  1. Assuming for a moment that the Hoiberg rumors are true: I take it back. I take it ALL back!!!
  2. NDSU has a tournament win in the last 5 years. UNO has beaten them several times. I'm not saying it is likely that UNO will win a tournament game in the next few years. But I do think it is more likely they will have more opportunities than the Huskers over the next few years.
  3. No doubt. But there are a whole lot of teams worse than Nebraska that have won tournament games. That's what I thought this thread was about.
  4. I'm aware. But step one is getting in. And I think UNO is far more likely to at least have a chance at an upset in the tournament over the next 2-3 years.
  5. Was it though? UNO will lose Jackson and Hahn, the rest should be back right? Nebraska loses a ton of production next year If I had to put money on one of the two teams making the Tournament next year, it's UNO. Can't win a game unless you get in....
  6. I agree with everything you said. But I'm not sure about the bolded; what would you call a person that wants Miles retained if not an "apologist"? a·pol·o·gist /əˈpäləjəst/ noun a person who offers an argument in defense of something controversial. "an enthusiastic apologist for fascism in the 1920s"
  7. I would love to hear the "eyerollers" thoughts on how the American electorate is engaged and informed. To be clear, my comment wasn't partisan. American voters are swayed by simple s#!t. Hell, the biggest news the last 36 hours is that Booker is dating a movie star. My god...
  8. I don't think you're wrong. And it is why my cynicism in the American public is growing at a rate that makes me sad and angry.....
  9. It is a weird feeling to look out my east facing front door and think, man what a night for a fish fry at the church.  And at the same time, know that just one mile past my west facing back door there are people that have lost absolutely everything.

I have friends who live in the Louisville area and Wahoo. What a mess! They’re just waiting/watching hoping the river will start to recede so that the water doesn’t get into their house!

  10. Intramural water polo was the best thing I ever played at UNK. You floated around the pool in an innertube and flung a volleyball around. Plus it was co-ed!
  11. Because he's an easy mark. Oh!....uhh... . I mean.....uhh....he's a great negotiator! Yeah...that's it.... Edit: I mean honestly, if I could get access to the President and I had a project that I felt was important enough to overlook my personal ego, I would meet with Trump ASAP. I'd tell him all the things he'd like to hear and even offer to put his name on it somehow. There is no way he wouldn't give you the money.
  12. Are you saying Sweden makes it impossible for its Citizens to be creative and driven?
  13. Is it more believable if it comes from Trump's administration? https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sm535
  14. You weren't making out with your girlfriend, were you?!?! (only a few may get this reference)
  15. I know, that's how this tangent started. However, that 45% is correct.
  16. How so? I guess the estimate for this year is around 44%
  17. That figure is around 47% don't pay income tax, that's what started this tangent. However, the entire 47% isn't complaining about how much they are or aren't getting back.
  18. I should be clear, I'm not against the Child Tax Credit. But I'm with you that it is frustrating to hear people that are in this situation talk about how their income taxes are being spent and/or complaining they won't get more.
  19. The discussion is about people that have a tax bill of zero, but still get things like the Child Tax Credit. They would be refunded whatever taxes were withheld PLUS receive "free" money from the govt.
  20. I don’t know....remember those new “45’s” they got a few weeks ago...?
