  1. I don't know why you do. It must be your ugly face. Heard the same thing about your mother
  2. So you do believe the part about Barnett's grandfather calling in favors to get his grandson out of this? I've been to Maryville probably a dozen times as I had a lot of friends down there but I'm not privy to the dynamics of the town. I do. There were some very shady things that happened around town during my years there. Lots of talk about the DA and public defender working together to screw over students. And I do know of two cases where people guilty of crimes got off because of who they were related to or because of what they do. Full on witnesses, no doubt about it stuff and either they were never arrested or all charges were dropped.
  3. Sorry Q....I forgot to add the smiling winking face guy. And E, this is very sad. But I personally am glad its getting national attention. As I said before maryville is a corupt little town. And many high ranking people there deserve the hammer.
  4. well Maryville is full of nebraskans. Maybe that's why their athorities run the town similar to those in lincoln when it come to athletes. Probably learned it from grandpa tom. And any crack from Nebraska on Missouri is just funny. As if this state has it gonna on and isn't full of issues.
  5. you are just beyond saving. What the #$@& does this have to di with mizzou. It doesn't even have a damn thing to do with northwest missouri state that is located in maryville. This is a corrupt small town that has been corrupt for years. Maryville is a backwards ass town and as dirty as any place I have ever lived. Extremely sad, but not too surprising for maryville. Also not surprising that some husker tard would try and make a mizzou comment or connection. Fyi nuance, nikko jenkins was a husker fan. Franklin child prostitution ring members were season tickets holders and doners. unl
  6. The jury is still out on Missouri but TAMU has played better football since joining the SEC vs the Big 12. Playing with players who were recruited by Tim Cassidy and Mike Sherman. I really see Sumlin and Bo in the same spots their second years. Except Sumlin was actually handed more top to bottom talent than Bo was due to the recruiting structure put in place by the two names mentioned above. that and Johnny Football.
  7. We were a team full of sophomores in 20111. And a mash unit last season. Damn near 3/4 of our offensive starters missed most of if not all the season. The sec has nothing to do with our situation other than playing better teams. This years mzzou squad would roll in the big12. And frankly, given that the big10 is so weak, Nebraska could help themselves by playing tougher teams than they currently do. And when they do have a great opponent, by not getting hammered. Nebraska would receive a HUGE benefit of the doubt if they had more than 1 or 2 quality wins. Almost all of us felt the b10 was weak before the move. And I understand that it's hard to build a schedule in a few years. But Nebraska is already making moves to overcome their conference weekness. The Oregon series is the type of games that give you the benefit of tough wins & close losses.
  8. 2012....but yeah it had been a while. truth be told I did. hey now! You know it was a toss up between ILovegettingPinkel'd & BradSmithsLoveChild
  9. Ranked #31 % by the computers this week. Still might have some work to do with you light schedule. But as always, it also depends on what the teams ahead of Nebraska do as well
  10. big win for my tigers.but very very costly. hearing franklin may miss the rest of the season. we just can't have nice things....

    1. deedsker

      deedsker

yeah, you could have beat georgia without sacrificing Franklin so it is all that much more costly

  11. That is the question. But there is no rock hard answer. What I have seen in my 8 years here. ..that answer would be no. Seeing the reactions and sulking during 9 & 10 win seasons is pathetic. Try 18 years of crappy football. Watching areas or damn near the entire stadium clear out during different games tells a lot about certain fans. The majority of nu fans are good fans who love their team no matter what. Put there is still a good size chunk who are in to fit in or for the wins. Maybe a few bad seasons would weed out the husker fans that real husker fans hate
  12. Because the Big Ten aren't a bunch of cheating, myopic whores? Remind me again which conference has multiple teams on probation. ..
  13. That is fantastic. Props to him and his friend. Wish more people would step up when they are given the opportunity
  14. If I had to make a criticism of the SEC's non-conference schedules, it's that they play 1 or 2 great opponents, then the rest are joke schools. They also use leverage that their conference schedule is difficult to help say that they have played an extremely tough schedule. Its used for tv. But on the note of playin lower teams in Nov. Would you rather Nebraska have to play a conference game right off the bat, sometimes in that first game or play your gimmies to warm up. Also most play 3-4 great schools in conference.. Both the east and west have 3 high level teams. Plus nearly every elite SEC school has a major BCS rival they play every year. Just like in the b10 your cross games can make you look better than you are (vandy) who avoided the big 3 in the west. Or you can catch 2 of the three best.

