  1. To make matters worse, our seats were the first row of the upper deck, the walkway was icy, and narrow, and the railing only came up about knee high. Knee High, eh? AS a Chiefs Season Ticket holder, I can say that for this to be true, you must be about 9 feet tall. We were in a weird corner section - not sure if that makes a difference or not, but I am not kidding or bs-ing here. Our section, the railings were very short and one bump would have ended someone.
  2. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that's exactly what happened.
  3. My dream match up for years has been Nebraska-Stanford. Please God, make that happen for me. I promise not to ask for anything else ever again.
  4. Yup. My heart, which is pounding out of my chest at the thought of watching the game tomorrow, says it's a Huskers win. My head, however, is giving me conflicting messages. So many reasons the Huskers should win, and so many reasons why they shouldn't.
  5. This. Absolutely detest Bielema, long before the Huskers joined the B1G. The word, "douche", comes to mind. Conversely, Fitzgerald oozes class, IMO.

  7. Under O/U - Number of times "walk on" is mentioned while talking about the O-line - 4
  8. I dont' think they went offsides - we just snapped it to Tierre Green who ran for a first down. That '06 Colorado game had a ton of trick plays. Everyone was upset that we emptied the playbook before Oklahoma. Ahh... gotcha. I couldn't actually remember how the 1st down occurred, so I assumed the D was confused and moved or something or other, but now that makes sense.
  9. Had to look it up out of curiosity -- looks like he was 3/4, and 3 TD's. http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/playerDetail.jsp?yr=2012&org=463&player=22
  10. I still love in 2006 v Colorado. It was 4th & less than 5, and Zac Taylor walked toward the sidelines as if he had just called a time out, but he was really the "man in motion". Fooled CU into going offsides. First down Huskers!
  11. Decided to take stats from only common opponents as well as the first WI/NU game. Some things kind of jumped out at me when comparing games against each other as well as OSU, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Penn State. Offensively: Yards per rushing attempt (not the NET), Wisconsin = 4.38, NU = 5.7. Using the NET yards in the equation, Wisconsin's average drops to 3.36, with NU at just over 5. Yards per game between all the common opponents: Wisconsin: 327, Nebraska: 446 Rushing/Passing TD's: Wisconsin - 15, Nebraska 19 First Downs: Wisconsin - 87, Nebraska - 114 Turnovers (ugh): Wisconsin 3, Nebraska 13. OUCHIE OUCHIE OUCHIE!! Penalties ... Wisconsin 13-135, Nebraska 36-319 Another OUCHIE OUCHIE OUCHIE!! Points: Wisconsin 113 (22.6 avg), Nebraska 166 (33.2 avg) Now defensively... Rushing yards per attempt: Wisconsin 4.38, Nebraska 5.14 (using NET yards per attempt - Wisconsin 3.78 per, Nebraska 4.63) Average yards allowed per common opponent: Wisconsin 312, Nebraska 344 Rushing/Passing TD's allowed: Wisconsin 11 (only 4 are rushing TD's), Nebraska 18 (14 rushing TD's given up!!) First Downs: Wisconsin 88, Nebraska 84 Turnovers: Wisconsin 5, Nebraska 9 Points: Wisconsin 104 (20.8 avg), Nebraska 151 (30.2 avg - damn you Ohio State game!) What's all this tellin' me? Nothing really (except our offense is better than theirs on paper, and their defense better than ours on paper), but the turnovers and penalties are far more glaring when the numbers are in full view.
  12. Watch for ref fist pumps after Husker scores.
  13. Whatever his game plan was, it was masterful. Unless there's a repeat on Friday.
  14. Excellent - I feel better already! I have yet to see CFN make predictions that amount to anything at all, and often wondered from past years predictions what they were smoking.
  15. This is surprising, considering he has been a little inconsistent at times this year. Better as of late, but there's still part of me that wonders if a punt will go 10 or 60 yards, and a chip shot field goal is within range. Still, wouldn't trade him for anyone else in the B1G right now.
  16. I was thinking this the other day, too, and hoped that the refs wouldn't be biased against one team or the other to ensure the "better looking on paper" team goes to the desired location. I guess we'll know after 59:59 minutes have been played. I know the B1G refs are bad, but hopefully not also biased in some way.
  17. What the heck - why didn't they go for a field goal and do an onside kick? Poor poor decisions at the end of this game. Hats off to Notre Dame.
  18. Notre Dame doing their best to give this one away.
  19. Can you go to the grammar rodeo for a few weeks before coming back? I can't figure out what you're saying. I will translate: Look, if the Huskers have 0 turnovers or 25, if they lose to a 7-5 team, he/she's inclined to burn everything he/she owns with a Nebraska logo, since Wisconsin (cheesy) is offensively inept.
  20. I want Notre Dame to win because I don't want another year of SEC-SEC in the championship game. Plus, Kiffin is a snot-nosed punk so USC losing would be icing on the cake for me.
  21. Perhaps I should even rephrase it as -- last time the Huskers won a conference game at night, away from home.
  22. I think everyone can agree that the Huskers have to stop the run, or at least minimize it. Do the Huskers have the "horses" to do it? Run defense... not a strength. Ranked 77th in the country, and only ahead of three teams in the conference (Illinois, Purdue and Indiana).
  23. The asterisk means, "didn't cheat or back their way into the championship game"... I'm ok with it. not sure i would call what either psu or osu did as 'cheating'. and whatever the asterisk means, some people will be reluctant to fully accept the championship. Then why aren't they allowed to participate? The Huskers earned the right to play the game, as they won their division. I will worry about perception only after they actually win it. Honestly, I think if Wisconsin wins next week, that's a bigger asterisk than if the Huskers win.
