  1. Not going to lie, gameday in Madison is insane. City-wide, it's a much better experience than Lincoln. In Camp Randall it is at least comparable. Plus it's a fairly short drive (7-hours) so you can trip up there after a half-day on Friday and make it for a Saturday kick-off.
  2. And Ball is a stud. So good they gave him time behind two backs who could play for pretty much any team in the country and see time.
  3. I had some row 5 seats in east on about the 20 yard line that were some of the most fun seats I ever attended a game in. It happened to be the Oklahoma game where Crouch caught a TD, but regardless the view and being close to the action for once was neat. Usually have great viewing seats up under the overhang out of the rain and I preferred it more down below.
  4. Actually you are wrong, the "peso" is not 8 cents. There are many countries which use a peso currency. Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and the Phillipines. The Uruguayan Peso is actually essentially a nickel. For the sake of being literal, naturally.
  5. My cat drops some real bombs my dogs were never capable of doing
  6. It all came about when people found out his name isn't Gomes, it's Gomez.
  7. You forgot about Qvale which I think is seriously overlooking someone who will play significant snaps this year. Other than this, it's pretty much a summary of any given thread about the team on these boards. This equates to: not bad.
  8. I'm fairly certain most big programs have offers out to the 20 guys we do
  9. Brandon Jackson will end up a higher draft pick than Helu in the end as well. He's a much more dynamic back than Helu is. Helu is just your run of the mill good solid back with decent fundamentals and enough speed to make things happen. I think Brandon Jackson had a lot more in terms of moves and was able to make more out of what he was given. He also appeared to be better catching the ball out of the backfield.
  10. Bill doesn't really affect me so the nitty gritty is not important to me. However, living in a country with socialized healthcare (state owned hospitals, the whole works) I have a unique perspective on the ramifications. People are too worried
  11. Thats the first time i have ever heard that. He has an autoimmune disease which attacks his joints. He'll be on meds for the rest of his life. It caused him to be sore and lose his athleticism for a while. I'm fairly certain he dropped like 20 pounds based on the older articles during the time he was dealing with getting it under control. Even if it was 15, that's a lot of lifting/conditioning to get back up to the size you want for D1 competition. Especially when you are behind two guys like Crick and Suh.
  12. Nexus is really just an algorithm wrapped in an enigma
  13. Does no one remember that Baker had health issues that caused him to lose a boatload of muscle and weight? I'm not worried about this kid not showing up until now, we're lucky he got it under control and we might see some production out of him at all.
  14. I live in a country with Socialized Health Care. Quite frankly, it's not a bad system. You pay in to ZUS if you feel like it, and then you get coverage for any big-ticket items although you have to wait. It's a nice safety net for if you fall chronically ill. At the same time, it makes health coverage through private companies and private hospitals more efficient and more affordable. I can get great service including all surgeries for 75 bucks a month.
  15. Dude is 305 and has insane strength and speed right now. Does he really need a year's worth of conditioning?
  16. Maybe he should have stuck with baseball, football belongs in cold weather
  17. When my father was interviewing for a position with the University I got a tour done by someone outside the Athletic department. The stadium is fairly accessible though, we used to just go in the south entrance into the football offices, take the elevator down and walk past the field to the Hewitt when we were students.
  18. Even better, I owned the house closest to the stadium (0.9 miles) and am now living 2nd farthest (5010 miles)
  19. The house I owned was 0.9 miles from the stadium. I sold it a few months ago.
  20. Yes, Bradford was listed as the #1 pick. I think it is the general consensus that as he gets healthier and healthier the Rams will find they need to pick him. It's understandable from the Rams' draft history and present needs, but I'm not sold on Bradford after this season's performance.
  21. I'm hoping we can merge a lot of the clutter into one substantial draft thread so we don't have to poke around looking for people talking about the information out there. The newest mock draft off of ESPN Insider had some fodder for a lot of you. McShay states that "McCoy is the best pass-rushing defensive tackle in this class." Claims he has some 'relentless pursuit' unlike some tackles who chase down quarterbacks after they are past the line of scrimmage as well as behind. Still, both Experts list him as the #2 pick and think that the Rams can't afford to take another defensive line prospect after Carricker and Long because they need the QB too badly.
  22. I'd imagine this staff with it's high-character approach may have already promised him a spot and may not back out of that obligation.
