  1. I have a novel idea: Simply ask him what he means by his 30 days tweet. If people want to spew ambiguous tweets, they shouldn't be upset if someone asks for clarification.
  2. This blows. White, Watson, and Morrow had better be damn good.
  3. I'm utterly flabbergasted.Actually, after thinking about it, I wonder if he flunked out of school and entering the NBA draft is a way of trying to save face. Honors & Awards Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (Fall 2012, Spring 2013)Point taken, but was that before he discovered Neighbors? The story will eventually come out. It just makes no sense.

  5. Speaking of 500 yards rushing, here's a date and time for you: 11/14/2015 @ 1 pm Central Bo will get to exhibit his defensive prowess at home against NDSU. I hope that I can get a feed.
  6. I think about any team would want to get him just in self-defense. Packer fans whine about him enough now. If he went to the Bears, it'd be insufferable around here.
  7. Beck did that for specific players, too. He just never ran them. The last regime talked a lot about doing things to get the ball in their playmakers' hands. Then they never did. I'm hoping the Riley staff actually does this. Riley did back it up with examples, so I'm hoping for the best this time around. DPE excites me like some sort of a modern day Johnny Rogers when he gets the ball in his hands. He's simply electric.
  8. Look for Riley to design a play or two to specifically take advantage of DPE's abilities.
  9. Don't discount the fact that Riley clearly feels that he has something to prove before he's done coaching. You know the guy is motivated by this challenge. Personally, I can't wait to see what kind of success Riley has at DONU. I couldn't agree more. I think that he feels that he has something to prove before he hangs up the headset. He knows that he has more coaching years behind him than in front, and he sees Nebraska as a place where he could go out with a statement. That's probably the only way we pried him out of OSU. We're going to get this guy's absolute best effort. He's not going out without a fight. Buckle up.
  10. If Petteway didn't come to Lincoln, White and the two Chicago kids wouldn't be here. Period. Dwell on that for awhile.
  11. 1. Jalin Barnett - I think that he'll be a four-year starter and very special. 2. Eric Lee 3. Dedrick Young 4. Matt Snyder 5. Avery Anderson 6. Carlos Davis
  12. That was a good escape without Pitchford in there and basically having only two scoring options. Good effort by the guys-even if they tried to give it away countless times. I have to admit that Andrew White can't get on the court soon enough for me, though.
  13. In that case Jerry Kill and his coaching staff suck too. no argument here...... Mike Riley coached 4 years in the CFL. He won the whole damn thing twice and lost in the Eastern finals the 2 yesrs that he didn't win it all. He was Coach of the Year twice. That's 4 pretty damned good seasons of coaching. How effin difficult is it for people around here to wrap their minds around these simple facts? Good lord. Give the guy some credit.
  14. Unless there are some major improvements on the OL, our running game is going to regress. I don't know of any magical replacement for Ameer. There was a huge step down to the second string this year. If our running game is pedestrian, that is going to put even more stress on the passing game. Is Armstrong, Stanton, or Fyfe going to be up to picking up the slack? I keep hearing how we have all of these "horses" on our team, but I just don't see it. If you're going to bet on horses, you have to look at past performances, and that frankly doesn't instill a lot of confidence. Someone please show me why these aren't absolutely huge concerns. I'm all ears.
  15. Don't forget the Canadian years and the titles that went with them.
  16. Look, it's my position. It is my opinion. I just don't think that Nebraska should run a spread. That's my opinion.I'm hearing a bunch of bluster on this thread of why I'm wrong, but no facts/evidence to back it up.I'm a grown man, willing to admit mistakes. Folks want me to support their opinion - give me a reason other than "You're wrong." I agree with you. I have always been of the opinion that it is insane for Nebraska to run a system that pretty much requires upper tier recruits to have it function at a high level and then expect to compete with those schools that don't have that issue. Find a system that fits our geographical challenges and then religiously stick to it.
  17. Been saying this for years. The issue is that the lower seeds have just had a game to knock off the rust, while the upper seeds haven't played since their CCG's weeks earlier. I see that as a problem. Byes are a way of rewarding the top teams with an extra week to rest and prepare. In this example, byes actually hurt the top teams by forcing them into a long layoff and then having to play a team that hasn't had that long layoff. This could work if they rolled right into the playoffs immediately after the regular season. Then the bye would work in the top teams' favor as it should.
  18. I am absolutely an Iowa fan for a day. I'll always support the conference--especially over the SEC.
  19. A formal apology to the Big Ten seems appropriate. A human sacrifice would be a nice touch too.
  20. This is my concern as well. We really were mundane when Ameer was out this year. Will there be a rb that will step up? If not, it could be a very long year. I do expect better play from the qb position due to qb coaching finally being there.
  21. I still have to wonder how he slipped through the cracks, and we snagged him. This young man is a human highlight reel.
  22. A good start will be how quickly Riley and staff can deprogram the toxic mental mess that Pelini left. I want to see players playing to the whistle, not taking plays off, and showing genuine concern for the game when they're watching from the sidelines. If we just happen to be getting our collective asses handed to us by another team, I don't want to see any punks yucking it up on the sidelines. It had better look like a friggin' funeral service down there. They're playing for a lot more than themselves. When they strap on the N, they need to realize that they're playing for state pride. Go out and give 100%; work hard, and win or lose with Nebraska dignity and grace. That'd be a start.
  23. ....and those were saying in the other Suh thread?
  24. Riley leaves more coaching prowess in the bowl each morning than what that knuckledragger took to YSU. Any comparisons are laughable.
