  1. im pretty sure i climb the pecker of the plains and scream why tom, why? the whole way down.
  2. well i think they got that totally wrong, i think clemson wins by 2.2 points.
  3. it is the bain of my existence, and ill say the same thing i say everytime i hear people talking about this. its simple. we are nebraska. we are not wisconsin. but oh, whats wrong with a little change? with alternates? i think we all know how a 'little change' works out around here.
  4. i had a crap day at work, and have been strolling through the posts tonight with general disdain and ill intentions, until i saw this thread, and it was so obvious to me...i needed to lighten the eff up! thanks for the laugh. man, i was halfway lookin for someone to jump on and i still didnt pull the trigger...cause I READ THE WHOLE POST. we all screw up, but its always funniest when someone else does.
  5. theyre not exactly camo or anything. pretty hard to miss.
  6. theyre kinda touchy about that over on their own board. but yeah, those are bad. purple=hideous. orange=eh. purple with orange piping=3 year old with a box of crayons. that purple isnt so purple, either. it looks like theyre trying to be florida almost. maybe thats why florida went to the super shiny blue. had too many imitators.
  7. we'll sell them, or we wont. if we dont, i think it falls in the big XII commish lap. i bought my tickets last week where i could get them...the gator bowl website. i set aside time to plan my trip and be done with it, and because of some rule the big 12 has in place, whether its because of the BCS or whatever is regardless, i couldnt do that through our ticket office. i thought it was nice, albeit obviously conceding what they should have been doing all along, that they went ahead (when was it, on wednesday?) and started "unofficially officially" selling tickets. dont take this as me being bitter, just callin as i see em. that being said, we'll sell them. just like weve kept the sell out streak going on at memorial somehow
  8. Yeah where has Eushante Jones been. We were killing Alabama St. tonight and he didn't see any PT. We even played Nick Krenk for godsake! easy now, thats my cousin!
  9. interviewed for syracuse job per 1620 the zone
  10. heres what ill be doing in jacksonville....watching a football game. drinking beer. so i guess after looking at that list, i could hit the bud tour, or maybe the winery. but that would take time away from tailgating, so, eh, we'll see.
  11. www.tailgatersparking.com i picked up 2, seems like a good set up, and only $21 a spot, or $95 for rv+1 car.
  12. the big 12 is in this to win guys, holding off announcements is just to avoid having another kstate/a&m deal, which was freak situation...nebraskas going to the gator, dont think that the coaches havent been told who they can start preparing for. jeeez.
  13. ugh...all whites. we're not trying to be wisconsin trying to be us. i do like the all white pants with red socks. red tops of course though.
  14. that really puts a kick that length in perspective, eh? i mean, henery looks like a toy soldier out there compared to the field of battle.
  15. no way. those things are not even remotely cool. I do not consider them one of our uniforms. I hate them, theyre stupid, etc. i mean, its close enough with the other uni's, but when we wear those, all i see is a bunch of fat alvarez's running around in my head.
  16. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? since birth in 82, multiple people in the family have been season ticket holders since before "the streak" 2) What/who led you to The Nation? probably my great grandfather 3) Where are you from originally? union, ne 4) Where do you live now? union, ne...although i lived in texas and arizona for 5-6 years after high school. (Air Force, w00t w00t!) 5) Favorite Husker memory? Frazier Run Fiesta bowl...it was my christmas AND birthday present to go to that game with my dad. probably one of the top three days of my life. 6) Worst Husker memory? missed fg vs Fla St. i was like 11 and cried all night. i mean, i was a wreck. 7) Number of home games attended? 30+ 8) Number of away games attended? oh, 15 or so. ive been to every big 12 stadium except for mizzou and okie state for big red games 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? signed brook berringer poster, with a note on the back from his mom thanking me for a letter i sent after his death. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) section 33, row 12, seat 15 or 16. some of the grandparents season tix directly above the tunnel walk. i mean, DIRECTLY. 11) Favorite all time player? this is a tough one. toss up between mike brown and TD Tommie 12) WCO or Option? fullback up the gut. dont care from what set its ran from 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? hang em both 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Herbie 15) Favorite Husker play? bouncearooski. my uncle is mitch krenk. 16) Favorite game-day beverage? red beers. duh. 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) psychic powers of huskerdom
  17. i understand what you mean, i was thinking the same thing. just like the breaks in games like texas a couple years ago, ganz vomit vs ttech went the other way, etc. luck, talent, whatever you want to argue about it being, fact is, the tide has changed. and its probably some of both.
  18. i wish the announcers would let the friggin fake kick rule interpretation go. its getting old.
  19. i honestly think doc and his hardworking boys are going to suprise a lot of people this year...last year was fine with the big guy, but doc had to change what he does best to suit his #1 player(which i think anyone would have done, maric was a huge talent). this year i think hes got more of a team that fits his coaching style.
  20. the field house is always open, you can take a peak at the indoor practice facility and such. and you canwalk around the volleyball court and their trophy hallway. dont be shy, a dad with his two sons isnt gonna get the boot. now, if your on the sauce and try to run around the the fieldturf, youll probably be asked to leave. at least thats what this one friend told me... and if you find you want to do something non football related, you can take them through morrill hall. trust me, especially the 7 year old will get a kick out of it. wooly mammoths, sabre tooth tigers, etc. its like $3 to get in, and its right next to the stadium on the east side. http://www-museum.unl.edu/index.html
