  1. IF Texas doesn't win the South (BU is ahead of TTech as I type) three of the four teams that beat us are going to their conference championship game. VaTech, Mizzery (especially today ) and either OU or TTech
  2. Funny you should say this. My son just asked me who I was rooting for as I sit here typing this on the couch. I told him FSU because out of the two teams that I really despise, I want to see another upset! When my son used to ask me who I was rooting for, and the game had no impact on NU, I would always wryly answer "The refs" This year that might be legit
  3. Are inviting us to a CU recruiting trip? Drugs and hookers?
  4. What do you have against Montana State?
  5. Yes we lose the tie breaker, but if KU prevails, shouldn't we be (dare I say entitled to be) co-champs along with Booger's team?
  6. If you look close enough, I think you can see the tears running down Hawkin's face By the way, how Steinkuhler was able to remove his helmet and we not get penalized I'll never know And the ref on the left signaling TD was looking right at him
  7. Meh.... By the way, feel free to name another team in the north to know, as you put it...true greatness.....I direct you to your empty trophy case to try and refute that. As for this year, you may have scoreboard, but we have.... -improvement as 2008 went on -tradition -a college football atmosphere that is better when our University is successful -the potential for a 9 win season that feels good for the first time in awhile -a history of greatness, not some great years behind two great Qb's But hey its all good. At least Columbia isn't an armpit...... You're right, it's not anywhere near as bad as Stincoln... I have an idea. On December 6th, you can go to Lincoln and stare at the trophy case for three or four hours. It seems to be at the center of the Husker universe, the floating piece of timber you cling to as you drift in a sea of irrelevance. Call me crazy, but I always thought the action was on the field. Anyway, while you're at it you might also want to polish that most recent crystal football - it has 11 years worth of dust on it. I on the other hand will don my black and gold, go to Arrowhead and yell like a maniac for my team as they take the field to hopefully secure a BCS bid. Win or lose, I think I'll have the better time. "Husker Nation: Eight-track Lovers in an MP3 World..." One word - - Booger!!!!
  8. A boat load of injuries
  9. Ah and just how sweet would it be if we play Free Shoes U and beat Grandpa Bowden and send him on his retirement with a Husker loss? The commentators of the WV-Pitt game seemed to think that Pitt might be going to the Gator
  10. Henery is a hero . . . but didn't he kinda run out of the way of the CU player on the fake FG? If he would have run into him he wouldn't catch the ball or at least score the TD, the D holds and at the point of Ganz's sack we would be leading 30 - 24?
  11. On the positive side . . . a win without having the "A" game going. Or "B". Or "C"
  12. Like what was said - pro-style. Good arm. Rugged against LSU in National champion #1 he willed himself to stretch across the goal line for the winning TD. TO was the first to do a "spread" offense: two split ends, JR in the slot, Kinney in the other slot, but the FB would be down in 3pt stance and Tagge under center. Revolutionary at the time
  13. I agree about the unbalanced schedule. I propose division champ be determined by: 1) within division 2) common opponents from other division 3) overall conf schedule 4) average game attendance
  14. I did. Oops 0-3 KU - 59 points, Texas, TTech, OU 143 points
  15. Do the words "Ward Churchill" mean anything to you? BTW I googled "University of Colorado" "Academic fraud" and got 2400 hits but "University of Nebraska" "Academic fraud" and got 589 hits That's like more
  16. Yes Now we don't have to contend with Colorado unilaterally declaring us their rival
  17. ESPN.com article on the Wyoming job: (The Dash knows that John L. Smith and Missouri offensive coordinator Dave Christensen are involved at Wyoming -- and have been since before Joe Glenn was fired this week.) Linky I would say Gilmore would be #3 on this list. Former head coach, OC of a prolific offense, recievers coach/alum But I am no aquarium guy
  18. Right. Its over half a year for players from all schools to go pro early, get injured, get arrested, get caught with 'roids, see greener pastures at other schools, etc, etc, etc.
  19. Except during traffic stops
  20. Let me be the first to say: "SIT DOWN"
  21. Wow underselling KU and MU a bit aren't they? Yes. This guy suckles at the teats of Bill Snyder. He was also slobbering over how he "revolutionized" college football by scheduling more cream puffs than Mangino can eat in one sitting. Bleah - this is the WORST thing to happen in recent memory. I almost drove into the ditch.
  22. One of the radio talking heads (and K-Satan alum) on KC radio proposed: 1) ALL of the upgrades Prince did on the OOC are out the door, possible exception UCLA due to contract 2) Except for NU, ALL north division are definitely winnable, so 4 OOC + 4 North division + A&M = 9 win season!
  23. Did you hear that KSU is going green? They are recycling old coaches!!!
  24. Gator is NOT getting the Irish. Notre Dumb is bowl eligible, and therefore will take their rightful place in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! !!!!!