  16. Thats right! If they arnt worried about things that happed 4,5 or 6 years ago, you can bet they dont give two poos about things that happened 17 years ago And if they dont care about things that have happened, they you know they dont care about things that have not happened. Yeah us!!
  17. I think you left out something that is very telling and goes against everything most fans claim
  18. I am sure alot of it had to do wih actually playing. Malzahn adds something that some of the others didnt. But frankly if the kid felt like he was the first option at Mizzou or NE this would have ended differently. But as it is, he most likely would have been a career bench guy at Mizzou. We offer and ussually take guys like him every few years to add to depth. You guys said that he was not the first option for NE. And that you might have even cooled on accepting a verbal. If thats the case with you guys, and knowing who we already have on roster and have for this class, then I have no doubt that its about playing for Malzahn, or just being a guy somewhere else.
  19. Enought about how everyone thinks MU sucks and cant win Back to the kid, Hannon. Should be a good one huh?
  20. Not trying to hijack the thread here but, My question would be this then, how many games do you see them winning normally? And I am guessing that you believe that the SEC is just clearly that much tougher than any other conference. I only ask because you said you see them winning that many once every 5-6 years. Mizzou has won that many or more every year for the last 6 seasons and 8 was recently the low mark only on the 3 seasons where they started a new QB who was a true Soph. They have increased the talent they have taken every year and the depth has improved leaps since the start of that run. Also I am assuming that you believe that if NE was in the SEC they also would be a 5-6-7 win team and once every 5-6 years reach 8-10 wins? Yes the SEC is that much better than B12. But also in MU's best years they either had the favorable home games or didn't have to play the best teams. They also only excelled win the teams in the North were down and going through coaching transitions that had teams overhauled majorly. KU, KSU, NU, Colorado and ISU all flipped multiple coaches in those years. To state that didn't play a large role in GP success would be dishonest. I also think many of his teams under performed compared to the talent they recruited. I think you give those guys to most coaches who've been at a school that long and they do better. I think GP is a bit overated as a coach. That being said I don't think MU can do much better either. The good news is I don't think GP is afraid to lie or cheat a little if he knows he can get away with it so he'll make some progress in the SEC. But I just don't see him beating LSU, FL, USC, Bama, but once in a Blue Moon. 50/50 games will be Arky, Georgia, ATM, Old Miss, Auburn, and Tenn. I see them beating Kentucky, Vandy, and MIss State regularly. As far as us, I think NU actually would match up better in the SEC than it did moving to the B10 defense wise as well as offensive wise as we had started to recruit the smaller faster guys at the skilled positions. I think we would probably have still been no better than 4 or 5th in that conference and thats if we really played our best ball every single game. Last year we may have been the 6th or 7th best team. I however will put our coachs up again MU's crew and know that our set backs would be few and they'd actually learn to adjust to the conference in a very short time. H Well thats quite scary considering the big12 is really that much better than the big10.... you guys would have to make a double jump up. #1 Frankly you know very little about MU which is clear by some of the statements you made. Mu never missed any big dogs on the rotating south swing. They played either OU, TT and ATM or TX, OSU and Baylor. Meaning they playing either of the top 2 teams and the next 2 best every season. They won double digit games against both sets of schedules. #2 To say mu's got rich off the poor or bad would not totally be true. But I could say that if your willing to say the same about huskers during their great runs in which the majority of the big8/big12 was dog sh*&. #3 You obviously think GP sucks. well he has done well against a number of other