Is the "Go (bump), Big (set), RED! (spike) chant new? I'll admit I don't really watch Husker VB that much, but that distracted me as just a viewer. I can't imagine how nuts that would drive me if I was playing.

  Many/Most other programs have similar chants for bump-set-spike. It is in no way unique to Nebraska. Even my daughter's high school team the fans/students would do it. I've asked her about it and she didn't even realize it was going on. It's not a distraction but rather tends to fuel the home team, probably more subconsciously than anything.

  ^^^How does it "fuel" them if they are unaware that its happening?
  
  Like I said: I don't care either way, it just seemed counter intuitive and I was curious if it was new or "team approved".
  
  One thing I do know: the Huskers win and advance. GO BIG RED!!!!
