  1. Yeah, it was more of a joke than anything else. He's become much more vocal on twitter after the new coaching staff arrived. Self motivation stuff mostly.
  2. Hoping he retains Parella, K and D Williams.
  3. Heard on the radio yesterday that a current recruit, a "good get", reaching out to Nate Clouse with questions about Scott Frost. Anyone know who that might've been?
  4. I was very impressed by a couple of his passes to Hoppes, especially the one where he was facemasked. What I was most impressed with was his leadership towards DPE. DPE made a critical drop, I think in the red zone. Lee made a point to reassure him, multiple times, then came right back to him the next series. DPE eventually made an incredible catch on the sideline with a defender draped all over him.
  5. Fun and relaxed atmosphere. Super cheap tickets, so I buy 20 and make sure to bring people who normally wouldn't want the circus of a real game day.
  6. Whatever happened to the offer/interest we had in JUCO Isaiah Johnson (http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/78707-juco-dt-isaiah-johnson/)? Conversation in that thread stopped in May and can't find any recent news elsewhere.
  7. Reading their new team's translated news release. Congrats to Kadie and Amber on their new careers!
  8. i agree with what you say regarding our tackles, although i think the key is Gates. i was not that impressed with Knevel even when he was healthy, so having a bad ankle doesn't create a huge drop off. also, if they are able to run at will against our defense early and dominate the line of scrimmage then i think we get boat run like the Huskers last game in madison. I don't see this team getting shelled like '14. I agree on Gates. He's incredible when healthy. Lot of fun watching him finish blocks. I think I heard he's feeling better than he has in weeks too.
  9. I think we'll find out pretty early how this game is going to go by watching our OTs, Knevel and Gates. If they're still hobbled like they were against Purdue, I don't see us doing many good things offensively. We may get a chunk play here or there in the passing game, but without a running game, not sure we can put many points on the board. I can see a 21-17 type final score, either way, but have to give the edge to Wisconsin.
  10. Really liked his hustle and motor in his highlight videos. Made plenty of plays, sure, but he's that disruptive force in the middle you like to see from a DT. Pretty intense dude. Great get for Parella.
  11. Wish Eno had his own thread. Hate posting his updates in another recruit's thread. Not sure this matters much, maybe it does for a HS kid, but his twitter bio includes #3stripeLife. Not sure when he added that, before or after his decommitment from Iowa. Iowa is a Nike school. Some are speculating he's a Michigan lean, but Michigan is a Nike school now as well. Again, not sure how much that matters, but maybe it does for a recruit. Arizona State is an Adidas school, and, obviously, so is Nebraska.
  12. Brandon Cavanaugh ‏@eightlaces 3m3 minutes ago Time to trip some #Huskers fans out. A Mike Riley offer: Wilmington, DE LB Avery Roberts...class of '17. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3012571/highlights/193618376 …
  13. I hope he lands in Michigan as well, but mostly because I think he'd only be briefly successful. Look how he's coached his current Niner team. Completely mismanaging the position he's supposed to know. It worked at Stanford, because he had a great pocket passer in Luck. What happens when that QB isn't on the roster? There aren't many like them out there. His offense completely folds. He's super stubborn, wants things a certain way and will force his team to be uncomfortable at the expense of his stubbornness. Kap is arguably the most athletic QB in the NFL, yet it's been engrained in his brain that he's a complete pocket passer. Can't take off. Would have had many first downs and more today if he had. Defenses no longer respect that aspect of the Niner offense. And I think he's neglected the OL or possibly is just mismanaging it. Either way, not a recipe for long term success. Harbaugh isn't the gem so many think he is.
  14. Teams having to choose who to double team is a nice luxury to have on that line. There shouldn't be much room to run the next couple years. Exactly. You have to double team VV. It appears that Clinksales could be much the same. That doesn't leave many to help out on Gregory or Moss. Or Brown. Dude could average 13 tackles next couple seasons. Brown? Doh! Rose.

  17. Tommy, no question. As our likely QB in the near future, it makes far more sense. Especially against a lesser opponent. No disrespect to SDSU, I think they'll give us some trouble., but should still walk out with a W.
  18. He's just answering questions.
  19. He shouldn't have went off like that, obviously. All coaches have, however, just not with the mic on. Bo is guilty of poor judgement in this instance. Honestly, the fans at that game that he's referring to deserved this. They are not the same fans that have been selling out the stadium since the 60s. The biggest joke in all this is the coward who hung onto this audio for two years and drop it now.