coaches people think are pretty good. Is he nick saben? no, but he no slub either #4 You dont think we can beat LSU, FL, USC, Bama, but once in a Blue Moon. Well again, we only play bama and lsu once every 6 years and never together. You think 50/50 games will be Arky, Georgia, ATM, Old Miss, Auburn, and Tenn. Well we will play arky geo and tenn every year, the others only once every 6 and never together, (ATM by the way is a joke, GP owns the aggies home and away). And you see us beating beating Kentucky, Vandy, and MIss State regularly. Well we only play miss st once every 6, but get vandy and kent every year So according to you, out of the 8 conference games we have, 2 (vandy and kentucky) are sure wins 3 are 50/50 (Georgia, Tenn, Arky) and 2 are not likely (SC and FL) the other game just depends on who we got that year. So with no upsets we are 3-5 or 4-4 every year (7-8 wins every year with 4-0 noncon) So you basically have MU at 8 wins a year and 9 easy when they get the MISS schools 2 of every 6 years. Add in ATM to get 9 wins every 3 of 6. BTW I like how you how you say Georgia a team that has finished #23rd or better 13 of the last 15 years and had double digit wins 7 of the last 10 years is 50/50, yet SC, who finished in the polls for just the second time since 2001 and had just their 2nd double digit win total in their history is and "once in a blue moon" type of win.... Your CFB knowledge is just overflowing in your response. And FYI, Ne would finish about where MU would. So, there is always that...
  21. That game was tied at half and to say mizzou pooped it away is an understatment. That team also finished #4 in the nation that year. He has twice had teams ranked in the top 12 bcs in the final week. And frankly is you have qualified to be selected to a bsc game playing in one of the big 3 conferences I think your were a contender. And using all 11 years isnt really fair or unbiased considering what he had to start from. How about saying something like In the last 7 years of divisions he either won his division, tied for the lead or finished 1 game out 5 times. But that doesnt look as bad as twice in 11 years. you ever seen the recruits and the rankings those middle of the pack SEC teams get? Plus, we are the only Midwest SEC option. We are still as good as any area school or better for state of MO recruits and Mizzou now has a substantail draw in GA and FL. None to this point cause they havent played. But the thing for you to remember is just like the big10, the SEC has divisions. Mizzou will play LSU, BAMA, Auburn only one at a time and only once every 6 years. Yeah everyother year we have to go to the swamp, but every other year they have to come to COMO.
  22. There is not much to compare him against in those 30 seasons inbetween But when you honestly look at how many bad coaches and things were done before him and a team that had just two winning seasons in the 17 before he started, I sometimes think he doesnt get enough credit for all that he has done.
  23. Not trying to hijack the thread here but, My question would be this then, how many games do you see them winning normally? And I am guessing that you believe that the SEC is just clearly that much tougher than any other conference. I only ask because you said you see them winning that many once every 5-6 years. Also I am assuming that you believe that if NE was in the SEC they also would be a 5-6-7 win team and once every 5-6 years reach 8-10 wins? We'll find out soon enough. I think Pinkel's teams will struggle in the SEC. (So would Pelini's.) I just have trouble seeing them competing with the upper tier of the SEC. I'm trying to look at it objectively . . . but a team that never seriously contended for the Big 12 title will probably struggle against the elite SEC teams. To say never seriously contended is a bit of a stretch... And frankly 8 wins is very achievable with a 4-4, 5-3 conference record. Thats not really competing with the upper tier. infact saying they might compete upper tier once every 5-6 years is quite different then saying they might get to 8 wins every 5-6 years. GP might struggle, who knows. He is 9-2 agasint SEC teams while at Mizzou. Listen, I think Mizzou will be what they were. A decent to good team. That every once in a while has the right mix and makes a run at something a little more. but anyway
