Turn in your husker fan card immediately. I have only turned off the skers once in my life and it was last years USC game. I felt incredibily ashamed for doing it, but i couldnt take it anymore. As a fan i feel those guys are out there giving it there all for the fans and they have to suffer till the bitter end if we are getting pummelled, and i am going to watch it to the bitter end along with them. I too missed it because I was watching Tex/ TT......by choice. Now you can all tell me how great of fans you are and how I'm not.

Lots of good questions but it is really about 15 threads worth of discussion. If you think lining up out of position, dumb penalties, and missing tackles is killing us- think about what it is doing to the coaching staff. I think Bo says some of the things he does because he knows the team psyche behind the scenes. They sure do mess up a lot but they are playing hard. I think he gets away with some of this stuff now, because Callahan was so bad. I don't mind the way Bo talks to the press. I hated Callahan's smug condescending nothing is wrong here press conferences. In Bo's first year he will have a better record than Cally, with a tougher schedule, using players that quit last year. Yes, a 6-6 bowl team is better than a 5-7 debacle. I feel like something special is gonna happen with this staff. I never felt that way with the last staff. I tried to play along and believe we were really good enough to be ranked #14 last year but deep down, I didn't buy it. Maybe in 4 years we are all calling for Bo's head as well. oh, and no......that would do nothing to TO's legacy. At least not for me.

Not classless at all. If you don't like it stop someone. I think we beat them 69-7 one time in the 90's. Were we classless?

Husker x, What did you think was going to happen this year? Did you somehow miss all of last season? 7-5, said it in July, saying it in November. And I'm happy about it!! Means a bowl game and a chance to watch Pellini take what he's got and make them better. Bizarre to read threads dogging a team like these things are new....or a crisis even. I really didn't think we'd be a B12 or NC contender this year so getting whupped by teams that are isn't so rough.

Although maybe a little over the top- the original poster has a point. I intentionally stayed away from this board last night. The negativity when we lose is pretty severe. So is the husker on husker e-violence! I did kind of want to start a fake Fire Pellini thread just to see what people would do but I refrained.

Not really that surpirsed. I was a little surprised at how fast it was 28-0. I thought we'd get beat pretty bad but be competitive for a while. I do start srinking the kool-aid around Wed so by game time I was thinking upset but I got brought back to reality pretty quick.

I was gonna make a comment about JR needing an asterisk for armed robbery but someone beat me to it. I think it a great reward for a player who has been a stand up guy through coaching and culture changes. He's been a light in a few years of darkness. I also think his record will be broken many times in the next 10 years. Still a substantial feat..

OU= us playing hard but not a very close game KU= very beatable We should be able to handle the rest. 8-4 looks pretty realistic. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that we would go 8-4 I'd take it.

I agree with this ....in the 2nd half. We seemed to have taken a step back for busted coveragrs for a littel bit early in the game. I do like this defense. They are sooooo much more phyisical than last year and they had a great 2nd half. Kudos to O'Hanlon for the tackle on the reverse. I, like many others have been bagging on that kid.

I love this kid. I think his importance as a leader on the defense is crucial. I wish we could see what kind of linebacker he'd be with 2 or 3 more years at it. BTW- anyone notice that the starting line-up on the official stat sheets is Cody as the only LB with 4 CB's. I think the staff is using some of the younger faster CB's to play LB...kind of.

I think most of us thought ISU was the worst team in the B12. I also think most of us thought we would beat them. Who is Travis Justice? Is he as knowledgable as Kirk Herbstreet? Yep, we'll lose to OU. I think we have a shot with KU. CU? Have you watched them play? They're pretty stinky and have a minor QB controversy right now. Baylor is better than they have been but they are still Baylor. I'm guessing you started this post and didn't read the rest. We're a 7-5 team that is getting better every week. Reality OLDMAN. With our offense working like it is....being so effiicent...if they can keep this up, besides OU, I feel we can run the table. Our offense is keeping our defense off the field<our crutch. KU is a very tough team, but we get them at home. I agree with this. Yes we just beat a 2-5 team but we're supposed to...and we did. We beat them pretty badly. Where are all of the people that thought we might lose this game? The board was full of them in the last 3 weeks. Where are they now? We are a 7-5 team that may go 8-4. (and could slip to 6-6). Its what we've been all year but we are getting better each week as well.

Our head coach is a defensive genius. He'll know when it is time. What's the worst that can happen if he waits? The bar for a blackshirt is even higher than it used to be? Let em wait. They haven't played well enough yet....but they are getting better week to week.

A friend of mine and I call O'Hanlon Ricketts all the time. We called Shanle Ricketts for the last couple of years as well. In a sad sort of way Ricketts is legendary.

Yeah, we've got a game full of almost woulda/ coulda/ shoulda plays to look at. The penalites are getting pretty frustrating.

I really do believe that the Joe Ganz we saw last year is Joe Ganz. He can throw the ball all over the field, make plays with his feet, is a real battler.....and throws some really bad picks. 3 straight games with one now.

I must've fallen asleep and am dreaming.....I think I just saw a 3 and out. Did anyone else see that?
