  1. He was upset they were bringing him back too quickly or not quickly enough?
  2. With all due respect, I really have no idea what point(s) you're trying to get across here. Of course not. You're literally trying to make a point based on one player being a scholarship player and one coming in as a walk on.

  4. Besides screwing the kid over... It's also a terrible look to recruits. You only do this if it's your last option and Patrick is begging the coaches.
  5. No crow to eat here. Fyfe had a decent game against a team that couldn't get out its own way. He doesn't do that last week or next week. Sorry it is what it is. Don't you think, that just maybe, if your golden child Darlington was the second, or even third, best QB on the team, that he would be out there? Let alone still playing quarterback period? Honestly, it's probably the whole concussion concern on why Darlington hasn't seen meaningful snaps anywhere. Fyfe looked better than I figured he would on Saturday but that was against one of the worst defenses in the league. While it's a feel good story that a former walk on got to start and play on senior day, Fyfe isn't going to win us any games that we don't dominate in talent. At this point, you can't pull a redshirt from POB for one game, but I don't want to see a broken Fyfe play against Iowa. If our offense plays anything like they did in the second half of that maryland game then the Iowa defense is going to eat us alive. I'd rather see a healthy Darlington play in place of an injured Fyfe if Tommy can't go. It's truly a lose lose situation no matter what you do if Tommy is out again this week though. GBR Darlington switched to WR in the off-season. I don't think this has anything to do with concussions.

  7. I have also heard he broke his hand, pretty reliable sources. Left handy, so non throwing, but definitely a concern.
  8. Outside of Ohio state, I don't have an idea of our typical run/pass splits, but we were 45/37 today, not sure I would necessarily call that "run heavy"
  9. Because Fyfe played pretty well, or the fact that Darlington didn't play? I think it was very possible that Darlington would have played if Fyfe struggled early. The offense & Fyfe started out well, so there was no need for Darlington. Both. "anyone but fyfe" type comments littered across this board. Yeah Maryland is trash, but he served up a big glass of stfu to those "fans" today.
  10. This team will continue to be mediocre until we successfully put an offensive line on the field that is worth a sh#t.

  11. If Fyfe is given time he can throw the ball well. He also has a bit more elusiveness when guys arent forcing him out after two seconds. The offer size line needs to get its sh#t together. It's going to be a sad, sad world when we have a statue for a qb next year and our sacks allowed goes to the moon. So much is masked by Tommy's mobility.
  12. Cav is quickly approaching Bruce Read levels in my eyes. Some of the worst offensive line play I have ever seen.
  13. Do any of you have jobs or just the day off?
  14. 1st part pretty accurate. 2nd part is completely ridiculous. Get real guys. On both statements.
  15. Ah, the mythical Tom Brady 3rd string QB we have waiting in the depths. It was widely reported that POB wasn't the 2nd, or 3rd,best option we had a qb in the early half of the season. Now the wheels fall off and he is the second coming of Christ. Step away from the ledge. We are what we are and until we have an offensive line that can even get a hand on people it's not going to matter who is back there.
  16. Real nervous about this game. OSU has alot more ways to attack our defense than Wisconsin. We essentially had to focus just on the run game and we couldn't handle that.
  17. Penn state and Ohio state also vetoing. We are idiots of we don't do the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  18. I'm more concerned about what this does to recruiting. This basically eliminates a visit weekend.
  19. It's going to have to be Tommy. He better wear his track shoes, because he's going to be running for his life.
