  1. I usually stay out of this board, but since I happened to notice the thread title...
  2. He actually meant Walter Camp. Common misunderstanding.
  3. Not happening. Even if we won out and managed to sneak into a bowl and win it, we ain't gonna be ranked in the preseason. Maybe receiving a a few votes, but that's about it.
  4. @MyBloodIsRed16 Out of that top ten list, Aliens would be #1 in my heart, followed by Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
  5. @teachercd Wikipedia says sixth-highest of 1986. Not even highest-grossing comedy (that was Crocodile Dundee). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_films_of_1986#Highest-grossing_films
  6. I'm sure there's lots of players who lived through the Riley era who feel the same way. This was DPE when Frost was hired:
  7. I sort of wonder how things might have been different if Ohio State had only had 1 week to prepare instead of two. Anybody have any stats on how teams tend to fare coming off of a bye week vs when they're not?
  8. That even though we have some tough games left on the schedule, there's absolutely no one that this team should be afraid of.
  9. 2.3 ypc today. He's shown flashes, and I'm sure he'll improve with time, but the offense is just a lot more consistent when Ozigbo is in.
  10. He's actually talking about the town of Missouri, Washington.
  11. You also posted this thread to the wrong board, it belongs in the lounge.
  12. The language kinda depends: what kind of game do you want to make, and for what platform(s)?
  13. ^ That's not a meme, that's just Family Guy recycling a GIF from five years ago (yet again).
  14. @Husker03 Apparently the 'structure and guidance' that they think young coaches need includes telling them not to call a kid a pu&&y when he's lying on the field dying in front of you...
  15. Here's what he said about that just the other day: "Their season has been a little bit surprising to me with how well they've done but that's not a big thing for me. I'm trying to find the best fit for me. The record or the season this year doesn't have a whole lot to do with that."
  16. Sounds like there's been some power struggles between the president and the board of regents before this, too, like when Loh renamed their stadium: https://247sports.com/college/maryland/Bolt/Loh-Recommends-Renaming-Byrd-Stadium-as-Maryland-Stadium-41829005/ A bit on the MD governor's relations with the board of regents: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/politics/bs-md-hogan-rebukes-regents-20181031-story.html?fbclid=IwAR0WN4Ftt7I2oMvkSnQHlvNZa7EI37nXFAYJq1FdjfSMztIu8jw0k2W9R0U
  17. Has there been any word on exactly WTF the regents were thinking? Only reason I can think of is just financial. They're not firing him 'for cause' - the board's recommendation probably made that impossible, at least not without an ugly lawsuit. They'll owe him $5.53 million. Plus a lawsuit from the kid's family is probably coming soon. This is probably going to end up costing them more than if they'd just done the right thing in the first place. And remember that Maryland got a front-loaded deal when they joined the Big Ten - they got a big payday when they first joined in exchange for a longer period of not receiving a full cut of conference revenue. Their overall 2016-17 revenue was second from the bottom in the conference: http://www.dbknews.com/2018/07/07/maryland-athletic-department-revenue-big-ten-tv-contract-payout-ticket-sales-donations/
  18. Some heads soon to roll on their Board of Regents?
  19. MRW I see this thread: They're gone. Good riddance. Let it go.
  20. @TheGainfulHusker He said it in his quote about Kentucky, but it sounded like it applied to all schools.
