  1. If Sims wasn't healthy enough, Purdy would've went in for that one snap after HH lost his helmet.
  2. Yeah, that's something I think a lot are overlooking: the OL's run blocking really hasn't been too bad. But on pass blocking, a couple guys have some glaring issues. Especially Corcoran, he's been alright at run blocking, but his pass blocking is yikes. Hopefully Teddy will be taking over LT at some point, and maybe Corc can slide inside.
  3. Yep. But TBH, the rest of the schedule isn't that scary. After Michigan we've got Illinois who has the same record we do - not easy but not impossible. Then we've got probably three of the four worst teams in the conference in a row (Northwestern, Purdue, Michigan State). Then Maryland, who's 4-0 but against hella crappy teams. Then it's just Wisconsin and Iowa - both pretty good but with some flaws. Think we can find four wins out of that group? Of course, more injuries could change the picture in a hurry...
  4. As many glaring problems as there are right now, one thing that gives me some hope about Satt & Rhule is that they're not really trying to force things in the passing game that ain't happening right now. Problem is, that kind of offense ain't gonna work too well against Meatchicken. If Haarberg is in, they'll have zero respect for the deep ball, and even with Sims it's still not exactly a strength.
  5. For anyone not aware... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Glitter#Sexual_offences
  6. Does it make sense for Wisconsin to Jump Around? Do you think anyone cares? I Won't Back Down makes sense for Florida - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers being from Gainesville - but that's probably about it.
  7. @GSG Maybe let's skip the Gary Glitter...
  8. Could be. That's the 'nice' reading. But not the only possibility. Could be something more like "enthusiastically encouraged to pursue other opportunities". I mean obviously Rhule came in and did a lot of housecleaning, do you honestly think all of them were voluntary?

    Sims vs HH

Too many of you didn't learn your lesson from McCaffrey Mania and it shows...

    Sims vs HH

Boston College is a team that should be in a G5 conference...
  11. Yep. And soon we'll probably be playing a converted WR again.
  12. Exactly half as many passing yards as his last trip to Memorial Stadium.

    Sims vs HH

I'd have Sims in, but keep him on a short leash. If he can settle down a little, he's the better QB. But of course, nothing in the game wipes out a player's (or a team's) advantages faster than turnovers...
  14. Frost recruited talent just fine, it's the retention (especially at WR) and development parts that he was godawful at.
  15. Let's get our transitive property on! Tonight we beat Northern Illinois. Northern Illinois beat Boston College two weeks ago. Tonight, #3 Florida State squeaked by Boston College 31-29. Guys, I think we've got a shot against Florida State!
  16. Obviously we're a better rushing team than passing at the moment, and Rhule & Satterfield at least for one game were willing to stick with it for the most part. We'll see if that holds up in the future. Haarberg with just one turnover that really wasn't his fault (blindsided by an unblocked defender). It's not an explosive offense, but with this defense it might not need to be.
  17. To expand on the above, Sims is mismatched for any offensive coordinator.
  18. This is basically a transitional year. The Iowa game is the only one that will be on NBC this year, but next year there will be more.
