  1. As far as I know, all of our LB's have TWO hands. No excuses! Regarding offense, it will be a very interesting spring. (FYI: I've been having some celebratory drinks with neighbors and may post things that oversimplify the current situation)
  2. ^^^^^I've been told my name doesn't match my posts before. But I am pretty sure winning is more fun than losing. At least I think, it's been so long
  3. Farewell, Coach Riley. But he isn't the only person on the planet who can treat players and others with respect. Fitzgerald, Ferentz, and Brohm are all nice guys as far as I know, they finished ahead of Riley. Riley may have been good for some fans and players, but his on field results may have taken the fun out of the game for players. Ozigbo himself said this morning that he wasn't able to relax and enjoy this season. And his reason for not relaxing was not because he was scared of making Riley mad. edit: I don't mean to sound like I don't appreciate Riley the man, I do. But no one thought Riley was less than a great guy. No matter how nice he was, he wasn't getting done what he was hired to do. Personality aside, he didn't fit at Nebraska; he tried his best but it wasn't near enough. Articles or letters like this make it seem like his demeanor wasn't appreciated when that couldn't be further from the truth. His positive attitude may have been the only reason most fans were willing come back for year 2.
  4. I think a agree with you. I say "unflattering" you say "immature", I think we both agree it could and should have been handled better. We both agree on Eichorst. No matter what we agree on, in an alternate world, Frost wouldn't be in Lincoln today if a cheerful Bo Pelini churned out a 9-4 season for the Huskers this past year. The(poorly communicated) point of my original post: No matter where fans fell on the firing of Pelini, without it, Nebraska most likely wouldn't be announcing Frost as the coach today.
  5. One thing I'll never understand is the amount of flack Pelini got for the recording of his final meeting with the players. He said, in an albeit very unflattering way, what a majority of fans seem to be saying about Eichorst now. I wish the past 3 years never happened, but without them we wouldn't be at this exciting juncture we find ourselves at.
  6. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/former-teammates-say-frost-is-ready-for-challenge-of-rebuilding/article_c841b3dd-2e8e-5134-8f2d-0a26a7e90af3.html#tracking-source=home-featured Here I thought Jay Foreman didn't like the idea of Frost coming back....
  7. Not sure, but I do know I'm not wasting any time ordering tickets for my kids and I. I don't even want to risk missing it.
  8. Or maybe it was something requested by Frost to accept the deal....
  9. I always forget about him. I guess Speilman has got wheels too. Would Bradley be the starter? Assuming Frost takes the job, the Spring Game is going to be very interesting; buy your tickets early!
  10. Is there any WR/RB's on NU's roster that can match UCF's speed? I'm curious how it might look next year, but my expectations have been tampered a bit.
  11. I think Tommy Armstrong did Riley a lot of favors considering the results of this past year.
  12. I don't think it matters at this point either. My head is just spinning with all the comings and goings of the last 4 days I'm not sure if I'm remembering things correctly or not.
  13. Did Taggert leave? I thought he signed an extension yesterday and got a raise....
  14. Vermin, poultry, and nuts. Suggested options: Badgers Gophers Wolverines Hawkeyes Buckeyes (this is a nut, right? There mascot looks like a nut)
  15. When is this whole tired "dilly dilly" thing going to end. I mean, really, wwuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhzzzzzuuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppp! with that?
  16. I didn't realize he played a little after college. Didn't he have a huge Spring Game his freshman year and then move to WR?
  17. "You never get what you deserve; you'll only get what you earn!!!" -- message for Husker recruits starting Monday morning. Can't wait
  18. Brion Carnes! I forgot about him. He is Frazier's cousin and was supposed to be the spark Bo needed. There was a lot of excitement around him.
  19. Just out of curiosity, how many are on Nebraska? 15-20?
  20. I just listened to the podcast, Foreman even said it is "good that a former team mate is coming to be the coach". Then there was a snide comments about making 5 million a year "so that means we're gonna be good, right?" I really think DB and Foreman are well aware Frost isn't gonna fix this in year 1 or 2 or 3, so they are just laughing at all of the fans that think Frost will be the next Osborne.
  21. Wilson redshirted at Oregon and played at CC, correct? That would make him a sophomore (3 for 3)
  22. I don't think so. Damon has a pretty close view of the program. He knows a lot of things we don't. He probably sees a chance to discuss what went wrong in player development, recruiting, attitude, strategy, etc... and all everyone wants to talk about is how Frost is going to have Nebraska competing for B1G Championships in a couple years. It's not realistic, Benning knows it, and he still has to beat the same drum day after day. If anything, I'd say Benning wants to brace people for the idea that it may take Frost 5,6,7 years to get the team back to a competitive level. And he is scared Scott may have the crowd turn on him too soon?
