  1. When I heard that the move was likely going to happen, I assumed that we would be hearing about Missouri and their giddiness over their invite? Did they not get invited? I thought that they would be such a good fit in the Big-11 on the basis of their J-School alone!
  2. Ditto times 10! Great move for the academics of this university!
  3. I simply cannot put away college football 2010 (this will not happen till Mid July), but the other games in the rotation are Red Dead Redemption & FIFA World Cup 2010.
  4. The more I hear about this, the more I am on board. That said however, I am INCREDIBLY worried about trading the arrogance of Texas for that of Michigan and Ohio State (I am sorry, THEE Ohio State). I do think if this college football armageddon comes to fruition we need to jump to the Big Eleven and say sorry to Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa Sate as we will be relegating them to the new Mountain West "Super Conference."
  5. While I hate Texas and their egocentric ways more than anyone else, I am not sure jumping ship to the Big 10 where we would be viewed as second rate (especially in academics, though I disagree) is any better. I just don't think I am willing to trade one tyrant (Texas) for two (Michigan and OSU). I mean look at all of the crap Penn State has gone through in the 20 years since their acceptance in 1990! Additionally, that 10 million a year would be nice, but I think it is MUCH to early to tell how the addition of 3 or 5 teams would impact the revenue stream from the Big 10 network.
  6. Super Tecmo Bowl is absolutely the best game ever made! Chicago Bears with Neal Anderson running & Mike Singletary getting 80 some-odd sacks a year!
  7. 5.1 Miles...Damn You Havelock!!!
  8. Congrads Big Red! Keep up the good work!
  9. So how many more posts today?
  10. ME FIRST PLAYER? Certain people get the luxury of doing things this way. The guy that make 90K in sale get more perks than the guy that didn't cover his salary. That's the way things are. If the kid wasn't talented he would not have this opportunity. As an OL you really don't get many opportunities for people to know your name until late in your career or if you get your QB hurt. We made an attempt to land Owamagbe Odighizuwa and from March 2009 to right before he said UCLA many praised him for being respectful and a good person. After the announcement to some on the board he turned in to a me first glory hog that wouldn't fit our program. My point is he was good enough to warrant that attention. We signed Tyler Evans from Waverly he was a top NU recruit but not good enough to warrant the dog and pony show. OWA was and so is Seantrel. Come on....this is a holdout! Looking for more $$$$!!!!
  11. I am extremely excited for this spring as I feel that we have 4 good, potentially great quarterbacks. I am very excited to see the progression of Green and Martinez, as it is often said that the biggest development for you players occurs between the freshman and sophmore seasons. :koolaid2:

please do us all a favor and dont show this kind of ignorance and stupidity again. You want to hate on MU, go ahead. But this kind of arrogant, pompous crap that comes from KU fans who are too damn stupid to even realize what they are talking about doesnt belong on this board. YOu are better than this WC. This board is better than that. Ha! It is basketball season, so I've been spending a fair amount of time eyeing their hoops boards. Granted, it's a little stereotypical, but you guys don't help yourselves when you have kids covering the lawn in front of the black culture center with cotton balls last week. i know. 2 kids on a 30,000 student campus. I mean thats like a whole 0.01% of the student population. Its a wide spread problem... Couldn't agree more! Let's put away the gross generalizations for good. Yes Missouri has some obnoxious fans, so does KU, CU, KSU, ISU and (GASP) even NU. I don't understand why some get so concerned with Tigerboard. We have a great team coming up this year, and we should be pounding kool-aid and dreaming of a brighter tomorrow! :koolaid2: :koolaid2: :koolaid2: :koolaid2:
  13. Pretty sure this is just to ensure that come the first game of the fall ESPN can say either: "Told you so! Lee was always the frontrunner...." "Told you so! We TOTALLY knew that Green was going to pass Lee!" ESPN...you have completely stopped trying. You cover as many sporting events as MTV plays music videos. SOMEBODY!!!! Develop a good sports network that will save me from this monstrosity!!! :espnsucks: :espnsucks:
  14. Meh...I am unmoved by Texas arrogance....
  15. I wouldn't get too worried about the fact that this "journalist" graduated from Missouri. Keep in mind Missery has one of the largest and most prestigious journalism departments in the country.
  16. I just want to see a packed Haymarket Park rocking after the Huskers destroy the Kansas Jayhawks in April!
  17. because he was way behind last fall. Had he had spring ball, he would have contended much earlier. If baseball is his sport of choice, why didn't he take a baseball scholly and also play football? He started four games last fall, but I don't think he made a hugh impact. I felt bad for him last spring. He chose us over Arkansas, and then the baseball team didn't even make the b12 tournament. Because he has to scholarship from football, no choice there. NCAA rules. Also, you do realize that the kid is a 5th round draft pick in baseball? And you realize how substantial that is? He will play baseball and football. He came here to do that and without that opportunity, he wouldn't be here. Also, plain and simple, its tough to go from high school ball to college ball in a matter of 9 months. There is a reason that kids don't usually have huge success as freshman regardless the sport. There is a learning curve. With football, even bigger. Our offense was terrible, one receiver wasn't going to make a difference on his own. Make sure you know something about the kid before making bold statements like that. Thatd be like saying if carl crawford would of come here, he should of given up baseball for football, because he's on scholly. That is the kind of baseball talent we are talking here. Playing WR on a football team is alot different then let's say being a punter. I do know what kind of athlete get's drafted in the 5th round. My point is if he's not going to a high quality WR, he's wasting space and not doing himself any justice. He missed fall ball for baseball and spring ball for football. How's he going to get any better at either? You certain seem to have a short fuse. You can insult me all you want, but I believe my points are valid and I would like a friendly discussion. How am I insulting you by giving you the truth? You jumped to a false conclusion that cooper would be sticking to football. No one ever brought erstad into the conversation, no reason to do so, since being a punter is different. Its hard to say your points are valid when you bring up 2 things that aren't true/possible as your points.
  18. Go get `em Huskers.....I am really looking forward to sitting on the (non-snow covered) berm and watching NU baseball!!! GO BIG RED!!!
