reflective of either program, or the school in general. They don't deserve this kind of stuff. Doesn't anyone remember all the times Huskers have had brushes with the law? And how crummy you felt about those? Isn't there any remorse for these guys?
  10. I was watching Bucky run for the Broncos Sunday. He looked really good. It's nice to see him healthy and productive. He's been in the NFL forever. I wonder if he's the most long-lived of our recent Huskers? Anyone know?
  11. I've not bothered to read the entire 3 pages, but I noticed this post and wondered. Are you talking about the TD or the long pass to set up the TD? Gotta be the long pass. Amukamara was on the WR who caught the TD, and it was decent coverage, too. Just a good play by the QB and WR.
  12. Can we please just let Lee play a few more games before we get into a debate of who's better?
  13. One wonders which bowl game you're talking about. In Nebraska's bowl game, O'Hanlon defensed what would have been the go-ahead TD with about 90 seconds to play.
  14. I've been hearing this a lot, and I don't buy it. VT is the 78th ranked offense (total offense) among the 120 1A schools. That's after playing the #3 ranked defense (Alabama) and the #38 ranked defense (Nebraska). To put that in context, after playing far weaker defenses, Colorado is right behind VT at #79. FAU is #82 and Baylor is #98 (total offense). That's after playing nobody. VT is 44th in scoring offense, Virginia Tech's offense is decent. They're not great, but they're not horrible, either. They'll put up some better numbers when ACC play gets in full swing. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll end up somewhere in the mid 50s. That's decent.
  15. This logic makes sense if you're a Boise State fan. However, the Big 12 Champion more than likely plays in the NC game. We don't need to root for anyone. All we need to do is win the games. That has only happened in five of the twelve years of the BCS, though. And with parity being enforced with the scholly limits, undefeated teams are becoming more and more rare. And the more losses on your record, the more you have to rely on a favorable opinion of the pollsters, and the best way to do that is to be top-ranked teams. Or teams that are as highly ranked as possible.
  16. No, sir. rcruter is a Missouri fan, and darned proud of it.
  17. But, I AM anti-SI, and I explained why in my first post. They are artificially generating controversy, intentionally, to sell their product. They do this time and again, as does ESPN, USAToday, CNN in general, etc. This is the nature of the modern media. News is a product which they sell, and controversy sells news. So... it IS that particular website, and that IS your reason. The controversy they generate to sell their product has nothing to do with whether they hate us or not, and frankly I don't care if they do. I don't agree that a "SI hates us" conversation was imminent, but who knows. Probably would have been better to play that out rather than go off on a tangent ahead of time, but whatever. And as for your apology, it's accepted, but not needed. You're cool, and if you want to put me on your ignore list that's cool, too. It's not like I say anything that's must-read, anyway.
  18. I agree with this analogy. Bo is in a position where he can be a "knob" to the media and they just have to take it. I would like it if he would refrain from using that ability and treat the media with respect, but he either doesn't want to or he slips up time and again. Either way, I'm still glad he's on our side.
  19. As a 1,897,000th part of the fan base, I do not agree with this assessment. by writer I think he meant Tom Shatel...in which case that is certainly his job. I am disagreeing with the underlined.
  20. OK, maybe I need to take Reading Comprehension 101 again, because that's not even close to what I got out of the fact that he quoted me when he said this.
