That, and we lacked a real deep threat WR, so opposing defenses didn't have to respect that threat much and could load up to stop the run more.

Love reading headlines after games like this, talking about the losing team's 'comeback attempt'. It's like... this game was over by halftime. SF scored as many points in one quarter as GB did the whole game. There was no comeback attempt, only an attempt to make the final score less embarrassing.

What sticks out to me is that this was announced without Walters announcing that he's taking another job. I can't imagine that he'd just up and quit without having another job secured, so either this was not an entirely voluntary separation, or he's secretly taken a position that hasn't been announced publicly yet. If it's the latter, I can't imagine it being a college job - the season's over, nobody's hiding anything. Could he be taking an NFL job, and if so, where?
